Snake Bite Brewery - Franz Josef - Photo album

Absolutely delicious food and a friendly atmosphere. The only improvement I would suggest is a better system for information on allergens to save the ask the staff, they ask the kitchen then back to you approach, which works fine until things get busy. Also, I ordered a smoothie listed on the board
Easy, good food and drinks. Staff were lovely. Very surprised to get a very large, tasty, vegan yellow curry with plenty of additional spice. One of the better places we found during our short stay in town.
Excellent breakfast, menu was really good. I had the smoked salmon eggs benedict and had a GF brownie to take away and they were both amazing. Defo recommend this place for breakfast 👌
Perfect spot to enjoy happy hour and watch the sun go down over the mountains. Ordered the spicy chicken wings with blue cheese sauce to share. Not only was it yummy but they gave us each a WARM water finger bowl. Lovely staff, friendly patrons.. we'll be back!
Great food but the front staff were pretty rude and NOT friendly and NOT helpful. Front staff needs a bit of training.
As a tea drinker I’ve rated 5 stars for Snakebite Cafe as they used REAL tea leaves in a tea pot instead of the usual solitary 1 teabag. The chips were delicious and light ..not greasy tasting. The service was friendly and you have to come here and see the Lamingtons. Man ! They’re as big as houses
I liked the place. In our trip in New Zealand so far at most places visited there are only 1 or 2 veggie options. This place had more than 2 options BUT we were disappointed that there was no tofu available despite what the menu indicated. Hence the 4 star. My friend had the egg fried rice whilst
absolutely gigantic portions, especially the wanton noodle soup. nasi goreng wasn’t too bad, but both the fried rice and noodles (pad thai) needed more time in the wok or a stronger fire.
The menu was so tempting we went here for lunch and dinner! Great service, generous portions, good tunes. Burgers and chips were excellent. Tofu Pad See Ew and Beef Rendang were some of the best we have ever tried. Berry cider was yum!
We came here for dinner after arriving late on Wednesday. Not many options for dine in as many restaurants were closed. We were lucky to get a table without a reservation as the restaurant was quite full and there was a wait for your food to be ready. However the waitress serving us was rather nice
Redemption!!! So if you’ve read my review for Monsoon and lost all Hope have no fear, Snakebite has solved all the problems Monsoon cries about. First their management acknowledged it’s short staffed with a big sign right out front. Every server gives you menus and points you to the bar to order an
Great atmosphere and very good service. I ordered chicken and cashew with rice but it was battered chicken in a very sweet sauce which was not what I was expecting. Other guests at my table said their meals were really nice. Very limited vegetarian and no vegan options on dinner menu.
I'm not sure of the food as I only had a pint of their popular Sprid and Fern Lager. It's a really good one!!
Great Asian and local NZ food in Franz Joseph! Nice and friendly atmosphere too! Ample space inside and outside. Friendly staff and quick service. A variety of Asian and local NZ dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Good place. Asiatic. Nice recommendations. Nice drinks. It was open when many restaurants did not. I ate Indonesian rice with prawn, I really liked it; and they put the spicy aside (I do not like spicy, so very good experience.
What a good vibe when you walk in. It was a bit quiet on a Monday night but they still had the music playing and there were a few locals there so it felt lively when we walked in. The menu is varied and we choose from the Asian menu. Pad See Ew and the Bau Bun was spot on. Staff were friendly and th
Great food , saulty and sweet , but overall Asian options are unbelievable
Food was so good and really hit the spot on the more rainy day that we had. I had the chicken dumpling soup and my husband had the KFC burger, and treated ourselves with cans of Coca-Cola (one regular, one vanilla!). We have travelled the world, and he said it was one the best crispy chicken burgers
