We had friends visiting from flood ravaged Gisborne who love Thai food. I had never been to Erawan Thai before but had heard good things about it. Absolutely brilliant, food came out quickly and piping hot! Lovely atmosphere and service.
Pretty nice ! Good service, decent size portions, nice garlic and pepper stir fried beef... but the money bags and curry puffs weren't as tasty as I can get from other thai restaurants. However I was happy to find some thai iced tea on their drinks menu !
I have only been to one other Thai Restaurant that would be equally as good as Erawan in Christchurch.
I never left anything on my place. The taste of my Seafood curry hot plate was delicious. The fish cakes had a nice bit to them.

We shared a very lleasant evening with friends. Food and servuce were good. The atmisphere is pleasant, expressing traditional Thai culture. It was a bit cool because the fire was not working.

Excellent food and very good staff. Just hurt a bit when the process went up substantially and we then had to buy rice separately. Highly recommend the spicy beef with chili and basil, and their pad Thai.
