Everything about this cafe is beautiful. The food is so well presented and tastes amazing, the customer service was really good! The lady greeted us at our table and took our orders by memory. The best iced mocha i have had in a while and the views of the beach from the tables are even better. The only problem is the bathrooms are also shared with the hot pools so they are in constant use, better to go over to the library. I also noticed they sell plants so make sure you bring some cash if you want any.
We went there on Saturday. It was almost 1 PM but the place was very busy! We ordered light meals and waited 20 minutes for our food to arrive. Although we were not hungry, the food tasted a little plain. We can enjoy the view by the sea which was a highlight of this cafe. Otherwise, average place to go.
Saturdays Cafe in Christchurch offers a fantastic experience. Easy, delicious breakfasts, stunning beach views, and the unique flavor of feijoa made my first visit unforgettable. Highly recommended for a relaxing beachside meal!
Love the cafe and views! The food was excellent too! We ordered the bao buns with pork belly and peanut butter waffles! It was delicious the bao buns and the pork belly was tender! The waffles were crispy and the peanut butter was smooth! Coffee was great and service was excellent
Food here is delicious and meals are big, Chef's seem happy because you can see the happy jokes they have with each other in the kitchen.
Sometimes the waiters and waitresses are so busy they seem to forget the pleasantries but that's only on odd occasion.
Overall, great place to go and enjoy a summer's day. Hopefully this place will eventually explore opening hours in warmer months for a dinner service as they have prime location and would rather to ALWAYs go here then Salt on the Pier 🤢
Had brunch on Sunday here and it was great! We ordered the waffles (with extra bacon) and omelette which were both tasty. The coffees were fantastic too. It was quite busy when we went so I would highly recommend making a booking to secure a table. Would definitely come back.
We were dining on a public holiday about 1.30. Some tables were full and eating most were empty. Paid for our order and waited & waited over 1/2 hour seem a little long for or order.
Ordered chicken burger that was lovely chicken itself was delicious. Eggs with bacon and sauce. Just lovely, eggs perfect, only thing was the bread was quite tough and hard to cut let alone chew, maybe if it was buttered may have made it easier? I realise it is mostly because of the type of bread, possibly a softer bread type option could be a remedy. Also chips were ok.
Love it! Love the food, the location (you can see the New Brighton beach from where we are sitting), and the staff are so sweet.
The best coffee I've ever had. Beautiful food. I had poached eggs with smoked, paprika hollandaise it was soooo good. Friendly service, nothing was a problem. Great value for money. We will be back.
Flat white was good although maybe a little too milky tasting. Smoothie bowl was divine. Nice decor. I was there early so served quickly. There wasn't much cabinet food out at that time. Will be back!
This place brings pure pride to New Brighton. Every day feels like Saturdays here. The food is so fresh and delicious. They do an incredible all day bene brunch. My personal recommendation is the crispy chicken and kewpie mayo. The tender pork bao buns are also amazing taste bud detonators exploding with flavour.
Pastel colored Saturdays Cafe by the New Brighton Beach and hot pools offered a hearty brekkie. Menu had both breakfast and all day options. Seems to be very popular by the baby and toddler people. Also handy for those at He Puna Taimoana hot pools 💦 Cute as.
Awesome new spot in New Brighton, located right within the new pools, He Puna Taimoana. The coffee is great and the food was tasty - the breakfast options were varied and I was intrigued by multiple selections! Where it fell slightly flat for me was the interior ambiance (my personal preference is for a cozier feel). But the service was great, the food was lovely, and you can't beat the location.
Lovely cafe close to the park and beach, the windows on the inside look out into the hot pools which is odd if you aren’t there for a swim, there is plenty of seating.
Cabinet food is yummy and coffee is great most days.
Fantastic new cafe next to the new hot pools and beachfront playground in New Brighton. Open kitchen, clean, fresh space with friendly staff. Beachy feel with obstructed views of the ocean and good view into the hot pools. We had a vanilla cheesecake donut from the cabinet which was ok. Presentation of drinks & food delightful. Looking fwd to going back to try different menu items. Staff very friendly. I do think their hours could be extended. Especially when something big like Coast to Coast is on. I recommended the cafe to others but it had shut at 4. I will certainly be back & do recommend. Let me know what you ate and loved!
Fantastic food! Pricing was just above your average cafe but with the quality you get it's so worth it! I'd reccomend going here if you're in the east of Christchurch 👍
