Food was amazing. I ordered a steak and they cooked it beautifully as how I wanted. The apple cider beer was a perfect match for my steak, perfect crisp apple taste soo good. Surely coming back!!! :)
Had an excellent meal here last night, my friend & I came for dinner not realising the game was on so it got very busy very fast, we had a wee bit of a wait but that was expected due to how busy they were. The meals though! Wow � we each had the fettuccine & was easily the best I've had ever. Absolutely amazing

Food and atmosphere lovely. Only complaint was the waitress seemed to forget about us after our mains, so didn't bother with dessert as we couldn't get her attention
Following a great walk around Hobsonville we decided on lunch at the Malt in Greenhithe. We have been to the venue a number of times when it was the Malthouse, and always had a good feed. We sat outside on the lovely deck area and ordered a Mexican Salad and a Tandoori Chicken pizza, both accompanied by cold lagers - well priced lunch specials at $20 for a Salad/pizza and lager or wine. We also ordered a side of steak fries with aioli. The Mexican Salad contained red cabbage slaw and corn, with rice and black beans (although a bit light on the rice and beans) topped with succulent chicken. The Pizza had large chunks of tasty spiced chicken, red onion and was topped with peach chutney and banana - it was simply delicious. The service was a little slow (because of a till malfunction??) and the chips should have been served first, with the beers, instead of after the mains. But overall good food at a good price and we will certainly be back again.
Went there last night, was really great. I ordered the chicken and Brie burger and it was massive! Very filling and delicious. The lamb shank also looked wonderful! Defs would go again

We came here tonight for an early dinner, loved the seafood platter and hubby's steak was done to perfection. Service was excellent and the staff very welcoming and attentive. Cant wait to come back with my girlfriends for a nice long lunch!
Busy night it seemed. Wait staff pleasant and keen to oblige. Our first time here since the restaurant changed hands, gotta say food was not as good as previously. Looked like a good variety on offer especially pizzas and pastas but I'd like more choice with the traditional mains thanks.
I love coming and eating here and would have given this rating a 5 stars!! Except when sport is on! I understand that it's a sports bar too, but there is no way that you can cut the restaurant part off from the sports bar - so if you are there during a sports game it is very loud and takes away from the enjoyment of the food
I came here a few weeks ago for dinner and drinks. The cocktails are soo delicious! And we certainly had our fair few of them😂 the food was nice however next time I would probably order the woodfired pizza (after reading reviews on zomato). the portions were very large and well priced. The garlic pizza bread was delicious! The only down side was that the burger was very meaty- to the point where it only tasted like meat and bun. I'm sure that would make some customers happy-just wasn't what I was after. My parter had the steak and egg and he was very happy. All in all. This place has a great atmosphere and we had an awesome night out. Staff were very friendly and we will absolutely come back here!

I've dined here multiple times for lunch and the Woodfire pizza is always a must! Not quite genuine Italian but still amaaaazing quality not just heat and eat type. I'm pretty sure on Sunday's the pizza is even half price which is well worth it! The mango salad unfortunately was not the best tasting And looking like a few ingredients put into a bowl but I'm still going to rate this place for the pizza!

I went for dinner with a friend on a busy Wednesday at The Malt. As we were seated we were told that the kitchen was super busy and would be some wait on meals, but we were in no rush. The menu had a huge range of food and drinks. I ordered the passion cosmo, so yummy I could have had them all night. I ordered the Los pollos chicken burger and my date ordered the sirloin. After waitinf about 30mins our waiter brought us some complimentary corn chips with salsa to apologise again for the wait which I really appreciated. I felt sorry for the wait staff who were getting a hard time from some other customers but I thought they were doing their best. We waited about another 30mins for our food and when we were served the staff were very apologetic again. The food was worth the wait. The sirloin was big and juicy with generous sides. My burger was loaded with chicken and yummy coleslaw but needed about twice as much avocado, the side of fries was huge too.
When we went up to pay we were given a discount off our meal for having to wait which was very thoughtful. I am definitely willing to try out The Malt again, the staff and service made our night 😊

Lamb Kebab: 30 dollars ish for 2 skewers seemed a bit over priced. But the taste was good
Ribs: The ribs were really yummy. Tender and packed with flavour. The chips were really good as well! The salad was on the smaller side but that’s just my personal preference. Definitely must order the aioli it was really delicious.
Overall just get the ribs & pizza from this place it was the best thing we’ve had here (been here a few times over a few years).
As a first time customer to the Malt. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a family-friendly vibe that made us feel right at home.
The portions of food were generous, leaving us feeling satisfied. The restaurant also had a nice, relaxing environment that made it easy to unwind and enjoy our meal.
Our kids had a blast playing outside and we appreciated the safe, fun environment they provided. Overall, we had a great experience and would highly recommend the Malt to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience with their loved ones.

the restaurant area could do with some acoustic treatment though, difficult to have conversations due to how loud the room can get when it's busy. a simple few panels will fix that in no time.
I recently had dinner with my family at the malt. And I must say IT WAS FABULOUS. The food was impeccable (I highly recommend the pizza), the atmosphere was spectacular, and to top it off we had the most wonderful waitress named Lexi. She was always happy to serve us and she had lots of knowledge on the menu and the dishes on offer at the malt. I always say that a great server makes for a great and enjoyable meal and Lexi definitely made that a reality. The atmosphere was warm and homey and my family all loved their meals. Overall, great meal, great time, highly recommend.

New place for dinner. Food was good.
We had our dinner here last Wednesday for the first time to celebrate my hubby’s bday. I’m so glad we did as the food were delicious and service was amazing. We’ll definitely come back for more.
Had an amazing time at the Malt bar and restaurant. The ribs were finger-licking good and paired perfectly with the Guinness. Fries and mashed potatoes? Absolutely delish.
Service was welcoming and food delivered quickly.

Chiefs special was bacon wrapped steak topped with a king prawn. Hands down the most amaizing take on surf and turf ever.
Everything was cooked to perfection and the little side bits that can make or break a fine dinning meal were on point!!
I even nearly missed that their was a mushroom sauce untill the end because it was so subtle and not just trying to drown the steak. Flavorful veg picked to elevate the meal well and again cooked just right. Snow peas that were very crunchy as they should be to firm potatoes and slightly softer beets.
The staff were fantastic and as I was alone showed they were professionals in accommodating all weirdos.

I'll say first that we couldn't stay unfortunately and had to takeaway to bring home the food. We ordered on the phone and the staff were great at getting it ready by the time we came to pick it up. The food was really good! Would recommend the pork ribs, they are delicious and the portion is very big. Hopefully will be able to come back and try more of the menu.
