We saw they do Asian dessert and since they also offer yum cha, we met here for lunch to see how they are.

Nice foo and service . There is usually a long line so was pleasantly surprised to be able to walk in and order straight away. If planning to visit don't count on my experience prepare to wait a bit
Turns out you can get Chinese breakfast here! As far as I know this may be the only restaurant in Wellington that serves Chinese breakfast. Totally recommend it, great value for money and delicious. Also open Sunday apparently

The Dumpling Company has been relocated next door recently. It’s now much larger. Besides, there are some new dishes on their menu. I tried this hotpot and it was really nice.
Soo yummy. We were desperate for a meal at 9pm after getting off a plane. Great food, friendly service even if you have to negotiate non English speakers.

We were not offered alternative cutlery and got the water ourselves. A few minor service isssues.
I am not a dumpling office do but these were very yummy cheap and the jasmine tea good. Could improve on cleanliness but for a quick stop and light lunch very good. Cost $
Very good range of food, it's not just for dumplings. Hot pot was a fun experience, but too expensive to do more than once, unfortunately. The baked and steamed custard buns are amazing.
