Didn't know the Ascot Novotel does buffet dinner until we saw the Grabone ad. So bought for our family of 5. There are lots of options from entree, mains and desserts. My highlight was all their fried platter type food. The lamb and beef were a let down, to chewy and too rare for me. Lots of salmon, sashimi, prawns, oyster and sushi. Their desserts were really good according to the rest of the family, I am too full so did not try any. Free carpark.
Came here for a Business conference. The snacks, lunch and dinner being organised by novotel. Every snack and meal was soo damn delicious.
The muffins for snacks just so soft.
The options on the lunch buffet was too good. Lastly the dinner was just the right way to end the whole busy day.
The best dishes among all of them was the dessert 🙌
FOOD was great, I am lover of cheesecake and the cheesecake that was served that night was to dieeeee forrrrrr!!!! Staff was kind as we entered and as we left. My dad loved it sooo much(because of all the seafood) he suggested that we celebrate his 60th Birthday with yous hahaha
Dined here for my sisters 21st and the food was really good. The buffet was international food. Loved the variety of foods you got to choose from and how filling the dishes were.
Would recommend the international buffet it does get really busy so would recommend booking in advance
Booked for 10 people on Mothers Day for dinner. First thing that hit me when I walked in was the lovely set up a Happy Mothers Day sign rose petals on the table and a complementary glass of Rosé. I like that theres lots of room and the actual dining room isnt too big.
If you love salmon and oysters and prawns and and did I mention salmon then this is the place for you 😂. My sister had her steak and prawns grilled and brought to the table and it looked perfect. I enjoyed the seafood and the dumplings. If anything their dessert wasn't bad and it wasn't the best. But the quality of the food made up for the lack in desserts. Would definitely come again even just for the salmon alone🙏
We had buffet dinner here. I am pescatarian (eat seafood, but no meat) and my husband meat lover, so we both can enjoy dinner here. My husband loves stakes and other roast meats, I had salmon sashimi and prawns, etc.... there are many option even you don't like meat. Desert was limited, but enough for enjoy with coffee / tea end of meal. This is our wedding anniversary dinner, and we got surprise from restaurant. We didn't expect they do for us. Floor staff Clarissa was look after us, she made sure we had good & special time since I booked restaurant she remember this is our wedding anniversary. She is good at make customer happy. We are sure we are coming back sometime from North shore. Plenty of car park, relax hotel restaurant, I recommend to everyone. Thank you very much Clarissa!!
Had the buffet option for a celebration, the atmosphere was great and the food hit the spot. What was nice was that you can order your steak however you liked it from the buffet, and there was a good seafood selection. The down side was the food wasn’t labelled so we didn’t know what some dishes were and also had to ask to refill a few dishes as they did take a while to do it.
All in all awesome place and awesome staff.
My partner and I came here for lunch while waiting for an appointment. What a pleasant surprise! We had wagu beef burger and burritos. Was delicious and service was awesome!!
A perfect place to come for my daughters 24th Birthday for a quiet and delicious meal. My daughter, son in law and I enjoyed ourselves very much. I love coming here, It's a must when I come to Auckland. The food and service was lovely. I love it when it's a Buffet or a Al la carte night. It's just nice and peaceful. You can focus on your family and enjoy a superb meal. I think it's a hidden gem. We plan to come try the Breakfast next time.
Great way to start the Chinese New Year breakfast. The buffet breakfast offers a variety of options - bacon, eggs, sausages, made-to-order eggs, pancakes, different kinds of bread, seasonal fruits, smoothies, juices etc. Good ambience and friendly staff.
Went to celebrate, with family a very significant family event and the entire experience was fantastic. The staff was helpful, courteous, professional and efficient. Special mention to Clarissa for going the extra mile and making a big difference to Personalized Customer service.
The food spread was wide had a lot of variety including, mussels, oysters, Steamed salmon and the sashimi's. The hot food range too was delicious specially the steak cooked to order, melt in the mouth. Slightly disappointed that there was no butter Chicken(widely advertised) although there was the Tandoori drumsticks.
In my view the only lacuna(if at all) was not knowing the names of the salad and the sauces of some of the hot dishes. Overall very good
Highly recommended
Had a “chill” time at Acacia last Thursday. The buffet had the finest choices and my favourite was the fresh seafood station consist of salmon, oysters, prawns, and mussels.
I would also recommend their seafood mornay, butter chicken, and roast ham. For the desserts, I enjoyed the coffee ice cream the most. I would like to expect more from their creme brûlée though - this needs perfection!
The staff were courteous and accomodating and the ambiance is great for a glass of their house red.
Food was pretty good, especially the pappadelle pasta. The fried banana was also delicious and the waitress was very friendly. The waiting time was a little slow and the food is pricey, but overall nice restaurant :)
The first time we came here we had a bad experience. I ordered the chicken caesar salad without anchovies or bacon as I don't eat red meat or like anchovies. However when the food came it didn't come with any chicken either... just plain lettuce...
We came back again to give this place a second chance and the food and service was a lot better. We tipped one of the waitresses for good service and in return she looked after us even better for the rest of the night and was super friendly and kind.
We have now been back many Mondays in a row and will continue to return as the location is convenient for my friends and I. The service is a lot better as the staff recognise us as regulars and actively chat and are friendly towards us.
The food is reasonably priced but there aren’t that many vegetarian/vegan options. The wait for food can take a long time if the restaurant is busy.
We got their grabone voucher to try as we'd never even heard of this restaurant before. Voucher was $69 for two people all you can eat buffet.
Didn't have much expectations of this place as it seemed too good to be true.
We got there a little early but they were happy to seat us right away. Service from staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful.
We ordered our drinks and they arrived in 5 mins.
The food selection was great! They had a bit of each type of foods and had just enough variety to make it interesting.
For seafood they had sashimi, mussels, oysters, salmon and surimi salad. They also had a salad/charcuterie style bar so you could make your own salad.
For hot foods they had things like curry, fried rice, glazed ham etc. They also had t bone steak cooked to your preference.
The dessert selection was good. I loved their croquembouch style profiteroles and the panna cotta.
Would highly recommend based on the service, quality and variety of food. Even at $50pp for normal dinner price it's still worth it, and cheaper than Eight Restaurant in Langham.
Top notch friendly service, went for lunch on quiet Sunday afternoon with 2 kids, a lovely lady in there made the kids happy with her lovely kids friendly personality.
Food wise was 50-50, the wagyu steak was top notch, will be back for getting more of this particular one! Unfortunately the spring lamb wasn't as good as the wagyu, a bit chewy, but still ok to eat.
Kids were pretty happy with their kids' meal set.
Wanted to take the family out to a nice buffet dinner tonight. It took some time scrolling through Google searches to find Acacia. I was slightly hesitant about coming here because the last review was about 6 months ago. I'm glad we did go though because it turned out to be a really neat place! Both of us as well as our kids really enjoyed the food at Acacia.
The food was great! There was pork belly, T bone steak, Moreton Bugs, Salmon, small seafood mix, salad and a good selection of deserts too.
Staff were also friendly.
Given the selection, the $49/adult price was worth it. Kids 4 years and over were half adult prices (which I thought was abit high having to pay $24.50 for our little 4 year old).
Came here with some friends for a late dinner and was wow-ed by the food. The salmon was beautiful it was cooked to perfection. The duck breast is a must try too. It's tender, juicy and flavoursome. I absolutely adore the parmesan chips. Thank you
Great atmosphere, great food, great staff and very quick phone order. Very happy with the overall of it. We had the burgers last time we came and they were definitely worth to come back to. This time we order the pizza. So so good!
Honestly, all I can say is... that the food was holding me captive.
I just loved this establishment. Decor was absolutely beautiful, elegant and so relaxing ( I so wanted the lounge suite....sigh)
The staff was just fantastic, but the food, mmmmmmmmm, so I had 2 plates. or 3, or 4. Loved the Salmon .... ooooh and those steaks...Just fantastic.
The vast array of desserts was just divine. The ice cream though,,,, nmmmmmmmm, just loved it.
Fantastic staff, just love the chef, very engaging. My 5 star rating isn't enough. You guys are off the scale. Wow. Voted number 1 with our large party, and yes, we will be coming back in another large group. I really didn't want to leave. Thank you so much for a fantastic night.
Always great service. Buffet dinners with heaps of dishes to choose from. Great Ala Cart menu as well. Super service. Love this place. Even ir you are not a guest at the hotel it is still worth a visit. Reasonable prices
Dined here on the 7th April for an Easter buffet breakfast after buying a voucher off DailyDo. We had five adults and two kids, and despite not making a booking we were served and seated straight away. The food was fantastic, with a great selection to choose from. The service from the staff was excellent and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Would definately come back here again.
Breakfast selection was excellent and staff were friendly and attentive. The garden environment outside is well-planned and attractive.
We went there for dinner on a Sunday evening. Very quiet with only a few tables. Saw their review on google wasn’t high, so I didn’t have high hopes. But it turns out to be a pleasant surprise.
They are in first table so it’s definitely a bargain, will return again as long as they are still listed.
Nice place to go. Signage is not very clear as to where to enter as well as parking. However the staff here were amazing. Food selection could be better a few more could be added as there is only scrambled eggs available. Would be great if there was a sign saying you could ask eggs be made for you as well. No pancakes, eggs bene or has browns which was disappointing, however great selection of juices available which is unlimited. Ambience of the place is cozy and warm, open dining area very spacious unlike some other buffet restaurants.
Really enjoyed our time here. Food was amazing and tasted fresh. Theres a little play area which kept our kids occupied. The service was AMAZING. We were nicely greeted in the beginning and always had someone checking to see if we were happy or needed anything. Great customer service. We were also the only ones in the restaurant which was lovely. We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend. A+++++
Went for breakfast this morning and had a great experience. I was a bit hesitant due to previous reviews but the food range and the service from staff was beyond expectations. Definitely worth trying it out for yourself 👍🏾
Went here for Mothers Day buffet dinner. Got there after 7pm and it was very quiet, by 8pm we were the only ones left, lucky for us. Food was delicious, variety was good. We had 3 kids under 6 and they were all free so that was a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere and comfortable furniture. Been here a few times before covid and glad they have reopened to the public. Will be going back soon.
Ordered from the menu, food was really good with beautiful presentation. Service was even better. :)
Lovely meal.
Big hotel restaurant.
Service was lacking. Not sure if they were short staffed or inexperienced.
Had buffet dinner with my family for Mother’s Day celebration here. Choices of hot meals a bit limited for a price of $69.00 per person though they are indeed delicious. Love the ceviche and salmon. The desserts are beyond amazing, heaps of tarts and cakes - my mokos love them. Potato salad was yum as well. Tidy and clean toilet and accommodating staff. Entrance is quite confusing and parking.
I attended a brunch service on the 3rd of February with a long-time friend from Sydney. I have chosen Acacia Restaurant as my family, and I have genuinely enjoyed the food, ambience and service the staff give us. The most positive part of the dining experience is how Sunny, a "Food and Beverage Senior team member", has not forgotten about me being a loyal customer of the establishment. I understand that the restaurant is constantly busy with high demands of customer expectations and requests, which substantially staff tend to forget customers. "I must admit I'm becoming a regular here now (laughs)".
I was delighted with the food we tasted; we ordered the Acacia Big Breakfast and French Toast accompanied by two Chai Lattes. Classical brunch food but excellent execution on plating, flavours and a personal twist with Acacia. I am impressed that mascarpone is part of the french toast, as many hotels and restaurants no longer put this on. Replaced from a local cream fresh that is whipped up. Mascarpone is a highlight of french cuisine. Well Done! Acacia, in maintaining this detailed part of the iconic dish.
This place was actually really impressive and for the most part the service was top notch.
My opinion its worth the money great dining experience. 👍👍😊
We go here regularly because we get an Accor Plus discount and the food can't be beat at that discounted price. The menu isn't flashy, but the food is always consistently well cooked and comes in hefty servings, whether you order meat or vegetables. The bar across the way offers additional seating and some quicker options from the same kitchen. Word of advice: the pizza is better shared than as a single serving! We haven't tried the buffet, but would expect the same level of food.
The entrance is very difficult to find. Google map is giving wrong direction.
Ambiance is good very cozy and quite. not crowded.
Few choices of food, sushi doesn't look appealing. but the oysters is SUPERB! Fresh, big and sweet. The dessert section is awesome. But I didn't see the sugar cone for ice cream (sad)
We are very excited to visit acacia it's our first time here.
We're celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. And to our surprise they provide slice of cake with happy wedding anniversary written on it. The lady who assist us clarissa add enjoyment to our celebration. She's very accommodating and even help us take our photos.
I will definitely recommend this restaurant and reassured we will come back.
Suggestion: please put more lights on the buffet table to make the food attractive.
Thank you once again.
This is an excellent place to go with a group of you. Especially if you go on a buffet night (contact them to find out which night and what the theme is). We love Thursday night seafood. Wide range of seafood + chicken, ham & usually pork roast also available. Been many (10+ times ) over 3+ years and staff are very friendly helpful and food always excellent.
General great place to go. Food was nice and service was good. Used plates were clean very quick. However, staffs are lack of training and not paying attention enough. Initially, there was no one pouring water until we asked for, but did fill up every time we leave the table for food.
There was a lego toy dropped on the floor, at least 3 staffs walking over it and no one pick it up until the receiption lady who are the only one into her job to pick it up.
Food were replaced very slow, but it was fine considering a busy Saturday night. The order to grill steak was served very quick.
There were lots of free parking thur the gate of the roundabout, but there is no sign of lights by the entrance. I assume lot of customers will be misleading to the paid parking on the other side of the building(main entrance). Also, the entrance is not easy to find.
