I have been meaning to go to the Dirty Apron for a while and finally went for lunch today. It was sensational. I had a combination of two vegetarian meals on the menu in flatbread. The flavours were divine and so flavoursome- moroccan spices, lemon, smahed olives, eggplant and other tasty treats. I was in heaven. The chefs and wonderful men and women working in there were so friendly and obliging. It was fantastic to be greeted and then have one of the chefs come out and expalin what delights were on the menu. I will definitely be back and I can't talk highly enough of the food and clever people working in this fabulous cafe.

Grabbed a quick takeaway lunch today from this lovely wee spot and it was just exceptional! The Quesadilla was not just your average tortilla wrap but absolutely choc full of flavour. I'm slowly making my way through what has got to be one of the best caramel slices I have ever had. Highly recommended folks!!!

I had lunch there again today, the service and food is just dynamite, got to be the best food place in town, love and thought go into the preparation, all the way to the table. Just love it !!

Went there today for lunch and I've found the food really tasteful and yum... I've seen an attractive presentation of the cabinet full colored and my expectation on the food have been confirmed... healthy choices on the salads as well as gf alternatives and vegetarian ones... be back soon!!! Good job guys

The Chef Cory is very clever at making healthy food taste good! I had a great gluten free salad and chicken and the Chai Latte was tasty too.

Real food made and served by a genuine down to earth team who somehow make a work day lunch turn into a culinary experience. A great spot in the morning sun that looks out on the Provincial Chambers, old stone court buildings and has trams trundling by. Worth walking a few blocks out of your way for.

Great food with excellent quick service. It's hard to beat a good guacamole and egg(+coffee) for a nutritious breakfast.

Great whole food - and staff really keen to make sure we enjoyed our visit. I am "gluten and dairy free" and was really pleased to see the effort The Dirty Apron has made with this.

This café is wonderful! I stopped here on a whim for coffee while visiting chch. The owners were really nice plus the date scone was delicious so I came back for lunch that afternoon. We got avocado toast and chicken tikka masala with roti. We liked it so much that we came back again the next day for lunch and tried the chicken biryani as well. The portions are generous and everything tastes fresh and well prepared. This was by far the best food I had during my 2 week visit to the city. Highly recommend!

This is a really cute cafe, the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Amazing milkshakes with fresh fruit! The smashed avocado was great, with the best has browns I have ever had! My partner had the chicken burger which he said wasn't so good. Also there are birds flying in and out constantly!

Fabulous cafe with such friendly and welcoming staff. Only had breakfast but it was so good we went back on the 3 mornings we were in Christchurch. Poached eggs were soooo good. Definitely recommend

Nice strong, hot coffee. Friendly service by the most lovely lady, who made you smile. The chicken and veg soup I had was amazing and was served with very yummy buttered bread. We sat in the window and watched the trams go past.

Wonderful service and two of the lovliest people in the country. I had the Chilli Omelette, extra spicy. Stellar with the perfect kick. Tiff had the Big Breakfast, also just great. But the best part is the service. I saw grumpy customers arrive but only smiling patrons leave. This place is a love light in a sometimes dark world. Don't miss it.

The most gorgeous, kind and friendly owners. So welcoming and funny. Amazing vegan options, and non vegan- great coffee and a great little spot. I love the Indian influence here too.

Absolutely amazing! As soon as my mum and I entered “The Dirty Apron Cafe” we were greeted with nothing but friendly faces. The food, the hospitality and everything about this cafe was outstanding! I would highly recommend the “chefs special” very tasty and full of flavour not to mention the portion size is enough to fill at least 2 people! Huge thank you for treating me and my mum to an amazing breakfast/experience!
