Castro's Tapas & Bar - Christchurch - Photo album

We had a late lunch and it was very quiet but still vibrant. Loved the decor and the seats were really comfy. Great staff and the paella was delicious. We didn't have to wait as long as usual as quiet.
Went here only for paella craving - tbh dont like the tiger prawn as the shell stick to the body - wish it could be replaced by chorizo other than that the flavor is there :)
Pretty big place; nice decor; good Service; Food is great; great place to hang out with friends or colleagues
A great spot to have lunch on a sunny day out on the verandah. We had some items from what I would guess is the entrees or small plates part of the menu - fried chicken, calamari, mushroom flatbread and olives & pickles. Everything except the olives & pickles was fantastic! The staff were friendly a
We were wandering around the upper levels of the Riverside Market looking for a place to eat and found Castro's. The entrance for Castro's and Nikkei are the same so you let the people know which place you are actually looking for. It was fairly early so it was quite empty and we got an outdoor tabl
Amazing venue, so beautiful. Yum food. Paella wasn't crunchy but still good. The mushrooms croquettes are amazing and we will be back for more of these!!
Friendly staff, love the ambience and our lunch tapas & paella were delicious! Enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be back.
Second visit to Castro's and I'm not sure how they did it but this visit was even better than our first! These guys and girls are really invested in your dining at Castro's as an experience and not just as a place to get fed. The food was once again fresh, interesting and well balanced and the servi
This is a fusion of Spanish tapas and japonese. I only tried the Spanish food. Had 3 different tapas and they were all delicious and well prepared. The service was fantastic and the deco/atmosphere is also very nice and cozy.
Really enjoyed a late tapas lunch here on their gorgeous balcony. Fennel salad was exquisite and service superb.
The location, fitout and staff were exceptional, however the food although good lacked some wow - except for those Chuuros - yum!
We hosted our conference dinner at Castro's on Monday night (3rd July). There were 16 of us. Castro's did a set menu which was amazing. There was plenty to share, the food was fantastic, the service was great and everyone enjoyed themselves. Would definitely do this again and recommend to others. T
Good ambience. Seafood paella was great! Sangria served in cute glass jar. The octopus was only downside as bit slimy and bland. (I normally love octopus but couldn’t finish) They have happy hour, I would love to go again for drink and other tapas to try.
Food is good. My wife and I had dinner here. The environment is not bad.
