Beautiful coffee and staff is really friendly. Good food. Love their menu using bar code. Good generous food portion. Only downside the space down level is small, when you have groups of ppl that so noisy. The sound so echo. Otherwise, very beautiful place to catch up with friends.

High value experience. The interior design is sleek, inviting and spacious. Great for groups or an intimate setting for two. Their dinner menu is meticulous by design and encompasses fusion-styled dishes from asian, european, and middle-eastern origins - taking you on an insightful flavour tour. Excellent service and team onboard. Approachable, knowledgeable and personable. 9.5/10.

I ordered a Bacon eggs benedict. The greens were dead as, probably didnt receive their morning oder on time. And the Hollandaise sauce was bland. The dish was served at room temperature and half way it was cold. The staff is friendly and helpful. Loved the atmosphere. Cabinet food and a good variety of drinks available.

We booked catalyst for our engagement party. They were so easy to book, they went out their way to accommodate dietary requirements for our guests, which was greatly appreciated. The staff that evening were kind, helpful and made the evening very enjoyable. It’s a really nice venue with great vibes, would recommend to anyone planning an engagement party.

Dinner last night was crazy! Venison, broccolini and potatoes were presented beautifully, the ambiance is great, service was great. Usually come here for breakfast or coffee because my office is nearby but will definitely be back for dinner. Also benefits from having Moon’s next door for a quick pre-dinner beer.

Best coffee in Dunedin. Bloke in the red cap with tattoos super friendly and positive, need more people like that. Ordered the Cooked Breakfast and wife ordered Salmon Bowl, both really good.

Though breakfast at this joint is an absolute certainty dinner is new. This visit to Dunedin we booked both and neither disappointed. Tomahawk steak for two with ample sides was delicious. Breakfast winner was Persian porridge though the eggs were perfection too. Great staff and calm ambience. Loved the playlist too. Quiet very relaxed vibe.

This is my go to cafe for breakfast when in Dunedin. Outstanding food, I wish I could spend a week down there working my way through the menu. Great cabinet food, lovely ambience and friendly staff. This really is worth a visit. A cafe who lets its food do the talking!

Kia ora koutou, it is really a nice place, the music was a bit too loud inside but we can sit out in the terrace! The plates are actually quite big! We thought it was small portions but they are quite generous :) I recommend the cold coffee as well! Thanks

Catalyst is my #1 go to place to eat in Dunedin. Having lived here my whole life, I've always battled with what Cafe's to recommend to friends when they are down to visit as nothing is very stand out. Catalyst provides a stand out service, and an extraordinary menu that caters to people of all variety. They are very great with any food allergies or dietary requirements. I love to park up here to do my work emails as the cafe provides a calming yet vibrant atmosphere where I feel inspired to stay and do my work. Their choices in suppliers is impressive as I see they use local sources for all of their food. Most impressive, is their coffee beans from Kokako, which are my all time favourite. Catalyst is the only place I know in Dunedin that does my beloved Matcha latte, as an Auckland resident myself - I couldn't believe it when I saw this on the menu here. I have also seen Catalyst's social media promoting beach cleans and other corporate social responsible activities which is really impressive. 10/10 would recommend. ps: their granola is the best in this city (pic attached)

A group of us did bottomless Brunch on Sat 28th May 2022. Super friendly staff, and happy to go the extra mile. great service all round. I had the Benedict on Greens, as something different to try eggs cooked to perfection veges were a nice change to the traditional eggs bene. 10/10 will definitely be going back again
