Best Brazilian restaurant in NZ . As a Brazilian/Argentinian, I have been to several Brazilian restaurants in NZ. This is the best by far. I always come with my family or friends and there are always other Brazilian guests, which testimonies the authenticity of their amazing food and friendly service. The meat is superb, rodizio perfectly made by Marcelo and the side dishes by Vanessa are just like at home. Fairly price for the location and what they give. I would definitely eat their food in a fancier place in the city as well. Be aware, other bbq churrascarias in the city are not authentic at all!!! Try this one and drink a guaraná and ask pudim for dessert.

Honestly the best Brazilian restaurant we have in New Zealand, I tried many brazilian options, believe me. Specially if you are looking for BBQ.
The meat is weight per 100grams so you can order a bit of everything. 😅
The owners are just lovely, they gonna make you feel home so you can have the best experience possible.
In the end, if you feel full of salty food you should try the caramel pudding for dessert, marvellous !

ps: The beef ribs are definitely something that you have to order, they melt in your mouth!🤤🤤🤤

First time trying today, We had pork belly, spicy chicken thigh, chicken medallion & the lamb leg. Yummy, juicy & tender meat is cooked to perfection.
Owners are very welcoming & friendly.

We decided to try out Santo for lunch having read about it on Zomato. It was a unique experience in a good way with a choice of meats BBQ over charcoal which gave the meats an amazing flavour. We ordered a pork lunchbox that came with 200g of meat, plenty of chips and a drink for under $14. Had we known the portion size we would only have ordered this for the two of us. We also tried the lamb which while delicious was not as good as the pork. Service was excellent and we were the only non Brazilians in the place, good sign 👍

Amazing Brazilian bbq. Everything is fresh and very well prepared. The owners are very nice people and will explain everything to you. I strongly recommend the beef rump cap.

As a Saturday brunch group we were a little tired of ‘brunch’ so we decided to try something different to our traditional brunch. I suggested Santos for a few reasons, I’m just a sucker for barbecued meats ( yes I’m probably one of those people who would watch a 2 hour barbecue documentary ) , having had Columbian and Argentinian barbecue and the fact the restaurant was in an area better known for its Asian culinary strengths.
Coming in for lunch, I’ll note that parking isn’t the easiest. There is a small car park directly opposite Santos and its stores, so my recommendation is to park up there. Upon entering the service was pretty good, the owner explained to us how the system works and we just bother with ordering.
One point to note was that although we came for lunch every meat selection was available. I don’t know if this is a regular thing but on Zomato the menu listed had stated that certain meats were only available during dinner. We ordered the Beef Rump, Beef Ribs, Chicken Medallion, Traditional Brazilian Sausage, Green Salad, Chips and Pork Belly. Im going to cut straight to it the food here was amazing. Everything tasted extremely fresh, juicy and well textured. The only caveat to that sentence would be the beef rib, which was a bit dry. My recommendation after dining in and chatting about our favourites would be that you simply must get the Chicken Medallion, which was chicken thigh wrapped with bacon. The contrast of the softer chicken and the crunchy bacon was divine. I would also implore you to order the rump, something about South Americans and their ability to properly season meat. Cooked to perfection in terms of being juicy and succulent, you cant go wrong with the rump steak. The Brazilian sausage was also quite interesting, theres a little bit more click and the skin was chewer. The beef rib on its own was a little bland and the Green Salad was pretty standard. The Pork Belly was okay, chewy and had a crunchy skin.
Overall our bill for 4 people came up to around $62 dollars, an absolute bargain in my opinion and the quality here was sensational.
5/5 for the taste, quality and service. These are the local business that Im more than happy to spend my money with and we should all be supporting these type of business that provide a real great experience at friendly prices.

This is a fairly new place which has opened up in Flat Bush. It’s quite nice as I don’t see much Brazilian takeaway restaurants around. This actually has to be my second time coming here and I am planning to come again.
The meat here is weight per 100grams so that’s something different from any other restaurants.
You can definitely sit in and eat or even take away - but I prefer eating in as the food will be hot and fresh off the bbq.
First visit I ordered:

• Pork Belly
Everything that I had was absolutely delicious.
The Spicy Chicken thigh is delicious and definitely spicy but it taste so good. The meat it tender and moist.
The Santo Burger was full of flavour, filled with beef cap pieces, bacon, egg, onion, cheddar cheese, tomato, spinach and mayo. So filling and just so good.
The Beef Ribs are definitely something worth trying. The meat just falls off the bone. It was so juicy and tender, and just so delicious. However it did seem to be a bit salter than the last time I tried it.
The Chicken Medallion was delicious, tender and so good. The strip of bacon wrapped around it was just too good.
The Pork Belly was perfectly good. Juicy, didn’t have an extreme amount of fat, and crispy as well.
The service here was wonderful.
Definitely worth trying there food and seeing for yourself.
THE FOOD IS SO AWESOME. The meat literally melts in your mouth and the available side dishes are equally delicious. The atmosphere of the shop itself is so quaint and cute, and the people are SO LOVELY. You can seriously feel the love they put into their cooking when you eat their food. It's definitley worth every penny you spend. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I'll definitely be eating here often.

I have been in the lookout for a Brazilian BBQ place for a while and then I came across this place. Absolutely loved my first visit here tonight. Got pork belly, Brazilian homemade sausage and rump cap. All utterly delicious. Reasonably priced too and the customer service was absolutely tip top
First time trying out this place tonight. We ordered the beef ribs, lamb and pork belly. The meat was nice and tender & full of flavour. Our favourite was the beef ribs. Sadly the chimichurri sauce was a let down. It tasted like dried mixed herbs with light chilli oil. The chips were good and generous serving. The mash potato was average. Another thing I’ve noticed is they have changed their menu slightly, it’s not the same on Zomato. No more shisho (kebab) or scotch steak. But they have Brazilian sausages. The rump cap and chicken medallion looks lovely. Good service. Definitely going back to try other meats next time.

The meat here is so jam packed with flavour and always cooked well. You definitely have to try their spicy chicken, beef ribs and pork bellyOh and their Brazilian drinks are so delish too.

This place is new and still getting over some teething problems but the food is amazing and relatively cheap! Two people came to under $50! I would suggest they get some heating for dine in customers but I think given the location it’s definitely a take away restaurant. Will definitely be coming back again

The people and service were so friendly . We had the Rump cap, Pork Belly and Beef Ribs . All the meat was succulent and tender . We also had the mash and the "special rice" which in all honesty isn't rice , it's more like quinoa and chia medly which was alittle tasteless but added some lemon to it and was amazing 😁
Found this place while I was getting a haircut next door several days ago. I haven't tried Brazilian food before and thought I'd give it a crack. Wow! I was absolutely blown away by the quality, taste and service of the owners. The meat was incredibly succulent and flavourful, cooked the authentic Brazilian way. The best part was how well priced it was! Highly recommend the Sirloin or Spicy chicken thighs when you visit. 100grams of each should be enough to satisfy your cravings!

the food is cheap and amazing, the customer service is what sets this place apart from the rest. They go above and beyond to ensure you feel like family there. The owners name is pronounced Marcello and sets a high bar in terms of service for the surrounding stores.
If you want a monster like home cooked meal at it's finest, this is the place to go. The food keeps on coming, different amazing meats offered and a selection of salads and fries in constant flow.
Will always be returning with more of our rugby families!! See you again sooner than soon!

We really enjoyed it. We were very welcomed, received a great service in a very good atmosphere. the food is Just delicious! A real brazilian tasting charcoal BBQ, served in the way Brazilians know best (yes, I am talking about rodizio!), by weight, and you can choose the combination of meat and portion size you want (I really liked it, very clever!) or also in the best kiwi-lunch style (in a sandwich)! Thx for the great Fathers day lunch, Santo BBQ Brazil staff, we will be back! And don't forget the Guarana(best Brazilian fizzy drink) and the deserts!

Great Brazilian BBQ place made just as it's supposed to be! They also have farofa, guarana and a delicious mayonnaise. The owners are lovely as well!
