Great breakfasts, for very reasonable prices, I have had several breakfasts here and have never been disappointed, the coffee is also of excellent standard and so are the chais. I have taken several friends here.

Franks is the by far the bestest Cafe around....sublime coffee, delish pizza, scrummy eggs Benny, divine muffins and yoyo's and superb salads....you can't beat Franks extremely helpful staff and service always with a smile.....I love Franks!!!
Tucked in at Eastgate. Surprisingly good food, wonderful, quick service, smiles and helpfulness all round. The food is reasonably priced, well cooked and served quickly. Will certainly be going again; well worth 5 stars. Thank you so much.

Excellent service and a great menu. The big breakfast is awesome though my personal favourite goes to,..... their salmon bagels. Yumm, a bit small to be filling but absolutely to die for.

I eat at Frank's Cafe every Tuesday and Friday. It is an excellent place to meet your friends and make new friends. People who go to Frank's seem to be the sort who are open to meeting new people and open to a wide range of subjects to discuss. I love listening to other peoples philosophies of life and sharing my own views. Don't get me wrong - there is plenty of opportunity to just tell stories and have a good laugh.
Service is friendly and fast and they are pretty much always smiling and laughing too.
I usually have a light breakfast on my days there consisting of English Breakfast Tea and a Carrot and Walnut Muffin.These muffins, made on site, are so tasty that I have taken to having one of these muffins every time I go for breakfast. Another favourite of mine is a pancake stack with grilled bacon, bananas and oodles of Maple syrup. I do see other people that I have become known too regularly eating their favourite meals from the extensive menu.
There are times in the morning at Frank's when I'm not up to sitting with others and joining in with whatever the mornings topic is. On these days I sit at an empty table and get out my current reading material. Most of the other dinners know that I'm not up for company just as yet and leave me until I put my book away and join in with the topics of discussion.
Frank's Cafe also has seating outside some of which is covered. A note for those who enjoy a durry with their coffee, there are tables outside designated for this past-time.
But I just cannot go past their delicious muffins especially the Walnut and Carrot one. They are also good for you and can keep you going right throughout the afternoon.

Eastgate mall really isn't for the shoppers, it holds stores that carry all the necessities for life and offers another great community library, food court, supermarket, The Warehouse and Chemists are the main reason for going to Eastgate if you live in the area. Fashion, pop culture and electronic shopping really isn't on offer there, Eastgate is a dedicated community hub for the Eastside population.
For 2 days in a row I had 2 different ladies printing out material for me in the library, they were so lovely & helpful, sure made my day & nothing was a bother to them
A small, easily accessible shopping centre cor of Linwood Ave and Buckleys Road. It now houses the Linwood library, medical Centre and a few other offices where the Farmers Department Store used to be. It has a Food Court which is quite popular with locals and visitors alike. Choice of dishes include Indian, Chinese, roast meals, fish and chips, soups, sushii coffee and hot drinks. The Mall houses the Warehouse, Countdown , Number one shoes, Pagani, Postie Plus, Max out, Pharmacy and a few others. It has toilets, Carpark, escalators and lifts.
Only went to the warehouse as they had something I needed found item easy plus few more service quite good young lady helped me with app for marketplace to get discounts
Enjoyed Eastgate Mall, had a variety of shops to choose frm, clothing to dollar dealshops, to hairdressers, which iv visited handful times n bn happy wth results, a countdwn supermarkt, the warehouse n w/stationary, eating/dining area n food to choose frm n much much more. Was very handy to where i stay wen i visit Christchurch.
Eastgate is such a convenient way to shop as there is plenty of shops to look and browse through window or to enter inside
food court is excellent
Last visit there was to support a friend while going to the Drs upstairs at the medical rooms

Nice atmosphere clean and stores are good. $2 shop had what we were looking for.

Easy to find with great parking!! Good selection of shops at reasonable prices. Food forecourt also has a good selection of both hot and cold foods. All the essentials like countdown, Westpac, warehouse, post office(back of paper plus) Toilets are clean and tidy. The mall as a whole is clean and tidy.
