Great little place when they are not closed between Christmas and the 1st few weeks of January when Dunedin travellers really need them to be open. The staff is friendly, the service is great and the decor sets a lovely atmosphere.

Really enjoy this place ! Come often with the takeaway option for lunch. Our first choice for Sushi in Dunedin. Always fresh and well presented. Cant fault the speedy service either as this place can be busy. Pricing reasonable for what you get. Go most weeks and never disappointed.

Best Japanese restaurant in NZ. Beautiful sushi, with many options. Very friendly staff, open for lunch and dinner. Usually go here every few weeks and have yet to have a bad experience. Love the atmosphere and menu choices allow you to try many options on subsequent visits. Also has one of the best vegetarian selections of meals available. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Incredibly fast service. The chicken katsu was ok but not outstanding; too much rice (well, lots of rice, maybe call it a generous serving) and not enough garnish. Good venue and location.

Excellent sushi at a reasonable price. My date and I were incredibly hungy after a long road trip so we ordered the 40 piece party platter (and finished it!!)

Update: The Jitsu Exchange now serves RAMEN! One of Dunedin's best sushi chefs works this kitchen at lunch time. I highly recommend the gunkan (salmon or tuna) from the sushi menu.

Good value. Love the chicken katsu curry. Nicer spot, quieter than the busy centre town venue
