Nice range of burgers, cooked while you wait. Nice to see a vegetarian option and can vouch for it. Really nice fries. Burgers had lovely flavour and was decent value for money.

Went in on Monday for a nice lunch and honestly had such a great time. Best costumer Severus i have had in a long time. Super friendly and a chill positive vibes. Ordered a Chicken burger (The babe) and it was amazing along with some hot chips. Only good things to say! Keep up the great work velvet.
Yummy and huge burgers! I ordered 4 burgers and only finished 2.5 by three people. All of us loved the burgers, especially the babe one. However, the environment wasn’t very nice, the music was loud, the table outside was sticky, so was the sauce bottles. We switched to the inside table, better but
After a week of enjoying different restaurants in Dunedin Velvet burger stood out from a pure quality perspective. Large fresh burgers that were exactly the right thing to satisfy a burger craving. Friendly service. Will go again when I next visit.
2 for 1 burgers on Tuesdays is an amazing deal! Highly recommended. Their skinnies are also great. I prefer their chicken sandwiches but would also recommend a burger. Also, try giving them a call to place an order or order online on Tuesdays to skip the wait at the restaurant.
Went with a friend for dinner. The burgers were made quickly and served hot. Not a large indoor dining area but does have seating outside also. Very popular with the local student population.

Velvet do good, large burgers. Used to come here all the time for the two for one Tuesdays, they were ridiculously good value. The place is small and can get busy quickly though.

One of the best burger places in NZ. Prefer George St to the Octagon store even though it is small and has very little seating. Very student-centric.

The burgers are great, and are consistently high quality with good service. There's often a decent wait to get the food but Velvet never disappoints
