The best cafe in Golden Bay. I go to The Courthouse Cafe often. The food has always been absolutely top notch. The coffee is great. There is a room in the cafe which has a good selection of retro and Kiwiana antiques and books. Always something interesting to look at and / or buy. The Courthouse is a must-visit if you come to Golden Bay. (26 scenic km from Takaka and well worth the drive).

Popped in for a quick bite, and noticed they had a burrito on the menu. Being a Mexican food fan, I thought why not give it a try, and I was not disappointed. One of the best burritos I have had in Nelson, and that includes at the Mexican restaurants! The Chai Lattes were so good that I had a second one!

Great place to drop in and refresh and relax. You can sense the tension dripping off the punters. Awesome coffee and delicious temptations. Every town should have one!!

Sensational spot, sensational food. Thanks for such a lovely evening last Friday. Best pizza we have had since visiting last year. Sensational quite frankly. Great value too. And then again for the Breakfast stack this morning for brunch. God I could eat that every day. See you next time we are in the Bay.

That Steak-Mushroom Pie was the best I have had in a very long time! No microwave involved, just crispy, fluffy pastry hot from the OVEN. Steak was yummy, without anything "in-chewable", the mushroom were real mushroom slices, carrot pieces gave away the "home made", and the whole pie was stuffed with all those goodies - not just gravy. YUMMY!

We called in for a quick lunch before going on the Farewell Spit Tour. Great atmosphere. Tidy and interesting. Food was great. Because in the hurry of heating in oven it was THE WONDERFUL fish pie was a bit cool. Better for pie to be heated in oven. Friendly except to seagulls.

A great spot for breakfast! So interesting to see the history behind the cafe and the place really does have a lot of charm. I found the staff to be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food is absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and well presented. Very filling and the meal sizes are very generous! Definitely well worth a visit if you're looking for a great meal in a unique spot.

Unexpected, such a beautiful cafe! So cozy and comfy to sit, chill music and people. Delish stuff on a menu. Totally loved cinamon buns, best I had so far in here. (Nearly didnt manage to take a photo). Will surely be looking forward to come back!

Fantastic little coffee shop. Friendly staff and great service. Lovely coffee and would highly recommend the baked goods. We particularly enjoyed the sausage roll and the raspberry, white chocolate and mango muffin - the best we’ve had in NZ!

The perfect place for coffee and a morning treat! Lunch is good too! The coffee is great and you’ll want to bring your own cup if you need to take away your coffee — they’re eco conscious and do not use disposable wares ✨ ✔️ Way to go!

It's been a few years since we've been I think the menu has massively improved. I had a panini, husband had a beef burger which was homemade and so tasty. The chocolate torte, muffin and caramel slice were fresh and the torte was incredible. Service was efficient and very friendly.

This place is an absolute gem. Delicious food, really friendly service, great kids area with a playhouse (in view from the tables inside) and really nice setting. The pies are absolutely delicious, really nice brunch and the fresh pressed juices are divine. Collingwood is lucky to have such a great outlet and even open 7 days!

Lovely atmosphere, delicious food, love the use of local pottery. The one downside is paying for a Twinings teabag 😔 Especially when you see the lovely tea tins full of leaf tea on the shelf. One other critique is that not all the cabinet food was labelled and certainly not priced. Thus we had no idea what everything cost, but spent a little over $50 for 2x hot drinks, 2x cold drinks, 2x cakes and 2x pastries.

A+++ could not ask for a better meal! Will be back again t try more. Quiet more little restaurant just on the right as you first get into collingwood. One of the few remaining buildings that still stands from the great fires of Collingwood township.

This cafe is in a historic building that used to be the courthouse in Collingwood, hence the name. Nowadays, it's a happy place serving cafe style breakfasts, lunches and pizzas at night. It's great to have a contemporary cafe in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Coffee and service is ok. Excellent choice of indoor and outdoor seating, with a choice of different settings. If you're a chocolate fan, try the chocolate torte, it's deliciously chocolate-heavy.

Yesterday I ordered a chicken cranberry panini and cappuccino and today a bacon & egg bagel and...cappuccino of course! Very nice double shot coffee and nice food too... bread was quite dry and hard both days though. Apart from that it's a great place to relax and enjoy a good cafe when around Collingwood.
