We had our work Christmas function here last night. We chose the $42 Christmas buffet. The food was DELICIOUS. Chicken was moist and tasty. Ham divine and the tomato soup was to die for. We had several dietary requirements and these were carried out with no fuss or hassle. BIG ups to GREER for the fantastic stress free arrangements and also to PIP who looked after us seamlessly and professionally. Special mention for Karen, who is just Karen and always deserves a mention. HIGHLY recommend.

Dined in the newly renovated restaurant with my family of 3 for the Sunday buffet dinner. The food was very nice and of a high standard and the seating was nicely arranged. One complaint would be that at 6pm - 7pm the buffet area would become crowded and a large line of people would form waiting to get their food, i felt that was very poor, other than that very nice place and I would dine again for sure.

Go here everything we visit Christchurch. Kiddies meals $11 for great main and dessert. All staff helpful and welcoming, shuttle service great. Great food, depending on where (restaurant, bar food or cafe) and what you are eating prices differ, restaurant cost more but for $35 some nights for all you could eat meat, seafood, soup, vegetables, salads, dessert, tea and coffee, not bad, bar meals are large and inexpensive.

On Saturday evening I dined at the Hornby Club with my 2 grandchildren aged 2 and 4 years old. We were seated by the wee playground. I would like to say from the moment I called to book the reservation the customer care and service was the best I’ve ever had. The girl’s waiting our tables were just delightful, they were excellent with my grandchildren who were fussed over and treated like royalty from the minute we walked in the door. Both of them are an asset to your establishment. I’m sorry I didn’t get their names. I will strongly advocate what a fantastic and inclusive family friend place the Hornby Club is to dine. We will definitely be returning. Kind regards Toni

Had a delicious breakfast. Although my friend didn't get what she ordered. Friendly service. Good decor. Sun is a bit bright morning time. Gets busy. We were impressed we returned same day for lunch. Plenty of parking.

I went to a function there, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, there were lots of tables, and you could easily see the stage, security were doing a excellent job, with the not so excellent people, we all had a great time, parking was a plenty.

Nice Club this one. Stopped here for lunch and was served up a great meal at very generous prices. They have all the facilities with pool and snooker plus a great gaming room. Just note it is a chartered club so you need to be signed in by a member or an affiliate from another club. Car parking is out front with HWMC on each park. If you want a nice meal and chat with friends and family this is a good place.

For hornby it has a pretty good workings men club, good location! And has function rooms that can be hired and normally have events in them. The food there is really good! The meals used to be bigger but they are just going with the fancy look, just not as much food! Still good though. Doesn't normally take too long to come out either! Can only come in with a member and they sign you in.

Food was okay. My roast I felt the veges had been from leftovers. Waited over an hour to get the childrens dessert. I think they had forgotten them as I had to go and ask for them and I still waited

Fantastic new facilities thanks to a recent rebuild. Been members for many years but let it lapse through Lockdown and then waiting for the build to finish. Finally got around to visiting today and wasn't disappointed! Light, bright and spacious. Well thought out. I had the small roast which wasn't small! Nice range of local beers on tap as well.

If you are going for a party vibe then this is not for you. This is a working men's club and is awesome. Good food and great prices ... for members.

I had my 50th birthday there Saturday. The staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful. Greer who handled our function was so good at communicating with us and accommodating our requests. We also had an excellent coffee in the café while doing the room preparation. Great value for money.
