Why are you not giving out stamped cards for people to use later when it goes down to Level 2 or 1???..I have probably ordered more than 12 drinks now so far but when asked for my stamped card they said not on Level 3
Recently hooked onto their bubble tea. My favourite would be the fresh taro milk green. Always prompt service and gets the order right. Taste is always up to standard and consistent. Glad they were operating under level 3!
Have been coming back for their winter melon milk tea and takoyaki. And today, I've tried their mocha slushy with coffee jelly and it's just a perfect match with their takoyaki. Happy tummy, happy me! Good ambience, good music and good customer service! Clean toilet as well. Keep up the good job! 😀
Hulucat is a classic and had been around for so long before all the big chains started popping up! I usually get the taro milk tea here! Boba has nice texture and chewy, although the drinks are made from powder it still tastes good!
Love the drinks here. Always a bit of wait as it's a popular spot I guess. Havent been to the other locations apart from the Botany one. I would only suggest to make the space a little bigger as it tends to get full fast.
Love coming here! Always fast service and such large portions! They're usually busy whenever we come here which is a good sign! I ordered the beef curry and kiwi green tea. The beef curry was so delicious! Its a sweet little spot for the locals. I come here at least once a week lol
Reduced their quantity of Bubbles in the tea. Earlier it used to be more bubble in less price but now the price is higher and the bubbles are even lesser than before.
Always come here when I want a nice refreshing drink.

This is in my opinion, the best Hulucat outlet. I've been a regular here for the past 3 years. The drinks are consistently good. Service is usually fast as well and we sometimes like to get their popcorn chicken to snack on.
I've tried many different drinks and personally love the coffee jelly which goes well with milk tea (I like their pu er milk tea, normal milk tea, earl grey milk tea and oat meal milk tea). I also recommend the winter melon series. For green/black tea, I like them with either lychee, red date or oolong.

I’ve been having Hulu cat for at least 12 years since high school.
Its always been the cure for all my hear breaks.
Taro is the best.
Definitely our go to spot for drinks, gone through many loyalty cards since finding out this was close to home. Always reccomend hulucat slushies and the bubble tea are always nice when your craving some pearls. Conveniently opened late and always had great service, although prepare for it to be busy as its popular with the locals.

My friend and i were looking for a bubble tea place while in botney and he googled what was the nearest buble tea place and hulucat came up. Im so glad we found a buble tea place so close to home. Alot of different teas to choose from, they also do different slushy flavours. A good place to catch up/hang out with friends. Theres also a table outside if you wanna have a smoke. We been coming here ever since.
The takoyaki is amazing and love the environment here :-) drinks were good too and the small black ball stuff were squishy and nice LOL ❤😂😂

The go-to-place for bubble tea at Flatbush. Offers a wide variety range of flavours and also provides food to sell. Overall great friendly atmosphere, drinks are delicious, customer service was average, not to mention “free” wi-fi while u wait for ur drinks!!
Edit: came back here, bought a warm sea salt foamed/topped matcha drink at 25% sugar and a cold 50% sugar, matcha with big pearls and no ice. The warm matcha had more flavour sadly but it was still good.
Stopped by before picking my dad up from the airport. I was going to get some food as well but they already closed the kitchen. I was there around 2230 at night, before closing time at 2300.
I was excited to try the food but was happy enough with the milk tea. Got the taro one with the pearls and it was really nice. Good flavour and the pearls had nice chewiness. Definitely a nice pre-airport stop for the future
Came by at a later date for the food and it was ok.Tried the takoyaki and the mince pork with noodles. I'd stick to the milk tea here.

My wife had the original milk tea with pearls and lychee jellies, while I tried out their lychee green tea with macha pudding and black pearls.
The drinks did not disappoint, though nothing was extraordinary about them. I was slightly dismayed that the aloe jelly was not available.
Since this is the beverage shop closest from home, I feel that we are bound to keep coming back here if summer remains this muggy!

The cafe is tidy with lots of seating. Service is very fast and they give you a beeper so you don't have to stand around and wait for your beverage.
They didn't have all the options available as they were sold out late at night.
I stopped by here since I was craving some milk tea and the other milk tea places near me were almost the same price but smaller servings. I read some reviews about the bad service but it was fine to me. When I got there, there was an asian lady who was taking so long to order but oh well. Then when I ordered they got one of my order wrong. I ordered the peach green tea but they gave me passion fruit. I only found out when my partner mentioned it to me. Hopefully when I go back they wont make the same mistake.
The best milk tea cafe in Auckland .. my favourite is Egg milk tea with pearls .. very yummy & only available at Hulu Cat .. the service was just ok nothing fancy.
The store gived me deep impression. I just moved here and my friend took me to have a meal. I ordered Wintermelon milk tea with pearls，the staff recommended half sugar for me. It was a great choice. We ordered Chicken kastu，Spicy chicken and Taro milk tea with pears which are also really nice. This is a wonderful place and I will come back again. The staff are helpful and decors are modern. Easily deserving of five stars！
We had Katsu Don, Mango milk tea, chocolate milk tea with coffee jelly and rose tea with lychee jelly, what a great combination, Decor is very modern and definitely will be back, besides is widely decorated with kittens on the walls

Love the environment n we had a great time. Food was awesome but the only down side was they served the dessert while we were still having our meal and had to asked them to put our ice cream back to the freezer n put our waffle aside.
After an awesome experience at the Anzac Steet branch in City, i dropped by the East Tamaki branch whilst out East.
Pretty awesome lay out, very chillaxing and the decor + music reinforces a fun vibe.
We ordered a Creamy Strawberry Slushy and an earl grey with pearls, our orders did take awhile though.
Impressive bubble teas and cool vibe, if I lived out here this would probably be a hot spot for me.

A great place for a drink and snack. We came here for dinner and there wasn't much people. The drink was good, you can order the sweetness that you prefer. We ordered the beef tendon noodle, it was slight spicy and great for winter night. The taiwanese pork rice was nice but other similar places comes with more side dishes. I wouldnt mind going back and trying the other dishes.
I come here for the fantastic Japanese green milk tea with pearls nearly every week (which you should order with no sugar, healthier and still tastes just as good) - and they also do meals! They're cheap and delicious, and great for a quick bite with friends (we usually go before a game of badminton). The last time I went, I got a curry, which was almost as good as the ones that I have had overseas in China and Taiwan, and it came with a miso soup and salad.
The store is located in a pretty sketchy part of East Tamaki, in a semi-commerical/industrial area, but all the tenancies around the store are packed with great Japanese/Korean/Chinese restaurants - so worth a look around the area if you're visiting out this way.
Went there last night after gym,there milk tea is good heaps of varietys more than most places ive been too heaps of different topping which other shop dont have the food is good too but abit pricy even tho it in east tamaki.this place is way better than momotea but it sit in the corner which not many people will know about.definately coming back every week

I always crave for a mango shake... I tried their mango slushy added with big black pearl... It is so affordable and so delicious... I ordered cheesy fries as well and it taste like cheesy and spicy at the same time...
Fantastic range of bubble tea. The largest that I have seen in any restaurant by far. In fact the range of drinks outnumber the range of food they serve. I found the food to be decent enough. There are other places that serves better food but I found the ambience and the range of drinks the best part about this place. It's ideal to catch up with friends and family here. Ample free parking right Infront and despite being one of the only stores around here that opens until late, it still draws a full house on Friday evenings. I hope to see more of these sorts of places pop up around here. 👍🏼👍🏼

I had a taro milk tea with taro pudding and mini pearls, cold with only 1/4 sugar. So so so amazingly creamy and not too sweet. The apple green tea w no sugar was quite refreshing but not quite as good as the taro one!
Range of food quite limited compared to other branches (didn't see the toast?!?) But we tried the popcorn chicken and beef curry on rice. Priced well though!! Food 3.5/5.

Love the ambiance in the place. It's a good hang out spot on a Friday night. But the lady at the counter was a little bit rude I think she didn't know how to speak English so when I tried to order she just stared at me, looked at the guy next to her then left. But I brush all of the off because everyone else was nice. And, when we were waiting for our order one of the staff came up to us to ask what we were waiting for so he could follow up in our order for us. Plus the other time I visited the staff were really nice and friendly. AND, their food portions are sooo worth the $$$ and they're super yummy too!! The pearls in my milk tea seamed to be made fresh they were still hot and it was a nice contrast to my cold drink. The pearls were soft and tasty. So Hulu cat was definitely value for money! Will definitely come back again.
Really stylish cafe decor. The milk teas are as nice as all the other Hulucat stores and the waffles were great as always, though it took way too long (40 ish mins), but they had a large food order previous to mine and I wasn't in a rush anyway. Always recommend hulucat for the wide range in drinks and toppings. This store also does all kinds of food too
First time coming to new joint. Taiwanese style 小吃。we had pro noodle and spicy chicken rice. Surprising that the food is good. Personally I love the flavor and the freshness of the food. The bubble tea is average. We had taro and passion fruit yogurt. Don't feel the customer service is good, as a newly opened Restaurant, might be a good idea to have some interaction. Overall the place is recommended.
Auckland is getting a lot of franchises opening up but they're mainly in the city, so I'm super happy there's now a milk tea place that's really close to home! Even though I prefer drinks from Momo Tea, I can't deny the convenience of location of Hulu Cat, hence I'm there every week with my boyfriend now, and their interior is really nice, clean and modern which makes it a great place to hang out.
They do food here too though I haven't tried anything apart from the popcorn chicken which I really recommend. This one has no fat/ cartilage bits, it's lean meat only and is fried crispy without being greasy.
I have found that their milk teas are SUPER sweet, and even though I ask for zero or 1/4 sweetness, it tastes like the same sugar content as normal milk tea places... Don't go for full sugar because it's honestly double or triple the sweetness level to your average. We were unable to handle more than a few sips of the Green Tea crusty at normal sweetness content.

The Hulu Cat in the city has long been a favourite place for me to visit over high school and university.
They know how to make good beverages and snacks! So I was very happy they newly opened Hulu Cat here in East Tamaki! They offer dishes along with snacks and beverages!
The decor is modern and chic, very clean eatery and the bathrooms are very clean! It's a small restaurant however
We ordered Takoyaki to share and OMG it's so yum! Hot on the plate and very generous serving of fish flakes and sauce (teriyaki and mayo)! 😍 so good! Highly recommend the Takoyaki!
The drinks ordered where a rockmelon yoghurt with honey aloe jelly, and the other was a kiwi fruit yoghurt with pineapple jelly. The drinks where okay, there's an extensive drinks menu so I'll be very happy to explore the rest of the drinks menu 😁
Highly recommend if you're after a good eatery! I'll definitely be back to sample the whole menu 😁 service is quick too so that is an added bonus!

Hi,
I bought 2 Mocha Slushy + coffee jelly NZ9.00 and the other one with pearl NZ8.80 today and told cashier to put only 25% sugar to both orders. I even repeated it before I sat down by the table near the toilet. It's a long wait and when I picked it up at the counter, we were surprised that it's very sweet and we even tried tasting each other's slushy. The one with pearl was sweet but bearable and mine with the jelly was very sweet that made me coughed. I told the cashier and he said he will put ice on it. I gave him back the slushy and said he will changed it. It's again a long wait due to busy hour and the male staff handed it to me and I really appreciated their kind understanding. We drove home but I can't wait to sip my yummy slushy, however I can't grasp or see any coffee jelly on it anymore. I rang the shop and the male staff asked apology. I am relieved because they accepted the mistakes they made for the second time 😞 . I wasn't happy and not satisfied that my favourite coffee jelly wasn't in my slushy. I hope they will give me my coffee jelly on my next visit. Anyway they were all superb and I am happy to go back there again.

Very quick and efficient. As soon as I sat down to wait for my order, it was ready. Bit of an exaggeration there but they were quick, and my Taro milk tea with taro balls tasted really good although I'll probably get it without any balls cus the balls were kinda bland but the milk tea itself was amazing.
Best milk tea I've had to date. Good small indoor area for hangout. Ordered strawberry, taro and original milk tea 👌 only downer was the mini pearls were stuck together so was quite hard to drink. Overall tasted real good
Lots of options for drinks, and they have delicious snacks, too. Cheaper than the bubble tea nearby but could be a bit too sweet despite changing the sugar percentage. Nice that there's plenty of seating and toilets in the café too hehe.

Ever since returning from a holiday to Taiwan, I have craved for authentic Taiwanese milk tea and food in Auckland. Amongst the different milk tea places I've been to in Auckland, Hulucat's offerings are the closest to authentic Taiwanese fare I could find. I like that you can adjust the sweetness and ice levels for drinks the way it is offered in Taiwan. The fresh taro milk green tea is my absolute favourite there. The food is delicious, and my husband absolutely loves the braised pork on rice, as it's closest to what he had enjoyed in Taiwan. However, not everything on the menu is always available, which is why I've given this a 4 star rating. Some staff are friendlier than others, and I do wonder if it's a language barrier for the ones who seem less friendly. I've never had bad service there, though I wish that the staff would smile a bit more.
The 5 stars is purely for their customer service- I dropped my drink which busted the cup open & so I wanted to pay for another one but the girls offered to give me a brand new one & even apologised! So lovely & nice 🫰🏽thank you beauties who worked around 7pm 23/05 xx
