I have always had a high set of criteria for any Thai restaurant. Of course the main being food quality and blend of flavours. Excellent work to the kitchen team. The meals are top notch and there are no over powering of herbs and spices. The service was delightful to say the least. Atmosphere well thought of and enjoyable. Relaxed but elegant. Well done to the team.

TLDR: Restaurant atmosphere (music and decor) was lush, relaxing and welcoming. Everyone was professional, attentive, provided exceptional service and great food that makes me think of home (I’m Thai)… the name of the restaurant speaks for itself after all. FULL REVIEW: First time at this restaurant and it’s an extremely rare thing for me to give a 5-star rating and it’s 100% deserved… Where to begin (because there are so many positives to my experience with them tonight). Their service is PHENOMENAL! From beginning to end the wait staff, chef and owner (Uncle Keo as I now call him) embody what it means to be Thai. Once my waiter knew I was Thai he went to get the chef so that I could speak to her in our language and ensure I get what I want and can talk to the food in a way non-Thai can’t. I gave a brief rundown of why I’m in Christchurch and even though I’m only here for a night, I miss home (specifically my mum’s cooking)… after the waiter gave me my main course ผัดกะเพราหมู [Pad Kra Prao Moo] and went back to the kitchen, he came back to ask if I wanted ไข่ดาว [Kai Dow] which of course I said yes because Thai fried egg is traditionally eaten with this dish. The chef checked in on me periodically for general chitchat, and to make sure I was happy with the food. When I said my ผัดกะเพราหมูไข่ดาว [Pad Kra Prao Moo Kai Dow] wasn’t as hot as I would have normally have (I eat a lot of chilli for obvious reasons) she made me พริกน้ำปลา [Prik Nam Pla] a traditional Thai chilli dipping sauce that we eat with most dishes which completed the meal for me! Talk about above and beyond… She is truly a lovely person and her food is equally as lovely! I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner “Keo” so I could thank him for everything, it was more than a simple transaction. His chef and staff made me feel welcome like I was at home (even though it is a stylish restaurant) and the food was อร่อยมาก [very delicious]! I have promised to come in every time in the future whenever I’m in Christchurch 😀 If you want to experience Thai hospitality as it should be then you should come to this restaurant. Yes it might seem a tad pricey for the average Joe but it is on par with all other restaurants within short walking distance, so there’s nothing for me to complain about there. One last thing… Thank you to the man who served me tonight, you were very considerate, going above and beyond in your service, holding the door open for me as I left truly made my experience a fantastic one. I ordered ผัดขี้เมา [Pad Kee Mao] for takeaway to have later which I’m sure will be good too. ขอบคุณค่ะ x

The food was very good and the overall appearance of the restaurant was very appealing I did find that the food sevings for the price was a little expensive with regards to the small plates we where given! But still a pleasant dinning experience.

The food in this restaurant equals any fine dining experience we three have enjoyed on 5 continents. The food is expertly prepared from fresh ingredients and expertly seasoned. The ambience is relaxed, yet refined. The service is attentive, yet unobtrusive. Not to be missed - great value for the price.

Flash decoration, price is higher than others but we think it's worth it since the atmosphere added on to the value. Best place for functions and special occasions.

We went with First Table and the ambience was very calm with elegant French decor. Customer service wonderful. Food was divine, beautiful layering of flavours, amazing herbs. We were so happy, thank you :)

Very nice restaurant, looks more like a modern hotel restaurant than a lot of Thai restaurants. Would be a good place to take visiting business associates. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. We have visited Thailand many times and having just returned from there a couple of weeks ago I can say the food is authentic Thai. Owner/chef is Thai and took the time to talk with us briefly. Only down side is lack of byo and the wait staff made a couple of minor errors but that's pretty much par for the course. Hence only 4 stars. We will definitely be back, hopefully 5 stars next time.

What an awesome experience this was. The fish cakes but particularly the dipping sauce that came with it were amazing. But the fact that when we commented in that, the chef actually came over and told us what was in the sauce was beyond belief! The chicken skewers were really good as well, as was the crispy chicken dish. And the red wine glass being warmed and the white wine glass being chilled was incredible. That is how it should ge done, but it is very rare that you actually find this. A+ experience all over, and we will definitely be back for more

Tonight we had an urge for Thai food and Keo’s was the nearest open Thai restaurant so we wandered in. The place is very clean and tidy, food was absolutely delicious (which also came out sooner than expected) and the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly (although one of them seemed nervous so perhaps it might not be his usual role there.) Overall it was really great and I would recommend anyone wanting Thai food while enjoying a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere to give this place a try. Sorry, no photos but the Phad Thai, Massaman Curry and Curry Puffs were had.
