Love this place. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. Staff are attentive too. Surprised it’s not busier but kinda want to keep it a secret too!
Delicious eggs Benedict, espresso, and the chocolate desert with blackberry ice cream were all outstanding.
Our server, not sure if he told us his name, was very personable.
Fab place to have some good food, great cocktails & relaxing comfortable seating with friends😊

We like to call Hotel Montreal our "local" as we live nearby. The food is "always" of incredibly high standard & the service is some of the best you will experience anywhere in our city. We arrived for Mother's Day lunch today to be greeted by the young lady behind the desk.... She saw us arriving
Wonderful food and service. Right next to the bar and noise travelled. Making it a bit kiud in resteraunt. Clean toilets and modern facilities. Love the polo theme and horse photos. Beautiful gas fire for ambience.
Staffs were very helpful and friendly. We order an Argentinian meal for two people. It was only NZ$ 90ish but the meal includes two steaks or rumps of your choice from their menu + plenty of winglets + lamb sausages + salad + seasonal roasted veggies ! It was a massive bargain yet the quality of foo
New owners last year. A wonderful lunch ! Imaginative, well cooked, and a great mix of flavours. And a very interesting wine list. A great place for a leisurly meal. Freindly, unobtrusive service, and great fit-out.
We had an exceptional meal and struggled to make a choice from the exquisite menu. 11/10 was our rating for the chef. The young lady attending to us was a delight. We were very impressed with the quality of the selection of wines on offer, it is often notable that restaurants stock the cheaper wines

The tapas menu is very affordable and I really like the lamb flatbread!! As well as the crispy fried chicken! Would definitely come back

The Polo Bar & Restaurant is a hidden secret in Christchurch and worth visiting. The south american style food was amazing. I ordered way too much food but I wasn't too worried about that, I wish I had more time to stay and finish it all
A lovely place to eat. The food was good, a bit bland though. Would have been what we ordered though. Would be a lovely place to have a wine and sit on the couch by the fireplace in winter.
We came at a very quiet time of the day. Unfortunately we were in a rush so didn't get to enjoy some time here. Food was tasty and the staff were pleasant and friendly.
