Very great friendly service, kindly made me a vegan gluten free toasted sandwich with no snarky remarks which i highly appreciate haha. Good coffee too!
Been to this place twice would not mind going there again. Have just had a coffee so not much to say but yes it does have toys if your little one is keen on playing.
Dropped by for a coffee passing through and the service was amazing! Such lovely people with genuine interest and a homely feel to them. My boyfriend and I were on the look out for opshops in the Wairarapa and staff were kind enough to let us know of all the ones around along with directions. Coffees were great too, coming from being picky baristas ourselves, props to these guys! Definitely gonna make this our go-to spot on trips through and try out the food next time round for sure!
Great food and big portions at a very reasonable cost. I love their pâté. It's a great place to hang out and take you time to read the newspaper
Cahoots is a special little place. I've come here with my partner for two things. The coffee is never a let down and the Paté is AMAZING!
Highly recommend the place for break-lunch!
You possibly have to be a local to really appreciate cahoots. It's like an old pair of slippers - pretty well used but you'd never want it to change. All of the staff are characters and although at times you might feel intimidated - don't be - they are priceless. The barista is quiet, the guy who runs the place can look grumpy, his missus is lovely, and they had, unfortunately (and I mean that) now gone, one of the most abusive waiting staff I've ever known - but everyone has a good sense of humour.
There are a couple of eating spaces - the main one by the counter and a very basic addition that keeps the weather off and through that, a small outside seating area. However its worth sitting by the counter just to listen to the banter between locals and staff.
The coffee is always good - the quiet one knows how to make good coffee and the food never fails to please. My go to is a takeaway coffee and the bacon butty (they'll usually make a fresh one if run out) - the big breakfast is a good solid start to the day.
Although the michelin inspector isn't likely to call anytime soon, I'd rate this place very highly - the individual components of service and ambience may not score highly if you took them out of context, but, the atmosphere together with the food, as a complete package is priceless.
Yes some of the plants are terminal, yes it's chaotic, but hopefully it won't change one bit (and hopefully not a spring clean) for a long time.
A Wairarapa classic
Driven past this place many times but won't do that again. Excellent breakfast and service very friendly. Happy to accommodate changes to menu items and from a very fussy coffee drinker the flat white was superb. This is our new Wairarapa breakfast stop which we found because our usual Greytown stop has gone so far backwards we won't go there any more.
Best pies I have ever tasted - so fresh and full of flavour
Very funky cute café. Shame it was a cold wet Monday. Coffee was very well made.
Very cosy. They let us keep our elderly small dog with us in the covered area just outside main cafe. Staff all stopped to acknowledge our dog and made us feel so welcome. Muffins are old school huge and delicious.
Enjoyed a quiet coffee and a nice pie here. The quality of the food was great. There was a good range of cabinet food and warm offerings. Coffee was good and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely come here again.
Coffee is great and cheapest that I've come across at the time of this post.
Thoroughly enjoyed the bacon eggs Benedict with home made hollandaise sauce. Bacon was yummy.
Fantastic breakfast! Scrambled eggs and bread were really great. People very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
Lovely people, good food. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will go again
Another visit to Cahoots cafe in Greytown, as they have the best pies around. Great coffee, great staff. Blackboard menu and cabinet food. Right on the Main Street with parking at the door. Inside/outside seating. Hats not to like?.
Lovely little place to stop for lunch. Not really suited for large families/groups but great selection of food and good coffees! We've stopped by a few times now without the kids! Definitely recommend!
Beautiful breakfast, the food was delicious and the staff really welcoming and friendly.
We had Parkvale mushrooms and bacon, Eggs Benedict and two cups of tea $42
I visited Cahoots on behalf of a friend who had passed away, Cahoots was her favourite cafe. As always the BEST and funny service by Kerry 😀 and best yummy scones! Just right coffee. And fab banter👍👍
