Been to this place twice in the last month - testimony to the yum factor in this relatively underrated Malaysian eatery.
Honestly, the interior needs a bit of a renovation but the regulars don’t seem to mind the cracked glass fountain in the front or the plants with the fairy lights from last Christmas still hanging off them.
Overall a good varied menu and the food generally excellent in flavor, taste and authenticity.
Liked:
1. Lots of variety and choice on their menu.
2. Enjoyed the chicken rice, wat tan hor and the fried kway teow.
Chicken rice does not come with the thick caramel style black sauce the way it’s served in Singapore but its equally good as the chicken has a bit of sauce which you can spoon over rice.
The wat tan hor was one of the best I’ve tasted so far in Auckland.
Chat kway teow had Chinese sausage which was surprising as lots of places don’t seem to add that ingredient.
3. Will come back to order their Kang Kong or morning glory and to try their Laksa and Yu bin mai fun or milky fish soup which looked like a generous portion and we saw lots of people ordering that at lunch time.
Big portions and super tasty. Great value during lunch hour - recommend to come as a group so you can try it all!
Came here late around 8pm on a weekday. Which is great, as I remember coming here a long time ago and it was always packed and rushed.
Food is still good, I would say one of the better Malaysian restaurant around! Service is average as usual, was seated and asked literally less a min after the menu was delivered if we were ready to order (same same asian style service).
Food cam out fast, and the portions are huge so get a few mates if you want to try out their extensive range of food!
Only down side about my meal was the fried rice noodle was a bit blend and dry.
Would visit again if I am around, but not a place I would drive out of my way to eat!
came here for lunch yesterday with friend. lots of ppl always a food thing. standard lunch price, tastes good. lots of things wanna try in menu. quite convenient for central akl and easy to park. restaurant is bigger than i thought, have more tables around the back.
Always busy but worth it for the food. This is a frequent haunt for me when I'm in the mood for some comfort food. The brisket curry and Kam Heong are my go to's!
I have been here many times, including dine in and takeouts. This place never disappoint me when it comes to Malaysian food. I honestly can't say anything bad about the food they make here. Everything taste what they should be, not overly cooked or undercooked, just right. Which is how a restaurant should function, good stable food that everyone loves.
I had the Hainanese chicken rice today, the meat was tender and juicy. The chicken rice was flavourful and not too soggy. The whole meal was decent, and was actually better than a lot of other Malaysian eateries out there in Auckland. The price was fair, I will highly recommend people to come here if they want to have some genuine food.
Taste - 4/5
Ambiance - 3/5
Service - 3.5/5
Value - 3.5/5
This is my go to for Malaysian foods. I can never get enough of the brisket curry from here. I love everything on the menu but i can never visit here with out ordering the brisket curry. Also fried tofu, prawns, char kway teow, chicken curry, fried fish, pork chop and sweet and sour are all worth ordering. Fish soup is also another very popular dish.
Prices are a lil steep but this is my treat place so makes it well worth every dollar spent.
Service here is always good and staff are always so nice.
Great authentic Malaysian food. Smell of the food took me back to Malaysia. As always loved my Teh Tarik (Malaysian pulled tea).
We ordered chicken rice, kankoong greens, and beef randang which were delicious! Highly recommended!
Definitely our favourite local Malaysian place. Love their use of thick rice noodles in the fish noodle soup. Things can be improved would be allow small size lunch dishes at dinner.
Huge portion sizes and flavourful dishes! But food tends to be oily and greasy, couldn't eat too much of the chicken before feeling like it was too oily for me... Friend was alright with it though.
Good variety of dishes to choose from. The food was tasty with generous portion. The staff was very attentive and fast. We came here with a group of 6 and ordered 5 dishes - Char Kuey Teow, Curry Beef Brisket, Mixed vegetables, Claypot Tofu and Marmite Pork Chops and they were all spot on in terms of flavours. We had a great dining experience.
Food is tasty and filling, and the portions are decent for the prices. The crumbed prawns are best when de-shelled, although you have to ask.
Suggest coming in a larger group to order more off the menu and trying some of everything!
Came here for lunch and we got the laksa, beef brisket rice and Malaysian fried noodles. Very fast service and very authentic and full of flavour. Nice ambience and convenient to park in the neighbouring streets. Would come back again.
I’m a big Malaysian food fan and have eaten 90% of Malaysian places in Auckland.
I have to say this place makes one of, if not the best, char kway teow. It is Smokey and delicious, not too salty. Simple and satisfying.
When we went for lunch today, every single table had a big bowl of fish collar soup noodles (including us). This must be one of their signature dish and it was very creamy and authentic. There were bits of fried pork fat in the soup to add flavour. Large portion - able to be shared by 2-3 people.
Lunch menu is different to dinner. Both are authentic and worth the price.
Food: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Setting: 3/5 a little tight
Accessibility: 3/5 can be very difficult to find parking nearby
Always a delight coming in. The tong Choy always tastes amazing and the spring rolls are extremely crispy on the outside. Curry puffs were delicious. I would recommend the pork chop and the fish head rice noodle. The curry chicken laksa is also worth getting.
Ambience: 3.5/ 5
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Tasty malaysian restaurant. One serving is usually good for 2-3 people depending on how hungry you are. Our usual favourite are the honey or the special pork chops and the combination or salt fish and chicken fried rice. Another personal favourite of mine are the nestum fried squid and the malaysian fried tofu. The breading on the nestum fried squid is so deliciously addictive. It has a combination of sweet, salty, buttery and a bit of crunch.
As it is located in an intersection parking might be slightly difficult.there are a few off street parking on Market road, Great South road or along Patey street occasionally we had to park.
Highly recommend fish noodle soup! Warning the portion is big! Their menu has most of the Chinese Malaysian classic that you will love and seafood is great especially 🦐! Plenty of on street parking.
The place is fantastic to dine in! Clean, yummy food, ok service however parking across the road is handy! Hard to find car parking spaces in Epsom. No complains! So this is it! my regular eat out!
Delicious and authentic Malaysian food. The portions are very generous. Service is quick and fast which makes ordering the dishes easy. I used to love the prawns.
Great improvement since few years back. Hainan chicken is very succulent, a must try dish. Deep fried tofu and other dishes are also great. I become regular customer of this place and Would definitely recommend it to friends.
Went for a casual lunch. The price on lunch menu was not expensive and the dishes were served very fast with good taste, however the drink was expensive with $3.5 for a can of coke. Overall, not a bad lunch choice.
The dining table was too old...downgraded the overall experience a little bit.
Tried nasi lemak and nasi goreng. Nasi lemak's chicken was good but serving size was small, nasi goreng just tasted like Chinese fried rice - I've been to better places where it had more smokiness and flavour. Don't think I'll visit again.
This is the first time I and family been here to celebrate my two brothers and i birthday dinner. Sri Mahkota Restaurant their recipe taste very good and lots of people keep coming in.
Just a dinner with friends, place was rather full. Service and ambience are standard. We had the coco nestum prawns, fish noodle soup, combo special, honey pork chops and the chicken rendang. Everything was brought out quickly, hot and delicious. My favourites were the pork, chicken and fish soup. Good place if you can get a table.
First time dining here was great. The Sambal chicken was delicious, crispy and not very salty (didn't need to down lots of water as I usually do with these kind of dishes). We also ordered the salted fish clay pot tofu. Definitely enjoyed it but funnily we couldn't taste a hint of the salted fish in there. Service was not bad, the waitress wasn't very friendly when we asked for recommendations. Overall our meal was definitely worth the visit! An above average place for your Malaysian cravings :)
I love this restaurant. Every time I go there, I always order the fish noodle soup. It may seem pricey but the portion is huge (you can usually share it with another person). I also order the Nasi Goreng and it is one of the best fried rice I've tasted in Auckland. It is seasoned nicely and it's got a wonderful seafood taste to it. Definitely come to this restaurant and try it :)
Another popular Malaysian restaurant with a cheap & cheerful element to it. Decor hasn't been changed in years so is a bit tired, but the food is pretty reliable. One of our favourite dishes is the chicken curry with roti, but the rendang & other traditional dishes are all well made too
Delicious food and reasonable prices. Seems to be always extremely busy so you might be better off making a booking before you turn up to avoid disappointment.
Tried their fish collar noodle soup, fried pork dish and stir-fried veges. They were all very tasty but in my opinion, Selera does much better fish collar noodle soup.
This outlet always busy. Came here for dinner last night at about 8pm, still was at least 3/4 full. Service was friendly, helpful, and fast. But maybe they were still busy, seems the staff look like they were in a hurry. We ordered Chicken Curry, Roti Canai, Sambal Kai. Very yummy indeed!
We would be back for more.
I never come here without ordering the fish noodle soup! No doubt their most popular dish, you can see this on virtually every table. Creamy and soothing fish broth with rice noodles, Chinese cabbage, and pieces of soft flaky fish. Coco nestum prawns are always a winner; large prawns coated in savoury crispy oats. Sambal kangkung is also a delicious companion for white rice. Bak kut teh was great, but could have done with some more meat in it. Lemon chicken was a disappointment, just didn't taste quite right. Oyster omelette was also a bit "off" but they refunded us after my friend addressed her concerns. Service is okay, and sometimes there is quite a bit of a wait for the food. Overall, the price can be a little on the high end, but for some of the tried and true dishes - definitely worth it, portions are huge and I always have leftovers to take home.
This Malaysian restaurant is more Chinese than Malaysian, as evidenced by the majority of Diners. We dined there with friends on 20 May 17 for the second time in two months. Cheap and cheerful describes the atmosphere- it's not upmarket but doesn't need to be. Getting a good table is essential if you want to enjoy your evening; we were lucky to be seated in a good position away from constantly passing foot traffic. Service is fine but you have to be pro-active in attracting the attention of the staff. Nevertheless the food is excellent and comes relatively quickly. We shared spring rolls for entree, I suggest giving them a miss as they weren't really any different to prepackaged supermarket product. Mains were a spicy pork dish, beef with ginger, golden prawns , a lamb curry and combination fried rice. Good value and satisfying. Parking is on the streets nearby so a bit of a pain but otherwise worth returning to.
Yummy! Awesome place to goto and share meals. I love their battered prawns, sweet and sour pork, and also their fried beans with chicken mince.
Also BYO
Sunday night and fairly busy. Booked a table but still left standing for 10 mins. Food was great. Everyone was happy with their choice. Salt and pepper pork, beef peppered and a chicken dish. Would return as food tasty ( when I feel I can handle the business!)
Yum, yum, yum!! This is one of the top Malaysian joints for me. Great portion sizes at reasonable prices. The dishes and packed with flavour and the right amount of spice. I haven't had a bad dish here yet. I highly recommend Sri Mahkota to dine in or takeaways. This place is always packed so I would get a booking in, if you want to eat in.
Not sure if the chefs have changed since I last went, but I remember the quality of food being pretty good here.
In terms of specialty dishes, my mum loves the fish head noodle soup and I've found their nestum prawns to be tasty. Not the cheapest place, but I think the food is worth it.
It's been a while I have write a good review. Sri Makota has always been our favorite Malaysia restaurant. Trying out the branch in epsom. The atmosphere and food is as good. In fact I like the Nasi lemak more than the bits wood branch.
Craving satisfied and another good Malaysian food you can consider for Malaysian flavored meal.
My favourite dish here is definitely the fish collar noodle soup.
It's tasty and great for sharing. The bowl is huge and they are quite generous with the noodles and the soup is delicious.
I've had the Mongolian beef years ago but recently I ordered it again and it was an absolute disappointment. Lacked flavour and the beef was chewy.
The chicken rice is rather dry and tasteless. The salt and pepper pork was on point. Tasty, tender but also crispy I the outside. The sambal Aubergine was tasty and really nicely cooked.
This place can get really busy so make a reservation.
Very tasty n delicious food and prices are also low, highly recommended👌. I ordered Nasi lemak chicken and mi goreng they both are vey tasty and quantity is also good.
Came by for lunch around 1130 and there was only a few tables occupied. Half an hour later the restuarant filled up and most of the tables were now used.
They have a lunch menu as well as a dinner menu. The lunch menu is mostly noodles or dishes with rice. The dinner menu has larger sharing plates. After being seated, it took a bit of flagging to get the attention of the waitress to order. They have standard Malaysian fare.
We tried the Sambal Beef fried Rice Noodles, Hokkien Mee and the Pork Chop on rice. I quite liked the sambal beef. The Hokkien mee was a bit on the salty side but still nice. The pork chop was covered in a sweet and sour sauce which was tasty.
Nice place for nice food but parking is a bit of an issue. We normally park on the side of Great South Road or off on the side streets.
By far the best bakuteh i can find in Auckland is found right here. Sri Mahkota have always been one of my favourite chinese/malaysian restaurant and their bakuteh is definitely worth a try.
Great for groups or those that enjoy sharing a few dishes as the portion sizes are very decent. The restaurant looks a little small when you walk in but you'll also find seating located throughout a few other rooms. The service is good and has definitely improved overtime. Recommended dishes are Chicken Rendang, Malaysian fried tofu and the Sambal eggplant.
There is a lot of variety of dishes to choose from. The dishes are cooked really nicely. Staff are very helpful and there's a lot of people in the restaurant. Which means that people actually come here for their good food.
one of popular Malaysian restaurant, i have been there few times, especially fish head soup very tasty and Especially hainaness chicken, just cant help ate a lot, price is resonable good serving dish, always busy full house, make sure book table before you go otherwise you might need wait for little while.
I love this place - a family favourite!
The chicken rendang, haianese chicken, char kuey teow and wat tan hor are my personal favourites. I have tried alot of different malaysian restaurants. Sri Mahkota is my favourite. Selera and KK would be my 2nd and 3rd favourites.
Service was good but Could improve by a cleaner enviroment.
Food was good also I liked the food and the payment was fast and easy.
Nice use of music and views the food was nice.
Based on a review off KK in my feed and a friend also recommending a new diner Mama Rich in green lane I was looking to check them out but Sri M is my favourite so to speak when it comes to Malaysian cuisine. The other top place in Panmure is wickedly good also, but Sri M is more mainstream and the unofficial if not official signature dish of fish with vermillci in the soup is to die for (if you like fish on bone)!! For me its the wow dish that grabs a extra 0.5 points in the rating.
While Sri M seems to have more a chinese influence the sambai and the renangs are great; being kiwi I guess I cant handle the spicy stuff so won't appreciate some of the fine attributes of spicy foods. The prawns in oatmeal is delectable and a must as well.
With the fish and vermillci a given I also ordered the beef brisket in claypot for another.
The prior was as good has the last time I visited - good portion of noodles and plentiful in fish and to add, these were nice fleshy pieces not the boney bits like the tail or fins. For the price you pay you don't expect any shortcomings and its a quality dish. Only shortfall was not enough soup hehe.5/5
As for the latter ie beef and fat in claypot this again was an excellent serving. Not grossly fatty and the brisket was cooked to tender and fallng apart on the bite. Still fat tends to liquify in to the sauce so unlikely to win any heart foundations ticks on that one. 4/5;
Little had changed in the decor not that it was needed. The big waterfall water effect atge front door identical to the Hansen ones actsbas a wind break for the front door drafts. Unless you sit at the small table by the door (which I did on one occasion)
Recommend the FnV soup and the Prawns dish after that you'll be back for more!
I go to this restaurant frequently usually for dinner. Throughout this period, definitely the service has improved. They are quite attentive. I suppose they watch and observe the needs of their customers.
As for the dishes I can safely comment that they are all tasty. Some dishes are spicy. So if you are not in for too spicy food, check with them first. If you are going for dinner, I recomment booking. Many occasions, I see drop-in customers have to wait for a table and it can be a long wait.
Give it a try and I am quite sure you will be happy.
Had dinner! Lovely food & good service but hygiene can be improved - especially the toilets!! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzxzzzzzzzzzzzz
Food 4.5

THE FISH NOODLE SOUP IS SOOOO GOOD!! :D It makes my mouth watering by just thinking of it. It's absolutely delicious. I really like the way they cook it. the soup is very smooth and rich but not oily at all. unlike the other restaurants they will put lots of MSG to enhance the flavors, you can taste the essence of the soup its literally extracted from the fish bone/fish meat, even its a 4 people's portion noodle, I will definitely have no problem finishing it by myself. I felt completely satisfy after eating it. it seems very good for you stomach too, coz usually if the soup has too much artificial ingredient, way too heavy or way too greasy will make me sick. but this noodle soup!!! it calm my friend's stomach. she felt so much better eating it :D.
We had a group of four to eat at Sri Mahkota for a birthday dinner. We had booked for a table and it wad already set up before we got there for us. We were given jasmine tea while we looked through the menu. The time that we got there was still very busy with big groups, and they looked a bit understaffed as the concierge tried to help a lot of tables at once. It was one thing to get glasses for our wine, and another to wait further for the staff to take our order. Eventually, we got their attention with a wave. We ordered a number of dishes that came out very quickly. The char keoy tauw was good, and a favourite with a smoky taste, although it was lacking in some heat. The nasi goreng was very good also, would recommend with the variety of meat that is in there. The sambal vegetables were well done, with a good balance of sambal in there. The sri mahkota prawns were very tasty with the heavy tamarind and onion flavours on the sizzling plate - do yourself a favour and order them deshelled. Lastly the honey pork "chops" were very fatty but flavoursome. Overall our experience was a good one, and despite the waiting for order it was well worth it. ~$100 for 5 dishes for 4ppl.
Haven't had Malaysian food for ages. So four of us went to Sri Mahkota!
This place is always busy, but we were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. 4 people 6 dishes! Service was good and the food came really fast. The food was alright, not very authentic though.. Especially the hainaness chicken! Plain -_- *Fish soup noodle - not bad!
The rest of the dishes were a bit oily and greasy.. 3.5!
Dined last night - absolutely top class lovely meal. Husband and I shared sweet and sour pork and mongolian beef, I am not a big eater but could not stop and ate the most I have in ages, the food was beautifully tender and very tasty. Being from out of town it was a REAL find. When back in Auckland we will be back to Sri Mahkota
We have been to the East Tamaki Branch previously and found the food divine. We came to the Epsom branch last night and food just as beautiful.
We had coco prawns, fried squid, chicken curry, fried tofu, pendang chicken and Sambal vegetables.
Service was on the slow side but it was packed the whole time we were there on a Tuesday night.
Would definitely come back again in the future.
the best Malaysian restaurant that I've ever been to in Auckland hands down. I'm the type of guy who's scared to try something new and so i always get the usual mee goreng at most Malaysian restaurants but the waitress recommended some dishes to us which were completely new to us but they were delicious. the waiting times for the food wasn't bad either. simply superb!! the prices on the menu look a bit expensive at first but the portions do not dissapoint ...will definitely be back
Simply divine! The seafood is to die for. The service fast and efficient and a real nice cozy atmosphere like eating at a relative's home.
We found the food enjoyable but the staff members were not trained to serve.
It took them ten minutes to bring menu, and the dishes arrived well before the rice, so we have to start eating the mains without rice!
The ambience is good, but they need to clean the glass water feature regularly.
You will always find this restaurant popular with the locals because they serve good, honest Malaysian chinese cooked food.
For the women, I recommend the Fish Noodle soup where you get a large bowl of noodles, served in a white fish broth. It has a lot of collagen which is great for the skin and warms you up on cold days. My wife particularly enjoys this, however be warned that you will need to have a party of 2 or 3 to finish one bowl, unless you have a big appetite.
The other recommendations are Char Kueh Teow, which is cooked exactly how Malaysians like it.. a little salty with a hint of sweetness put together with flat rice noodles. It's a dry noodle so it won't be served sitting in sauce/soup.
Price is a bit on the high side but it's affordable if you go in groups which is the norm, and everyone can share and pitch in.
Just down the road from home, it is the first successful restaurant I've seen in that building for 17 years, and it is no wonder. The food is excellent; the fish head soup is wonderful and tasty punctuated by crispy nuggets of pork crackling, the hainan chicken is always perfectly cooked soft and tender, I am a sucker for char kwai diow and theirs is excellent. Reasonably priced, very tasty, one visit will not be enough
Had heard so much about Sri Mahkota over the years and finally had the opportunity to dine here last week. Celebrated a friend's birthday here. Booked a table well in advance, so didn't have to wait. The place is a bit basic but the food is absolutely incredible. It lived up to every bit of the high expectations we had. The service was so prompt, it took less than 10 minutes for the food to arrive. The deep fried oats coated prawns is unique and very delicious. Also had a fish soup which didn't look very appealing but was beautifully flavoured. The Hainanese Chicken and Sambal veg were equally good. Overall the bill came to $21 per person and also took away a box of leftovers. Will definitely go back to try some of the other dishes, this place is highly recommended!
I come here frequently for the chicken curry. It is so big that my boyfriend and I always share it and order roti which are perfectly done. So delicious to dip your roti in the curry sauce. This is such a tasty and good value meal. Similar to KKs which is also nice but I much prefer Sri Mahkota as it is cleaner and has better service. From reading some of the reviews I will try the prawns next!
The huge plate of their speciality Nestum Prawns is an amazing dish yummy and possibly msg sweetened coated, I gotta check.
I'm a Thai food fan though, at a better price tag.
We eat here often, and it is one of the best places in Auckland!
The staff are friendly, it is always packed - booking is essential.
The food is consistantly fantastic.
We love the chicken rendang, salt & pepper squid, crispy oat prawns, chili beans, in fact no matter what you choose you cant go wrong as everything is good!
BYO too which is great.
Amazing restaurant. The curry laksa was amazing. Full of flavor, and just yet right amount Of chilli/spiciness.
Mee goreng was good as well, everything we ordered was a pleasure to eat. Would definitely return there in hopes for the same quality food and service.
Five of us went to Sri Makhota tonight. It was our first time there and it was great. We have tried KK Malaysia and Selera recently but the food was just as good here. The portions sizes were generous and the service was good. I would highly recommend this place and would go back in a heartbeat. The Four Seasons Beans were excellent as were the Chicken and Beef Rendangs. I am already looking forward to our next visit!
Have been back several times with friends and family and to date have never been disappointed. Sharing dishes and something different everytime we always walk away completely happy and satisfied. Top rate food!
Love the food - so cheap and always really good!
We have eaten here once, and the food was excellent. It was completely packed and very noisy, but this gave it great atmosphere.
I have tried many Malaysian foods in Auckland and Sri Mahkota must be one of the best. I and my friends order chicken curry with peanuts on rice, steamed soya chicken on rice, oat prawns, etc, all of them are very tasty.
Amazing food..Try the fish curry..but be hungry
the best Malaysian in Auckland..no doubt
Great food at a great value. Lunch are $10-$15. The standout dish is the fish head rice noodle soup, at $20 it is enough for 2. Luxury soup with chunks of delicious fish. Main restaurant had good decor but the back room was a bit bare. Nice and tidy presentation. It was fairly busy on a Tuesday lunch time. Will be back for sure.
More Cantonese than Malaysian. Excellent top quality food. Very tasty. Was very surprised how good it was. My parents love it and come often. We got Mongolian sizzling beef, sweet and sour pork, Hainan chicken, tofu and fried rice. All dishes were absolutely stunning and delicious. Good value for family of 4 especially given the quality and size of dishes. Recommended
My neighborhood restaurant, was never disappointed, dinning alone or with friends. If you dodge the peak hours, booking is not essential. I usually comes before 6 or after 820pm(kitchen stops taking orders soonish). Genuine M'sian food.
Found this place driving past. Easy off-street parking, even at 6pm on a Saturday night. Nice set out and decor. Hot tea on the table was refreshing and nice before, during, and after meal (stayed hot).
Prices were a bit steep with most mains around $29. We got the $26 pork chops with lots of like a sweet/sour sauce on it, a $20 Combination Fried rice with some chicken pieces in it and sliced tofu and two little prawns to the side, and the chicken wings entree. Meal came out within 10-15mins. Chops were tender and sauce delicious! Fried rice was nice, and wings had flavour/spice but were overcooked and dry (we used the extra chop sauce to compensate).
Overall though we enjoyed the meal and may go back and try other dishes.
Food =Good portion & tasty. Place=comfortable and clean. Fast service, I had full Chinese tea pot and enjoyed drinking with my food.
We ordered Hainanese chicken rice, salted fried fish and chicken noodles, and spring rolls take away. Happy to bring friends next time.
The fish noodle soup is always delicious 😋, very large portions. Curry dishes are tasty too.
Because of this place, Malaysian cuisine is now in my top 3 hands down, the most tastiest food around. Those prawns are extra nice and the oats and coconut make the best texture. The marmite pork surprised many of us and is a new taste for me and craving it right now. Will be back here as the service was second to none! Great place for family dinners and celebrations!! Everything should be shared :)
Beautiful food, really good potion. I saw all other tables are having fish noodle soup. Would love to visit again
When you think about Malaysian fish noodle soup, you think about Sri Mahkota. Legit the best fish noodle soup in town. The soup was so creamy and delicious with the soft rice noodle and fish chucks. The portion was huge so better to share with friends.
Large portions and the food is nice! The food arrives really fast too! Best to come with more people to share and try different dishes!
We also had the stir fried rice noodle which were slightly under seasoned, but it’s ok if you are eating with others as a source of carbs.
Their signature fish noodle soup is worthy of being called signature. Very good and very big portions.
Pretty good Malay food. Love the beef rendang, but I would prefer some crispy anchovies on the side and also peanuts.
Also the waitress is too forceful in trying to get us to have their snapper.
Great food, really great. I'm getting hungry thinking about it! nice and clean setting, though the water wall feels a bit out of place. Service could be a bit better too.
Reasonable price with great taste. Staff are friendly and it doesn't take them long to get the food out at all. We have tried several dishes already and we all enjoyed. So far so good haha a lot more for us to try out still. Their fish noodle soup and Malaysian fried tofu are my everytime orders. My very top Malaysian restaurant in this zone. Thumbs up!! :p
Accidentally ended up to have.dinner here. I have been here once for a birthday lunch.
I ordered Bak Kut Teh, arguably the best in town. For those unfamiliar with Malaysian food, the name literally means "Pork Bone Tea". There was a legend to go with it, perhaps you can google it. The dish is made of pork ribs simmered in broth of spices and herbs for hours. I lived in KL for four years, this is always my absolute favorite, good for health too.
It is nice restaurant to have a meal. Foods are quite good quality and very tasty.
Highly recommend.
