“Kopitiam” expectations exceeded. Would like to point out how clean the customer area is. Went to try out the watanhor and it did not disappoint. Had it with the in-house complimentary chili. Tasted garlic, ginger & vinegar in the chili mix. Added extra “kick” to the flat noodle dish. Have a no-br
Cosy restaurant with small space and kitchen, so adjust your expectation accordingly. Good value, fast service and authentic Malaysia food. We like the nasi lemak, hokkien mee, char kway teau and char bee hoon.
First time trying at this resturant, they were so busy! 🤗 Everything was great, big portions and reasonable prices for each of them. Definitely will go back again👏
Incredible place. Authentic through and through. Great genuine service - amazing food. Like just simply fantastic. Rate this place an 12/10. So good we have eaten here multiple times on a 1 week holiday to Chch.

Genuinely the best, most genuine Malaysian food you’ll find in Christchurch. So awesome having a bit of home so far away from home. Highly recommend dining in as some dishes are best for it. Takeaway is still great but you might need to check with staff with what you pick. To have meals like this at

As a Asian I can tell you right now, this is what we call trandation asian food taste. The fried noodles fried rice absolute must try item. Dry enough not like some "chinese"restaurants their fried rice are wet. If you would like to try some really good and good value asian food. Here is your firs
This is a lovely malaysian retaurant. They serve you some chinese tea to star. The staff were very courteous. Its a nice and small restaurant. We had a tomyum soup and wonton soup. It was very good. I enjoyed them. Then chakwetiyav was nice too. I would definitely recommend this place. The price is
Came here first time with my son. The Wonton Noodle Soup was so delicious. Generous portions of wontons. Tasty noodles. Later visited by myself for the second time. I will come again for sure because l cannot find better wonton noodle soup anywhere else. Deeply impressed!
I love the prawn noodle soup, but everything looks fantastic and tastes authentic. Shop always full of discerning people. Takeaways also available so posting menu. I'll definitely be back.
The sambal fried rice is a 5 star dish on its own 🔥 a must try spot if your ever in chc
Always have had a great experience here for many years, generous large portions at an affordable price and the Malaysian flavours are on point. Service is super quick. Place speaks for itself as it is usually full and you may need to wait for a seat. Highly recommend!
We ordered Lor Mee and Nasi Lemak. I must say lor mee is pretty authentic, better if they have had added a little more minced garlic to give that kick. The Nasi Lemak is a disappointment. The coconut aroma is lacking in the rice which is essential in Nasi lemak. We will be back to try the black
It is a small place but the food and service are both amazing. Totally worth going to. I would definitely recommend it. A+++
Always be the place to go when we craving for authentic Malaysian flavours, they never stingy on ingredients, affordable price with huge portion to be shared, plenty of options and many can be made vegetarian, free chinese tea available.
