A blast from the past, the early 90's theme took me back to my childhood. Ice cream in a bag Heated nuts Small theater 🎥 that was viewing the movie I wanted to see, I'm glad we went, I never knew this place existed. Lots of food options for before and after the movies on site.

Gorgeous cinema, and the staff are so accommodating and friendly! I ordered a milkshake which was delicious and was brought to me in the cinema, such great service. I didn't catch her name but the female staff member with glasses working yesterday was so lovely. Thank you Deluxe! :)

Went to Deluxe Cinemas, Woolston to finally see River Of Freedom. A must see for everyone. What an awesome smaller cinema, with extremely helpful, friendly, informative staff. I will be driving across the city from now on to support this theatre, due to the fact that they are the only place in Christchurch, to show the Freedom documentary. Hoyts Riccarton is no longer an option for me now. Just loved the all the quant shops there, at The Tannery.❤️

Such a lovely little cinema! Good size screen, comfy chairs and a good selection of films. Would get 5 stars if they had popcorn!

Gorgeous little cinema playing a wide range of movies. The Golden Ticket makes a great present for someone. It includes 2 tickets, 2 glasses of wine or beer, and a lovely cheeseboard

Wonderful experience in a small comfortable theatre. Very comfortable seating, excellent service from those at the counter, be it ticket, drink or food. Look forward to my next visit

Pretty decent cinema you get what you pay for. Funny cause is the second cinema where there is not popcorn 🍿? Is this a thing in Christchurch? That's one of the reasons I go to the cinema but anyway.. strange.

How cute is this cinema?! Went as a large group for a movie. It's not the cheapest place around, but you pay a little extra for the boutique atmosphere. And it was really nice to almost have the place to ourselves. Comfy seating, good sound and picture. Was a nice experience.

Movies are great and sometimes different. The staff are exceptional. One of my very favorite places to go watch a movie.

I went to see All At Sea with my Mum for her birthday here. It's my third time at this Cinema and I can say it never disappoints. Friendly staff, amazing snacks (the ice cream is great). The Cinema I've been in each time is Cinema 2 which is a great size for Mum as it's not huge and overwhelming like a Hoyts or Readings and certainly far from small. A great size screen, great sounds and very comfortable seats. Plus as this is a more adult Cinema each time has had no kids, so no talking during the movie, no food everywhere and no getting my seat kicked from behind which is a huge win for me. A great Cinema that I highly suggest.

Olde world charm is alive and well and living in Deluxe Cinema. There were drinks and other choices of food and sweet stuff to appeal to any palate and could be taken into the cinema. I settled in a comfortable velvet covered seat within an intimate setting. The movie started promptly. The ambience was great. I would definitely go again.

A favorite Haunt for a movie during day or night. I love the coffee and biscuits to welcome you around morning tea time during the weekdays. Staff always so lovely and super helpful over the website booking chat, so you can reserve tickets to save that $3.50 credit card booking fee. Lovely comfy seats. Never too loud. And usually the perfect temperature.

Always impeccable and friendly service at this cinema. I'd go as far to say I think it's the best in Chch. Great movies & a wonderful food and beverage offering (check out the cheese board!) Great value for money too. Dollars wise compared to the big chain movie theatres, in my view you get a much better experience for reasonable prices. I'd give Deluxe ten stars if I could!

Gorgeous wee theatre with a twist. We received a small bag of lollies each when purchasing our tickets. You can take a coffee or a glass of wine into the theatre as well. Will definitely be back!

Lovely cinema and the staff do an excellent job. I certainly would not be able to be quite as tolerant of the milling and confused clientele asking all the foolish questions that I unfortunately overheard while waiting for my movie but the two staff on did an amazing job.

Lovely old time charm cinema experience. Friendly staff, comfortable chairs with plenty of leg room and intimate theater size. We turned up this morning and were greeted with complimentary coffee and a decent size biscuit! No plastic tack everywhere and reasonable prices. Definitely be going back.
