Yummy food at a good price with friendly service and peaceful environment. We had a really enjoyable brunch and were quite surprised with the amazing soup of the day (made fresh) and coffees. My daughter a bit fussy kid loved her chicken nuggets. Somehow this place just felt like home. Thanks for a great start to our morning that we really needed while travelling with a small child. Definitely recommend l.
While we were to fox glacier, we werent sure where to dine out( as we are vegetarians/vegan). However we decided to try out this cafe and ordered a PiZza & fries and to our surprise it was delicious. The service was OK though.
We visited in the January school holiday period and the town was pretty quiet. Not too many people, which is kind of sad to see. We ordered nachos, burger and chips, as well as a pizza for the kids. The owners were friendly and chatted to us and also gave us so local tips about the area e.g. Peak Lookout
If i could give this place more than 5 stars i would ! Food and service was amazing. I can see myself stopping at fox glacier just for this place. Staff really accomodating and caring even with odd requests such as pizza for breakfast :)
Carrot cake was good and slightly warm(ed). The Dutch apple pie was served with whipped cream the way it should be. So kudos for that. Maybe the slice was smaller than what you get in the Netherlands and it was a little bit less sweet than what you'd get there.
Coffee on the other hand was not what I call latte (on the picture)/flat white: big bubbles, no microfoaming, milk was nearly boiled (should be warmed to be hot to the touch instead, but you can hear the barista occasionally boil the milk).
Giving this place 4 out of 5 because you don't really have anything better in the region open in the morning to serve you caffeine.
Came here for dinner, ordered the chicken wrap. Portion was big and not too pricey. Decided to come back for breakfast the next morning; the eggs Benedict was alright however the bacon and Small Breaky was very nice, toast was nicely buttered and toasted. Great music while we were having our breakfast.
Nice little cafe on our way through the glacier areas. They have soy milk which is great! Some vegetarian food options but didn’t see any vegan options. It connects to a gift shop which is super nice as well. Great seating areas and nice staff!
Deserves a higher rating! Had a late dinner here and decided to come back for breakfast the next morning. Price is decent for a tourist town. Coffee is great. Bacon and toast is tasty. No problem with the service, provided everything we required.
Nice little cafe in the Fox Glacier area. Large portions of food and friendly staff as well.
Extremely friendly staff and the best mocha I’ve had in New Zealand. Make sure to get the Extra large size coffee, it is well worth it.
Stopped by with my partner for breakfast when staying nearby. We had the breakfast muffin and a ham, cheese and tomato toasted sandwich, along with coffees. The service was friendly and the food served pretty quickly. It all tasted good and was reasonable value
Good but not amazing. My husband asked for his steak to be medium rare but it was more like medium well done.
My nachos and chilli was tasty though.
It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the sunset.
Came here day after good Friday. Busy Saturday morning, but staff were amazing. Good friendly service, very fast, and good coffee bean roast (light -medium roast), so very well made. Wife ordered medium soy, they upgraded her to large (bonus!). A good well rounded cafe, good vibe, great driver reviver, worth a stop
