Been once so far. Super fan of both Korean and Japanese cuisine so I loved the menu! It had great options for the whole family - healthy poke bowls, indulgent donuts, sashimi, noodles, and more. They also had a lot of drink variety, including coffee - which is my jam. Definitely going back to try more options.

Usually I follow suggestions given by customers and as I was near 9 Bows I decided to give it a go. What a great choice! By the decorations, I am supposing that this is more Korean than Japanese, because of the wonderful menu and the internal sitting design. Order and paid in advance from the counter and waited roughly 15min. Loved the garlic Korean fried chicken set, with some pickles, salad and fries. Lots of parking when I arrived at 11.30. Quite interesting books to read while waiting. Will come back again hopefully soon. Thanks for the great service!

Cool little food joint hidden amongst the industrial East Tamaki area. My partner & I ate in for dinner. Food we tried included… (Gyu Beef) added fried egg, Slaw & melted cheese 10/10. (Corn Cheese) Sweet mayo cheesy oniony flavour 10/10 (Curry Cheese pie) Crunchy Panko outside with cheesy mozzarella + curry sauce inside 10/10 (Choco Pie) Same as above except chocolate filling 10/10 (Spicy Rice Cake) little inconsistent some nice & chewy then some a bit hard 6/10 (Prawn Dumplings) Nice sauce but pretty standard 6/10 (8 Piece Wings 2 Flavours) Spicy + Honey Butter. Batter was a little heavy. Quite pricey $18 5/10 (Original Milk tea) 6/10 Unfortunately they forgot to give us our complimentary Friday waffle fries but no biggie lol We definitely enjoyed this Food Spot & obviously enjoyed some things more than others but everybody has different taste buds & this is just our experience. We would recommend to others for sure though. Overall Rating 7.5/10

Discovered from Tiktok (where i’m finding most of my food rec’s these days) and it was 10/10 👏🏼 we got the honey butter chicken and garlic soy and they were both divine. can’t wait to try the spicy next time! The waffles fries were also lovely as well as the prawn dumplings. I will be back!

Someone posted on tiktok and I've always wanted to try it but on the weekend and they're not open so had a day off and decided to come for an early dinner and was not disappointed! Ordered too much had bowl of fried chicken over rice with cheese sauce, ramen, giyu beef stir fry, fried prawn dumplings, spicy Korean fried chicken boneless and some fries. One of my faves in South Auckland! 🥰😊

A nice little hidden gem in the industrial area. This place offers a wide range of Japanese and Korean food. From teriyaki chicken to Korean fried chicken and healthier options such as poke bowls. Portion is fairly generous, great value for money. Taste is great, though the Korean fried chicken can get quite spicy - so be careful when you’re ordering!

We tried several chicken dishes, spicey honey butter and soya. All very good. Our sides were loaded fries, love the kimchi touch, rice cakes extra cheese and vege dumplings, again very good. Next time I'll try the udon.

Amazing lunch today. I was around the area doing client meetings and wanted to find a place for lunch. I googled a place close by and found this gem. I had the Salmon Poke Bowl for lunch. OMG it was delicious and the ingredients were fresh and tasty! I highly recommend to check out this place for your next lunch or dinner option. Met the owner Davis while having my lunch. Such a friendly and humble person.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE FOOD. Presentation 100% Taste 100% Temperature 100% All the food is cook to order, a bit of a wait is so worth it to be able to taste their warm , tender and perfectly balanced flavour of food. Highly recommend!!!

Food was prepared quickly and was delicious!! Beware: this place fills up very quickly after 12 so it’s recommended to get there bang on opening time. There’s a good deal of eating space and outdoor areas in the summer. Will enjoy coming here again

It’s a nice hidden restaurant between all the warehouse in East Tamaki. staff were nice and friendly and the food was delish with different variety to choose from. The korean fried chicken has good flavours but the breading is a bit thick.

Found this place through a Google search. Realised when I got there that it's technically two restaurants in one. We ordered from both menus and were quite impressed with both the quality and the quantity of food. I really appreciated the fact that the milk and fruit teas came in glasses rather than plastic cups. Will definitely come back here in the future!

I had the Korean chicken on rice. It was OK decent size though just wish the chicken was a bit more fresh or tender. Haven't tried anything else so can't be to harsh but can say I'll go back to try other dishes. Oh my mate had the fish n Chips we both thought it was a bit too small for $22.

9 Bowls is physically located in the same building as Han's Kitchen. They also share the same dining area but have different operating times. Most of the items on the menu were under $20. There are menus for both at the front. I went with the Korean option but my dad went for the chicken katsu bento and we were able to order at the same time. The food was delivered to the table when it was ready. For each item, you had options of having it on rice, with udon or as a bento box. I also ordered the taro milk tea and that was really good. The taro flavour was really nice. They didn't have pearls but had jelly which had a nice chew to it. The bento was loaded with the chicken katsu. The katsu was really crispy as it was coated with cornflakes. The rice portion was quite decent as were the other side items. Although the bento was about twice the price, it looked like there were twice the portions. It was a really nice place to grab some food even though it is a bit out of the way. I really liked the option of being able to get both Japanese and Korean food at the same time but their opening times differ so it might only be available during the weekend.

Food is delicious and portions are large!! It is the only place making gluten-free katsu chicken and it is amazing!

Ordered for lunch the deliciously spicy Korean Fried Chicken with rice & salad - there was so much packed into the bowl and was exceptional value for money. The eatery was kept clean and tidy throughout the busy time we were there. Lovely staff and the young man behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the menu.
