The espresso bar / cafe scene here in Christhcurch has a new addition... opening today as I write this...
The short story:
A light airy venue to get great coffee and a bite to eat.
The longer story:
Located only a moments walk from many inner CBD attractions and nearby to convenient parking is this brand new espresso bar. It's only a small establishment, located on the ground floor of the also brand new "Westend" public car parking building, but it makes good use of the space they have, in terms of customer flow and seating options. A really nice feature is that the roadside windows slide up making a great open air connection to a reasonably busy streetscape.
I was warmly welcomed and the service was friendly and efficient.
They have a loyalty card scheme - terrific!
The owner(s) has/have chosen to go with a highly regarded bean provider (Allpress) that draws me in from the outset. Even before entering I knew the coffee would be really nice, and, dear reader, I was quite right.
I observed the barista using sound technique and the end result was all I could want and expect. Incidentally, if you order a moccha you will be pleased to learn they use a Belgian chocolate syrup - none of that powdery stuff that ends up in clumps at the bottom, no siree!

Warm friendly service and very very nice coffee indeed and I certainly intend to be back soon!

Great spot. Open scandi and intimate. Owned by bigger westend stories around the corner. Smaller selection of food. All staff friendly and helpful .

I have tried many places in the revitalised city centre for decent coffee on the way to work. I can frequently find a good brew however the trick is in finding a "consistently" good coffee. After recently trying Everyday Dose, I'm now three coffees in and every one has been a humdinger - even, smooth, strong and with character. To top it off, on two occasions, the barista made the effort to bring the takeaway to me. Consistantly great coffee and excellent service. I'll be back again and again.

Buen sitio para desayunar, nosotros estamos de turismo y lo vimos porque estaba cerca de nuestro hotel 32$ nz por dos cafes con leche grandes y un sandwich y una especie de bowl con cereales y yogur.
