Absolutely brilliant food. Coming from a very basic eating preference I was somewhat dubious looking at the menu. But went in with an open mind and SO glad I did. Each and every course was absolutely exploding with flavour and highlighted the clever chefs take using different ingredients of the meals. We had the feed-me menu which was 5 courses and although plates look small, it was certainly filling by end of 5 courses. We’ll be back and will be telling anybody we see to try the unusual meals.

Excellent food atmosphere and service. Very knowledgeable staff especially the main chef. Intimate surroundings and a chance to watch your food be prepared close at hand. Highly recommended.
From the moment we arrived the service was excellent. The food was amazing, over two hours of fantastic tastes and textures with complementary wines and cocktails. Sam and his team were unbelievably hospitable, can’t wait to come back.
A very special dining place, great atmosphere, fantastic service, we didn't like all of the dishes, but it was a memorable experience
Wow Moiety is amazing! Had such a fabulous dinner sitting up at the bar so we could watch all the action. the Oysters were outstanding! Melted seaweed butter cooked over charcoal highly recommend. All of the dishes were super tasty and executed with such care and attention to detail. We will certainly be returning the next time we are in town.
Memorable dining experience in every way. Imaginative food beautifully prepared and presented and great ambience. Sitting at the bar/kitchen and interacting with the staff added a great element to the whole experience. One of us was a pescatarian and they were delighted with their options.
Our first go at this fine eatery located in a fabulous building in our pretty city. The girls get along with the cocktails list moving upwards one cocktail at a time. Lots of laughters and gossips have a hint that the cocktails were yumm and they were doing their job. Somehow we felt that the tall, bare brick wall needed a painting. Perhaps the upbeat ,usic also felt slightly out of place.
The food was fantastic. As you come to expect from these fine dining places, each meal has several components, complimenting each other with flavours and textures. Charred pumpkin, battered cauliflower, duck breast, fillet steak and the sweet course of sorbet were all high quality. Our friends felt that sous vide meat loses its texture comapred to cooking steak on a pan, hence they weren't a huge fan. The vegetarian guest felt her jackfruit lacked some flavours.
Overall, a fantastic first experience and we all agreed we will be back for more.
Very good 5 course meal. Venison was my favourite. The celeriac was a nice surprise and the fish (monk fish I think) was cooked perfectly. Would be nice to have a larger selection of wines. Service was great.
A dinner for the books! Amazingly good food that should be Michelin starred! One of the dishes was lamb neck which had been sous vide that was so sweet and tender. The pate was fluffy! Orange wine was a great combo. All in all a very memorable meal served in a beautifully sleek setting run by a husband/wife team with warmth and service at their heart. Will repeat whenever possible.
Amazing experience as a group of 4 - great service and food was incredible. Loved that we all had the same food to rave about together! Unique experience in Dunedin. Menu changes pretty frequently - have been twice now and I'll definitely be back.
Food so good you'll enjoy burping later in the evening. Balanced dishes, full of flavour. Two of the set menu dishes I would of never ordered off a menu, enjoyed every item that came out
I know what you're thinking: Which is better fine dining in Dunedin, Titi or Moiety?
I've eaten the Feed Me menus at both of these restaurants and I think the answer is: it depends what you're looking for.
FOOD
Moiety: I think has higher highs and lower lows. The good courses are absolutely banging, but there was one course I thought was pretty meh, and another which I didn't really like.
Titi: No one particular course hits as hard as Moiety, but the consistency of quality across the courses is higher. Everything was good, a couple courses were great and nothing was average or bad.
SERVICE
Moiety: It's professional and a bit more formal. I don't mean that in a negative way.
Titi: Seemed a little more relaxed, the staff smiled and joked a little more while still being professional.
Food came out timely at both places.
AMBIENCE
Moiety: It has an urban industrial architecture vibe, balancing on a line between austere and chic. Clean lines, simple base colours. It has a distinct personality.
Titi: By comparison, the interior feels very generic. You've seen this template in dozens of other restaurants before. On the other hand, you can see the waves crashing on St. Clair beach while eating incredible food.
Moiety had better music.
PRICE
Moiety is $99, Titi is $95. If you're looking at dining at one of these places, I'm sure you don't care about $4.
I really don't think you can go wrong eating at either establishment, and will enjoy your experience whichever place you decide to go. If you held a gun to my head: Titi.
Had a great dinner! 5 courses menu! One of the rare fancy cuisine restaurant in Dunedin! My hubby and I are french and we have difficulties finding restaurant who served fancy cuisine in Dunedin. So we are quite happy to have found Moiety!
Absolutely fabulous, food was 11 out of 10 and I was lucky enough to watch them preparing meals. Manager waitress and chefs were very helpful and taught me about what was being made . Awesome experience. Highly recommend
A fabulous dining experience! Wait staff so professional yet pleasant and welcoming. Food outstanding.
Great service and reasonably priced degustation menu. Interesting and distinct fusion flavours. Overall a great addition for Dunedin foodies.
Set menu, fresh ingredients and good combination of flavours. The steak was cooked perfectly and very tender.
Five courses of fine dining, four of the five were spectacular, exquisitely presented and delicious. The fish in the fish course was dry.
Staff very professional and efficient but a bit remote.
My cocktail was ordinary, the wine was perfect.
The setting was lovely.
I had a wonderful birthday dinner at the Moiety. Great service and awesome food. Love all the meals.
