One of my favorite go-to places to relax. Spring time is the best season to visit as the flowers are in full bloom. All sorts of colors will flood your senses 🥰 Aside from that, there's also a playground with a paddling pool nearby so the kids will also enjoy.
Christchurch Botanic Garden is an absolute gem in the heart of the city! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this serene oasis, and it exceeded all my expectations. The garden's beauty is unmatched, with a vast collection of plants and flowers that will delight any nature lover. 🌿🌺

Came early on a sunny Sunday as easier to get parking. The grounds are well maintained with lots of areas and trees/flowers to explore. The visitors centre coffee shop is a good place to stop for a break. Watch out for the birds trying to get your sandwiches!
Definitely a five star experience, so good we had to go back for a second visit. Magnificent trees. Avon river running through only adds to the experience. Don't miss the heritage rose garden - in full flower November, and the cottage vegetable garden.
Our second visit in two days. So beautiful and tranquil. We loved the ducks! Don't miss the amazing mosaic chair and footstool made from precious broken china after the earthquake. A very moving and beautiful piece of art.
Beautiful place to visit, relax and take a stroll. Running around it is the Avon river, which has ducks, eels and sometimes Swan's
Playground for the children and an ice cream shop close by. Great place for a picnic or to have sometime to sit and read a book.
The greenhouse has many tropical plants,

Free parking, lots of beautiful gardens and the river flowing through the middle. Very peaceful and recommend a visit while in Christchurch.
So many gorgeous flowers, interesting buildings and good public amenities.

Gorgeous gardens! Fantastic place to walk around, relax and enjoy the nature, and also learn a lot about the local flora. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who's visiting Christchurch, felt like a highlight of this city

The clear river bends through and the greenway keeps following it into the city. Pedestrian transit only in the Botanic Garden, but pushi
