Had a great NZ cup day here with friends and associates and the guy behind the bar went out of his way to get what we required even though they were out of stock, above and beyond for us mere visitors. Bar food was more than satisfactory, as was the overall service. We'll be back.
I love karaoke, The girls help with songs if your not too sure, All the karaoke players are great at making you feel at ease, 🌹🤗🌹🤗🌹🤗
Excellent place for a relaxing drink, very friendly bar staff and live music on Friday nights if you feel like a dance.
My husband and myself enjoyed a good night of watching the Canterbury rugby game last week and the meals are so affordable.
Staff and patrons were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere.

I would like to thank everyone I met at Mackenzies hotel. All I can say is they are friendly hospitable and the meals are amazingly yummy. Even the punters were welcoming. 5 stars from me
Great for the ponies. Pool. Horses and dog racing. Huge bar. Every Friday Saturday night are live bands. It's fantastic. I don't understand why more people don't go for the live music experience. Great pub.

Given the location..this is not a bad 'watering hole'. They have a few pokies(yep, donated to them) and a big screen telly and friendly staff. Also have live music certain nights too. It aint first class, but it feels like a safe place to walk into if you dont know anyone - like I did! (it looks a bit rough, but dont be put off, its a friendly place and the people mean well.)

Big open areas to drink, sit eat, raffles, dart boards, pool tables, book shelfs even full of book of course. Good food good staff, pokies with 4 jackpots wahoo.. go get some.
