This was a top quality dinner in the heart of Dunedin. We booked via a phone call the night before, and the team were very flexible. There was a young waiter who explained the menu beautifully and eloquently and rightly deserves an individual mention in this post. All were attentive and service was fast. We started with the soy chicken which we shared, tender and flavoursome. Followed by the Mount Cook salmon and the scotch beef fillet, both were divine. The flavours matched well and the food was warm and tasty. The wines on offer were great, with a solid alcohol free selection. We finished with the chef’s trio of desserts, this was a lovely mixture of raspberry slice, chocolate mousse and an amazing chocolate salted caramel brownie. Cannot recommend this eatery enough!
Beautifully fitted out. Reminiscence of an old world glamorous cocktail bar. Dishes are lovely but could do with a little tweaking to level up. Perhaps a little bit more sauce or seasoning or meat could be browned more. Overly, a lovely experience and would not hesitate to go again.
We came here for dinner for our wedding anniversary. Klaudia served us most of the night and was an excellent waitress - knowledgeable and very friendly. We were offered a complementary beverage for our occasion, which we were pleasantly surprised with.
The scotch fillet was cooked to perfection, it was melt in the mouth tender.
We tried some of the recommended cocktails for dessert and they were well made and delicious.
Breakfast in the morning was good too.

Had a wonderful dinner at the Press Club! The mains were executed beautifully and the flavours were superb (lamb dish and beef burger). Didn’t need extra sauces and condiments to pair with the food, which was great. Clean and tasty.
The only reason I gave 4/5 is because I wasn’t informed that there will be a $20 charge for bringing a cake… I could have tried another appetiser or dessert 😋 and save the cake for later at home.
I visited with my husband about 2 weeks ago, and it was valuable. The high tea was so nice and the staff was so kind to us. Thank you 😊

Had a good meal here for Valentine’s, the cheese roll was excellent, and I enjoyed the contrast between the mustard and cucumber. Then I had the lamb which was so sweet and tender but was unfortunately under a shallow pond of bland baby food looking puree. Needed salt at least! My husband had the pork belly and encountered at least a few dry bites. But the dessert on the other hand was amazing. Perfect pairing between the matcha and lime ice cream. We really enjoyed the matcha cream log. The service was excellent except for then waitress accused us of not paying when in fact we couldn’t see the eftpost machine cause she was standing in the way.
Brilliant service and the cocktails were to die for - loved the French Quarter, the Fable cocktail, the margaritas. Attentive and charming staff doing a great job ~in these trying times~ and I'm sure in any. 10/5 stars. Just a beautiful bar.

The service is absolutely fantastic, the staff made everything on the menu sound amazing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. We dined for dinner and twice for breakfast and where impressed on all occasions. Will definitely be back to enjoy the experience again.
Treated to high tea. Great service by Josh who explained what to expect and to take our time enjoying the experience. We upgraded with a glass of prosecco to start.
Every mouthful was flavoursome, we couldn't finish it all so took the rest home. We are planning another trip early next year.
Wow. Blown away. Freaking good for being it it’s southern location, I would fly there for a meal.
