If your after a fresh tasty fish burger this is the place! Potato fritters and hot dogs really good too.
Staff are super friendly! Travelled 45 minutes to have these burgers, well worth the travel
I can't believe that ANYONE could give this place a bad rating. I am a local and a regular at the CB Takeaways. The fish is always delicious and perfectly cooked (I always order terakihi) and the chips are great too. Burgers are nice and there is a good range to choose from. Service is always friendly and efficient. I get these takeaways about once a week and have never had a bad meal. Definitely worth the trip out and you can always grab a meal and head to the beach to watch the sun set.

One of the BEST fish and chips i have ever had everythigng seems so clean and the food is super yummy!!!, and seems like it is cooked with pride. Best service i have ever had so friendly and welcoming a number of friends have comented on how well served they were. I highly reccomend this fish and chips!!!!!!!
This was our first visit here, there were several choices of fish available. For those wanting something else there was the usual takeaways food as well, Curry Rolls, Spring Rolls, Burgers etc.
We all enjoyed our choices, the snapper was a good size and tasted yum too.
The staff were very friendly, limited choice of drinks available.
New owners and open now 7 days. Pizza night Mon Tues from 4pm and Fish & chips etc rest of week from 12.00 noon till 8.30. Hours consistent and professional service.
Good food every time, the fish is always fresh and cooked to perfection. They are always busy on a Friday or Saturday night but try get your order done as fast as they can. Even if it does take a little longer it's worth the wait! Up there with the best fish and chips I've ever had!
Great Food the best I have had in a long time. Service was great too. I have never tasted Hoki like it with home made batter. The chips were to die for.
I was told the food would take 40mins as they were so busy, that was ok we wondered around the area. When we returned the food was ready just as they had said.
I will most certainly go back.

The new owners have absolutely done a awesome job taking over. They always do a good feed, the wait times are never too long, the new options are good. Now offering new options aswell as breakfast lunch and coffee.
My sister, Mum and myself had 3 pieces of snapper and chips. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside and the fish was fresh and covered in a light batter…very tasty! I would go back again and have the same dish and try some other menu item!
Nestled in the beach burb Clark’s Beach Takeaways brings a real feel to the classic kiwi eat! Great menu to choose from at competitive rates. The fresh, clean taste makes you completely satisfied without the heavyweight. We had the famous “fish taco’s and wrinkled fries - YUM! My photo doesn’t do justice so you will most definitely have to pop in say hello and be impressed.
The staff went above and beyond for me. I was new to the area and stopped by for an evening meal. Unfortunately, I arrived just after closing. While looking for something elsewhere the young lady came out and asked if i was ok. Explaining my situ, tion she told me they would cook me something. The food was tasty and cooked well. It is now my regular place to get take out..
