Probably the best Turkish place in Dunedin. Prices are very fair for what you get! (I'm Indian so it matters to me). The service is quite direct, as he asked if we didn't like the food (some of us are just slow eaters hahaha) - it was like my dad serving me food. I personally found it very comforting, familiar, and funny.

Dined here for the first time. What a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Food choice is extensive and very moderately priced. The meal was well presented and the taste and flavour was amazing. Service was discreet but very well managed . Will definitely be returning. Good selection if wines at very reasonable prices

On my travels I like to try Turkish restaurants so I went to Sila. It is a big place nicely decorated. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Food was great and the serving was big, probably too big but I ate it all. My chicken grilled salad was great and nicely seasoned and spicy. The table could be cleaned a bit better and entry door does not close fully on its own so cold southerly comes in quickly. Apart from that, it is all good.

Love the atmosphere of this place, the interior design is gorgeous and feels very cosy & intimate. Great for both group gatherings (bookings recommended) and for a more intimate romantic meal for a couple. The food itself is amazing, by far my preferred Turkish place in Dunedin. And although it's not cheap, I think it's reasonably priced for what they offer. The staff are friendly and helpful without being pushy, and are very aware & helpful when it comes to dietary restrictions & allergies - and they'll readily double check with the chef if need be.

Always a delicious, generous meal. Service was a bit slow on this occasion due to staff illness, but the food was yummy. A bit of a cold draft made one of our party a bit colder than she'd have liked. Love the variety of dishes, and the flavours are always lovely. Have been here before, and will definitely be back.

Very distinct flavor. Huge plate reasonable price. Huge place. Has gluten free and dairy free choices. Pictures are chicken shish, walnut dip and some meze. For those who rated them low because of beer and wine... it’s a Turkish restaurant... [eyes rolling]

Their meal was great and good value for the price. Every meal was good volume. We had some little sweets, Turkish Delight , and they are really nice , even I don’t like Turkish delight from general store. Beautiful interiors, spacious and very clean restaurant.

What a great find this week! Beautiful tasty food, wonderfully presented and reasonably priced, Sila is a great option if you fancy Turkish food. Although the wine list is limited, the price is outstanding. Can thoroughly recommend Sila.

Love the meze platter. It's a bit expensive to go there now, so we don't come as often as we would like.

My husband and I thought we’d try Sila one Saturday night during our visit to Dunedin. We ordered the share platter for two, plus breads and dips and a cheesy garlic Turkish bread, along with a couple of beers. The meal was delicious. Our particular favourites were hummus and babaganoush that came with the warm breads. The Adana shish was very good, too.
