Cute little spot with plenty of parking. Lunch was simple but tasty and coffee was good too. Shame that they took away the 1+1 deal but understandable as the food is already really well priced.

Tried the house burger and the big breakfast platter. Both of them were pretty good, we had Zomato Gold which gave us 1:1. The food was really good. The cafe has fresh earthy tones to it and minimalist decor which makes it very refreshing.

I had my graduation party at Delight one evening last week. The owners were super helpful planning the customized menu with me. We had a lovely selection of hors d'oeuvre to start, followed by Pad Thai, super fresh salad, and finally the delicious baked cheesecake. Tables were rearranged to suit us. Everyone had a wonderful time and commented how much they liked the food. The cost was very reasonable and I had a great party. Highly recommended for private functions

Came in today for lunch with mom. We got the creamy mushrooms on toast and the cream cheese smoked salmon bagel. The food was affordable and under $15 each. Food tasted average and so was the portion size but definitely worth it for the price.
Hidden cafe in Ellerslie with superb service! We ordered the salmon eggs benedict, the cajun chicken burger and chocolate milkshake and mango smoothie. Both were done great! The chicken was cooked perfectly, looking forward to come again to try other options!
Quite place, good to have chat with friends. the space is big so your chair won’t touch the one behind yours like some other cafes. Close to the motorway.

We ordered the sirloin beef burger and the Cajun chicken burger. Both delicious and juicy, especially the Cajun chicken burger which was crispy and very juicy. Love the fries too so crispy and fresh. Service was excellent as well and nice staff! Ambience was great too. Overall a nice place to have brunch.
We love trying new places but this one has us going back for the service, coffee and big breakfast.

Ellersie isn’t one of the places that you would consider to be home of brunch/cafes. Delight Cafe is another great cafe in Ellersie, tha does beautiful food. I came in after doing a few house viewings around the area and was in the mood for some food.
Needing a place with Wifi connection, Delight Cafe came up on Zomato, and my decision was made. Coming in, what you will notice is that carparks are limited at the site, although you can park further down the street. The cafe is extremely spacious, so it's great for large groups. I ordered the Mince on Toast with a Poached Egg and a chili hot chocolate. The chili chocolate had a nice kick and tang that went surprisingly well with the sweetness of the chocolate. Well the mince on toast was scrumptious, the mince was firm and a nice salty and tomato sweetness to it which when you broke the egg yolk with it was a fantastic combo.
Great pricing and portion, another primo cafe in Ellersie.

Excellent cafe with lots of hot food and cabinet options. We had the banoffee verrine and carrot cake, which were amazingly well made and very tasty! The service was friendly and very quick, will definitely be coming back!
Very friendly staff and nice environment. Out of three meals we ordered, the chicken burger and the spaghetti are awesome, the portion of the smashed avo is smaller than expected. Overall, a good place to have lunch with kids. Will definitely return.
Great cafe to visit! Lots of dishes to choose from! We got two house hot chocolates which came with a very cute bird shaped meringue!!!!! We also got the beef burger with chips and smashed avocado which both tasted really good! Egg was perfect patty was juicy and meaty ! Honestly go try the menu yourself it's very good! Also for peeps who like hot chocolate they have a selection of different ones too!! Chilli sounds interesting must try it next time!

We wanted to stop off for a quick dessert and Delight cafe was just around the corner. Our hot chocolates came with complementary meringues dipped in chocolate. We also chose a brownie and a chocolate mousse and both of them had salted caramel.
Upon entering we were warmly greeted by the workers. They were extremely polite and friendly, the service was really great. The omelette had some nice textures and flavors. The coffee was ok, i prefer my coffee strong so definitely ask for a extra shot or two. Overall a joyful experience.

Bought hubby here for breakfast with a group-on voucher.
Friendly service. The place looked good. The food was great, hubby loved it. I did like the whole look and feel of the place too.
It was a Saturday morning about 9am and wasn't packed at all, very empty. But I don't like over crowded places anyway. So I liked that.
The only thing that didn't sit well with me personally is that the vouchers they offer on group-on apparently do not include the 'extras' stated on the menu even though the voucher we bought was valued up to $39.80 (we ordered our breakfast and only used $30 worth at that point - still had $9 to use if we wanted too, so asked for an 'extra' hash brown at $2-$3 more but was told "sorry you have to pay for that we can't include it in your voucher purchase') - yet nowhere in the small print does it say that??
Hmmm yeah, we just passed on the hash brown - yes we could of just pulled out some change to pay for it but I'm thinking we just ordered 2 large coffees (that we knew we had to pay on top which we were fine with because we knew that before purchasing voucher - but they can't add one little, and yes they are little, hash brown to make more use of our voucher we bought??? Yeah nah. It just seemed very silly to me. Told hubby to cancel the hash brown I wanted then as I sipped silently on my mocha feeling my blood slightly boil.
That one issue kind of put me off, not my hubby though, but like I mentioned at the start, food was great and service was friendly.
Would I recommend to others? Yes I would because I know not everyone will go there with a voucher like we did. The food is really great! Definitely go!
But I do feel if they had of just by-passed that one little issue of the hash brown and added it, as we were still within our limits of the value of voucher, and then perhaps think about entering that into the small print (because some customers DO actually read the small print) of the voucher conditions to make it clear, then I would of looked at it all differently and it would of been totally faultless in my eyes.

An absolutely delightful cafe brunch experience. We were a party of 4 that were pleasantly surprised by the excellent value for money, prompt service from both their Breakfast/Lunch menu topped off with great barista coffee. Definitely recommended, you won't be disappointed !
We came here after buying a Groupon voucher. We got to choose 2 breakfast from there menu. The food was fantastic and delicious. Generous portions. We also ordered a coffee which was also really good.
A bonus point was the friendly smile on the owner face 😊 will definitely come back and recommend to everyone!

Had a lovely experience here this morning. I took my mum out for breakfast here, it was very quiet but such a pretty looking cafe, the couches and one dining table made the feel quite homely but not like you were at home, just more comfortable. We both ordered the creamy mushrooms and scrambled eggs, the mushroom were really good, would live to know their recipe. Also the pricing is very good, a lot cheaper than most places in Auckland but still if a high quality. The scones and muffins in the cabinet good really nice a plump and of a very reasonable price considering their size. Coffee was also great, mum usually complains about every hot chocolate she orders, but only had nice words about this one. Service was great. I found the parking that is right outside the cafe to be a bit awkward but there is heaps of parking on the street and also a car park just across the road. Overall, great experience, would live to come here again. Don't know why it was so quiet, but I reckon people should definitely try this place out
We came here on a late Sunday afternoon and got treated to great service and food that looked and tasted great! We ordered the eggs Benedict, fish and chips and the delight special! Would recommend to all who enjoy a lovely little sit down for a good price.
Have gone here 3 times now for the big brekkie. The food is well priced and nice. Good coffee and good service the only thing i didnt like was the ambience it feels very cold with alot of concrete like your eating at a factory.

I recommend the corda sandwich with spicy salami. Very yummy, served grilled, so the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy. Yummy!
The friendliest staff in a busy cafe I have come across. Perfectly positioned for that coffee and 30 minutes stop on your way into work if coming from the east. Never a queue and nicely chilled out. Code is to my taste (although everyone is different) and when we had breakfast it was pretty good!
Great atmosphere, really friendly staff and I love the coffee. They use Organico coffee beans which I believe is from Karajoz coffee co and I try to stop in on my way to work. They are tucked a bit out of the way, but there is additional parking across the street in the lot. They also have space for office meetings and catering available. I highly recommend Delight Cafe.
We have dined at Delight Cafe several times since it opened a few months ago and haven't been disappointed yet. The food has been consistently excellent and there is a wide selection of drinks (the food and drinks menu is more extensive than the one listed on this website). The staff are friendly and there is plenty of parking available. Easily the best quality brunch I have found yet in Ellerslie.
Newly opened by Ellerslie racecourse and I am stoked. I wasn't intending to stay long but ended up sitting at a window table enjoying the sunshine. The place is very spacious, and the lighting above the front tables caught my eye with their glowing geometric filaments. They have a menu on the wall and an array of sweet and savoury cabinet goodies to choose from. I ordered an Americano coffee and bacon and egg muffin. I was stoked at the unexpected addition of cheese and relish! (Cheese is the processed square kind, but I enjoyed the childlike nostalgia that came with it! ) Yum! The coffee was bang on so I'll have to make this place a regular weekly ritual. Look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

The food was beautifully presented, and tasted even better. Great serving size, not huge but the quality was excellent. and the coffee had a nice strength and flavour, the perfect cup!

An excellent little cafe under the ABB building, just walking distance from home. So enough to just turn on the washing machine and walk here to try it out. I love the ancient stone walls outside the racing club, in stark contrast to the high way traffic. At first, disappointed by the lack of paper to go with my latte, then delighted with spotting a yellow-body black-tailed heli to take off inside the club. Back to the cafe, the wall artworks are parts of a bike, perhaps, tour de France theme. Latte is pretty good, albeit not the best locally. What has really impressed me with the smashed avocado, is a touch of caramelized bread taste I have never got from elsewhere. The sourdoughis just of the right hardness and crispiness, coupled with the right running egg. Sure, will return. Better to hang my washing out in a beau day!

The staffs are friendly and polite. The food better than average but the menu is quite limited and there is nothing very special. The location is not that great because it is located right next to the motor way. There are not many allocated parkings which belong to the place.

I was looking for a cafe to work remotely for a couple of hours and Delight cafe was recommended by Google. Perfect spot for remote working - free and fast wifi, reasonably priced great coffee, delicious smoothies and lovely friendly service. I’ll be back for sure.
