Outstanding customer service from the owners when we dined at their restaurant a few months ago. Delightful food, cozy and romantic private function room ambience, and reasonable pricing esp their five-course meal. Highly recommended when you visit Greytown.

Popped in on a wet Monday early evening. Was great. Sat in front of the fire in amazing leather chairs. Started with the oysters - just great. Then the beetroot/ feta risotto with a side of veges. Finishing with the lovely Apple Strudel. All with recommended Chardonnay. Great relaxing evening. Certainly can recommend

Wonderful experience for an extended family birthday dinner including six young children. Amazing staff, great food and we were able to use the private dining room, which was perfect. Highly recommended.

Beautiful and delicious meal - highly recommend trying the Ostrich Fillet. We also had the breads, Kumera fries and the steak which were also worth ordering. Lots of gorgeous local (and Martinborough) wines to choose from. The Ladies in restaurant and Bar who served us were both really helpful and lovely.

Greytown Hotel has hidden gems 💎💎💎. One is the Chef's Choice degustation; fine food that will delight you, with cleverly chosen wine matches that, together, will invigorate your palate. The other two gems we discovered were Michael and Michael who, together, offered us their outstanding hospitality. It was certainly convivial but, most of all, their passion for food and wine was contagious. Thank you.

Had a great night. The Wellington on a plate burger was fantastic. Pasta Verde my wife had was described as delicious. We'll be back.

Pete and I really loved the food. Kingfish ceviche(delicious), in house created charcuterie meats (also delicious) and I had the grilled ostrich for mains, while Peter had the prawn pasta. Because the hotel is out of the hub of Greytown I think it’s overlooked. Give it a try-you won’t be disappointed. The person who served us was new but terrific. We blew out the candle at the table because the smell was overpowering-otherwise very enjoyable

My daughter and granddaughter went over to Greytown for Mother's Day and had lunch at the 1860. A lovely experience. I particularly enjoyed the salmon and prawn risotto dishes, but all the dishes were yummy. Excellent, friendly service too. I definitely want to go back.

We celebrated my parents 50th wedding anniversary at 1860 with 25 people on Saturday evening..Orla set us up the function room that was brilliant! Keeping our younger members contained and entertained... A custom set menu aseembled by the chefs and ticked all the boxes including kids and picky teens ... The service, food, and coordination was amazing!! Thanks for making the evening extra special. I highly recommend 1860 see you again soon

Amazing food and service. Cozy atmosphere. Chicken wings were a highlight, but everything was delicious! Would definitely return when back in town next.
