Went here for lunch today on the recommendation of “1 fish 1 scoop”. Got two fish and one scoop of chips and then went to the beach to eat it. Well! It was a massive portion of chips, hot crispy delicious chips! Very well salted and fluffy on the inside. Some of the best I’ve had. Then the fish.
Easy ordering, helpful and pleasant young lady taking orders. 15 mins max from start to finish around 5pm on a Monday. Chips were really good (crisp outside, fluffy inside), fish a good size, although Gurnard we ordered wasn't Gurnard (probably Hoki), Sole and Elephant fish were good. Outside of bat
Best Chinese food takeaway in Christchurch, hands down. I'm quite picky with what I'd define as a "good" Chinese takeaway but this takes the cake. Reasonable prices, decent sized portions.
I had a combination chow mei cooked by the man. And was delicious and fresh. All the good veggies ur body needs. Def be back for more options

Awesome feed, the whopper burger was amazing and the chips were good value!
Most of the chips were crisp though not crunchy. The hotdog was okay - not too heavy with the batter.

Bought two crumbed fish which was superbly cooked, plus chips.
Next time I shall order only half chips, well cooked please & ask for salt & vinegar to be added for flavour.

The nicest Fish and chips in New Brighton and I love the Chinese takeaway meals too - consistently excellent. Very generous sized pieces of fish and a huge scoop of chips. Great value. A lovely family business.

This is a fantastic spot for classic chinese take out and fish/chip. Always hot, always tasty. Well priced. They even have prawn crackers too! Highly recommended.
Great fish and chips. Generous scoops of perfectly cooked chips and nice fish. Friendly staff and quick service. Will definitely be back next time we're in New Brighton.
Hands down the best Chinese food we’ve found in Christchurch so far but the prices have gone up so much, I'm unsure its worth it anymore....
My family local! Always have consistently great fish and chips, burgers are also really good. Kind service everytime and waiting time is not long at all.
