The family LOVED their experience here! The kids chose bento boxes and really appreciated the selection and amount of food. My husband shared his katsu chicken which was a hit also! Outstanding food & would return in a heartbeat if we lived in Dunedin!

We love this place. Food is consistently good, beautifully presented, and really fresh. Lovely soothing jazz music creates a relaxed vibe - a haven in the city.

Ohhh yummo we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. We shared a plate of various sushi bites, followed by a salmon bento, and a salmon salad... with complimentary miso soup. Everything was delicious, friendly staff, and reasonable prices... Awesomeness!!! Arigato

Happy tummy always. Never fail to satisfy my cravings. Wide and good selection of sushi. There is a ‘meal of the day’ that is on special price which is pretty good.

This is second time I been here. The food taste nice and the price is affordable as well. You can have a try if you're there. The bento was worth with its price

A decent sushi bar with a good variety to choose from. The area is perfect for a quick snack, meal or even for a takeaway. Though it's my first time having a meal here, my friends have all said the quality is good and after having some, I'd say the same. They also are keen to innovate as they apparently come up with new sushi varieties from time to time.

Definitely the best sushi place in Dunedin! I've tried most of them and Hikari beats them all. The sushi is in glass cabinets so you can pick and choose whichever ones you like. It's all freshly prepared and doesn't have that cold, "gluggy" rice feel of the cheaper places (e.g. Savoury Japan). The price:quality ratio is excellent as well. You can get five or six pieces, which is very, very filling for about $8.50. There is also a great variety of sushi, as well as vegetarian options. I recommend the apple salmon!
