Great welcome as soon as we walked in. Warm interior, lovely staff, comfortable stylish furnishings and decor. Beautiful views of the lake. Tried the advertised Cassels beef stew and potato mash, it was the perfect meal for a nippy day of wandering the Old Precinct. Ordered an Oat milk Chai to go and it was excellent too. Bathroom wallpaper very cool too. We will definitely be back!

One of the finer cafe-restaurants in Cromwell. Set in a 19th century-style stone building, it gives a hearty nod to the town’s rich history in its days of old. Rustic flare meets upscale bistro style at this modern eatery with an old-world feel. Artisanal fusion menu featuring a high turnover of fresh, locally sourced ingredients with continental inspiration, prepared to a gourmet standard. Service is top notch — the duty manager, Kira, is a delight. Her deep knowledge and professional demeanor only enrich the whole experience. And with stunning waterfront views over Lake Dunstan, The Office really ticks all the right boxes. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to friends, family, colleagues or anyone passing through the area.

Gorgeous place for a sundowner. Sadly we didn't stop for dinner - the tapas menu looked amazing. Friendly staff and a lot of specials.

Good service, good view , good location. The food was alright, but I think the chef used microwave for some cooking 😏

The location whilst known on the tourist trail is a bit out of the way on a cold winter night. But get there early enough to watch the ducks on the lake as the sun goes down and enjoy the warm cosy atmosphere and punchy cocktails. The burgers were delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

From beginning to end our visit was a pleasurable experience.... Friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, warm pleasant atmosphere. We tried a wide variety of menu options from starters to desserts, and each course was as good as the last. Will definitely visit again.

Had overlooked this place last time in Cromwell, as lower part of the street, but noticed people sitting outside having so craft beers so stopped off for coffee and a light snack (a platter). The platter was huge, with great selection of cheese, bread, dips and fruits etc. We ended up having a second coffee each & having a long leisurely lunch. Friendly staff, good food and coffee etc so highly recommend

This a nice place well located in the picturesque old Cromwell. Food menu is efficient and they have Poutine which works well on cold winter nights. Beer on tap, cocktails and wine by the glass. The selection is small but you can find your way. Happy hour on everyday which is a plus!

I ordered the beef brisket sandwich - absolutely delicious! The best I've tasted, they just need to put it on a bigger plate. Friendly and attentive service as well. I wish that I lived closer so I could eat here regularly!

Came for dinner while down in Cromwell and I would say even though I havent been anywhere else for dinner in the area yet, that this was the best meal in Cromwell! We shared stuffed Mushrooms, Pea, Mint and Feta fritters, Salmon with Israeli Couscous and a winter Crumble to top it off!! A Wellingtonian could not reccomend enough :)

Food and service were phenomenal. My brother and I had dinner there two nights in a row - we didn't even look anywhere else (and we were staying in Queenstown) because it's so good!!! Highly recommend!!!

18 Feb 2021: enojyed a lovely meal (pulled pork bun with double dipped chips and salad) with my wife. Beautiful food, cooked wondefully, in a pleasant and quiet building. The service was great, and speedy. No complaints at all :)
