Friendly staff and efficient service. Coffee is ok. Great menu options and prepared food cabinet. Have enjoyed their creamy mushrooms, eggs benedict, The All, smashed avocado, kidneys and bacon and panckes. Always busy.
Didnt even noticed such lovely cafe in Ellerslie. Walked in at 3.30 to have a cup of flat white. It was lovely. Customer service was great especially the elder waiter. Would visit again for sure.
Very friendly staff, especially the elder waiter at the counter. :) I had a nice takeaway coffee. I will definitely visit again to try the lunch menu, as it looked very popular with the locals.
Lovely staff. My GF eggs benedict were nice, portion size a little on the small size...but that just left room for a very nice piece of GF chocolate cake...yum!
We were regulars here until we recently left AKL. We kept coming back for the friendly staff who often go above and beyond, and for the great food and coffee.
My wife and I often shared an Eggs Benedict with a side of mushrooms. If you like a strong smooth coffee ask for a double-shot flat white in a small tulip cup. And I would be remiss if I did not mention their Tan Slice - my wife and her friends refer to it as the best in town.
We have noticed this cafe getting steadily busier over time - word must be getting out!
Walked in here after another cafe looked too busy one Saturday morning. Sun was streaming in the front window and with a special of blueberry waffles, it was too good to pass. Very friendly senior gentleman greeted us with great enthusiasm making us feel very welcomed. The food was outstanding and the complimentary extras were a really nice touch. Highly recommended for Ellerslie brunch.
Visited here this afternoon for a coffee with friends. First time, and was hugely impressed with the food and service. Ginger crunch was actually crunchy (shock!), and my little apple-passionfruit pie with a good old fashioned dollop of cream had a home-made look and was utterly delicious. The staff member (owner perhaps?) was genuinely friendly and welcoming, and had an old-school sense of humour, attentiveness, and service that was both surprising and refreshing for someone like me who - particularly on a Friday - feels cafe-jaded and just over pre-mixed muffins and same-old same-old Auckland cafes. Reinstated my belief that real customer-service still exists. Will definitely return.
We dropped by for a quick coffee & cake, so have only tried the cabinet food. The orange almond cake was so good, we ordered a second one.
Service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing.
I usually meet my sister here for lunch and the food and coffee is always consistently good! Met my niece here for lunch, earlier this week and tomorrow my husband and I will try the breakfasts which, I am sure, are also excellent
I live on Waiheke Island and whenever I'm in the city I make a point of going to this cafe, easily one of the best around. The service is fantastic, the owner (older guy) makes a big fuss of my elderly mother whenever we go and makes us feel really welcome. The food is great, well priced and it's always a good experience. If I could rate them a 10 I would!
Went to have brunch here this morning and it was phenomenal! Service from the older man was just amazing. Took our dog as well and treated him like another customer, went out of his way to make brunch enjoyable! Would highly recommend! A bonus the the eggs bene and poraige tasted like perfection! Thanks for the awesome brunch!
Been to Sierra Ellerslie numerous times and thoroughly enjoy it. I always order the salmon bagel( my favourite) and my husband the full Monty which he says excellent . Staff are always lovely and friendly. And service excellent.The older man who works there most of the time is so lovely and always very chatty with all the customers. Last year when I told him In conversation I was getting married later in the year he gave he a free piece of chocolate cake with whipped cream...we will be back as now one of our favourite local cafés
An all round pleasurable experience from the moment we walk in. Ordered 4 coffees all different came super fast and correct despite them being busy. The menu is extensive and the cakes are to die for. Now our regular coffee stop. Good one Sierra Ellerslie.
I love this place me and my friends go there every weekend and It is such a friendly place lovely food especially the Balsamic mushrooms very lovely don’t really like the location but apart from that wonderful !
Excellent coffee, great food. Nver have a problem with taking the kids, very well catered for. If you are looking for a good cup of coffee (or tea), geat bite to eat then this is the best place in Ellerslie.
Comfortable and relaxing, off the main drag so it's quiet and unpretentious. Great coffee, simple menu of staple cafe food which arrived quickly and well presented plus tasted devine. High chair available but we didn't use it as there was plenty of room for our stroller. Better than the photos show. Would have been 5 stars but they forgot our bowl of fries. Recommended.
Fantastic Sunday breakfast. Beautifully poached eggs bene with nicely toasted Turkish pide. Mushrooms and halloumi were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise tying it all together was smooth and very yummy!!! Friendly staff and quick service, highly recommended.

Not quite as good as the previous owners, however the food and coffee is still quite good. Cosy cafe to meet friends. Usually has plenty of parking in the car park just beside the building
Lovely hot coffee, great on a cooler day. I didn't have food but looked pretty standard fare, scones, muffins, carrot cake etc.
Nice personal service... this proprietor has a great personality and a lot of local knowledge. Keep it on your list. Great Food and experience.
