Firstly the service is always great, the staff are why I come back. I always feel welcome. But it's the people that make a pub a great pub so compliments must also go out to this awesome little community. The food is always good pub grub as it should be. It would be nice to see a couple more craft beers on offer as it fits the 'local' brief. Plenty of local brews in Wellington so let's support them aye? Parrotdog clippedwing is a great one for the drivers.
Really enjoyed the nice menu and Thursday steak night. Great steak and pizza and on the right night (wed, thurs) really affordable too. Become a bit of a regular haunt for our band of mates.
We were in Eastbourne and tried Brew'd for dinner - it was our first visit.
There are some nice options on the menu. They have a few craft beers on tap or in the bottle. Panhead APA, Brewdog Punk IPA, Boundary Road, Tuatara. My partner liked the selection of wines on offer and thoroughly enjoyed the Beach House Riesling she ordered.
We ordered the Riesling, a pint of Brewdog, the Fish and Chips and the Chook burger. Each main came with fries.
The barman/waiter, was really friendly and helpful. Our orders came out in good time.
Fish and chips:
Chips, two pieces of battered fish, salad and homemade tartar sauce. Chips were nice, the fish was a fishy tasting fish, but it was ok. The salad was a little salty and flat. The tartar was nice but could have been chucky not just a sauce. Overall though a nice dish.
Chook burger:
This was really nice, soft bun, and not too much bun - the bread didn't take over. Moist piece of chicken, good amount of bacon, tasty cheese - chicken wasn't crumbed as stated, but I preferred it without. The aioli was salty but it was really tasty. We both really enjoyed this burger.
Tip: We used the entertainment book which gave us a free main. You can use the voucher for anything except the platters. Also, take the actual voucher from the book, they are not on the card.
All up, with our discount, we paid: $39.90
There's a nice ambiance to the pub. There is seating out the front by the road getting plenty of sun. The bar area is decorated in an eclectic hipster-esque style - stressed wood, hanging lights, stain glass windows, chalk style place names. It's a bit darker on the inside. The outside area at the back has mix-and-match furniture, benches a mural on the wall. Its covered but gets plenty of light. - Smokers can smoke in the back area.
So there is an option for everyone depending what you like.
We enjoyed the overall experience of dining at Brew’d.
I reserved a table for 10 for my birthday on the 19th March. We got there and was shown to our table, where it was all set up, including plenty of water and glasses.
We had a selection of starters, I shared some garlic bread, we assumed it was for 1 person but there was enough to share, and it was lovely, not bad for $8.50
We all ordered a selection of mains, I had the salmon salad, but I asked for the salmon to be cooked as it comes uncooked. It was very tasty and filling and only $21.
My husband and son had the sirloin steak and they both enjoyed it, in fact my whole family enjoyed their meals, my sister-in-laws fish and chips looked good (might try that next time).
We ordered a few desserts, I tried my husbands passion fruit cheesecake and it was yummy, but I was too full lol.
The staff were very attentive and friendly and the meals didn't seem to take long. What a great night out for my birthday, we will definitely be back again. Thankyou Brew'd.
Popped in for lunch on Saturday with my sister for a light lunch - the service was great and felt very taken care of by the lovely lady behind the bar :)
Happy to serve the bacon which came with the pancake stack on another plate (she's vegetarian, but I love bacon so had that for myself ;)). Also had the chicken wings and calamari - both very delish - which went perfectly with a couple of Brew Dog Punk IPA's on tap.
Enjoyed the courtyard with the sun beaming down and had an enjoyable time. We don't come out to Eastbourne all that often, but will make every effort to come back!
Best pub I've ever been in. Best food I've ever had especially the dumplings. Awesome place for a drink and a meal. First place I've ever felt compelled to write a review
Epic feed and great range of beers on tap! Didn't have a booking but bar staff were kept to accommodate us on a busy Saturday night with large groups of people having booked tables. Thanks guys! 😊🍻
Cool little hideaway nestled in Eastbourne, with a variety of food and drink options (including shared plates - highly recommended), attentive staff, and a range of seating options. Warm and friendly, would gladly return!
Such a nice spot! Our server was super lovely, knew all the tap beers off the top of her head.
The mussels and fries hit the spot perfectly, so tasty! Gin cocktail 5/5. Definitely recommend eating here!

Such yummy food! Ordered 4 dishes from the sharing menu for the table of 5 and it filled us up for lunch. It was great. Good friendly service too. Would go again. The design of the place is really nice and not intrusive on the eye yet still things to look at when looking around the place that will catch your eye.
Good atmosphere, relaxed and social looks like a few regular locals. Plenty of parking on the street out the front. Selection of food for most appetites. Not to congested inside plenty of seating up front or out the back. Staff are pleasant and welling to help answer any questions on menu items. Initially went there as part of Wellington On A Plate that was positive so I'm a repeat customer.
Very well run local pub who look after everyone who visits. Food range is great and staff are friendly and attentive. A good range of craft beers on tap that are changed regularly as well as plenty of bottled choices to suit all tastes. Highly recommended.
Strongly local Eastbourne hotel supporting local suppliers. Good selection of craft and imported beers plus excellent house wine choices. Not an extensive menu but the meat pies were full and tasty and those that had the fish were also very pleased. Ideally go early and score an inside table on cold nights.
Love this place!
They have an attention to customers food requirement that's not seen in most restaurants.
One of the best meals out in a long time.
Small menu - yet still spoilt for choice! 👍
A strong supporter of New Zealand with a selection of 6 local beers on tap. This little bar/restaurant is very popular with the locals and the food certainty is part of the deal. We went for the veggie Tacos and calamari salad and we were both very pleased with the well presented dishes.

This place is now called IP MAN and serves Asian food.
Nice spot. Great range of craft beers for a suburban gastropub. As my companion said when we were there "I think they trade more on the ambience than the food" and I'm inclined to agree given the food we ordered. Ribs were pretty stingy TBH, but the chunky cut chips were excellent. Soft shell tacos were ok. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cosy little place, and I think Eastbourne is the better for having them there. Overall recommended if you're in the area.
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. We got the welly on a plate vegan burger and parsnip fries as well as the recommended beer and a bowl of fries. Was delish and the best bowl of fries I've had.
Actually the food's got better along with the craft beer. I recommend the TRAX fries! Staff are friendly and as you can see from the photo we can sit outside with our dog! Who also enjoys the food!
Been here a few times and it's never let me down. Very good food. The Salmon dish is very tasty. They also do a good cuppa too.
Very child friendly little pub. Great deal on Mondays, kids eat free. Nice area out the back for families with children. Welcoming friendly service and good food selection. Thanks a lot.
