Good service and quality food especially the eggplant and soya chicken. Soya chicken is oily but not greasy, meat is delicious.
The best fresh crispy roast duck in Hamilton, half a roast duck takeaway, always satisfied my Chinese craving. Tried dine in a couple of times, other Cantonese dishes are pretty average, the satay beef (Hong Kong style) was not flavorful enough and had pieces of canned pineapple in it.
I have only been to this restaurant once so far (with 2 other family members) a few weeks ago for lunch, and we were very happy with the food we chose. I'm part Chinese and grew up in Hong Kong, so have an appreciation and taste for "real" and authentic Chinese food flavours. We are going again this weekend with a few more family members which means we can try more dishes. Am really looking forward to it!
We have booked by Zomato and just called to confirm, and it was ok. We ordered 4 plates, plus fried rice. Fast service, delicious plates. We brought 3 native Chinese students with us and the food was approved according to their Chinese taste, which make this experience even better. Staff were courteous and ready to answer any question. Surely, will come back anytime soon.
Simple cozy joint but probably our favourite chinese restaurant here in Hamilton. Staff are friendly but the only thing is restaurant opening times are a bit hit and miss so make you check in advance.

Been here about 5 years ago. That was my brother's wedding. It was so disappointed and never came back. We have been invited to a birthday party last week and the result was phenomenal. Great service, great food, everything is perfect. 5 stars from me!
We were on our way to Rotorua when we decided to pull over and have lunch at hamilton. Good thing we explored around and found this nice restaurant. This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants that we've been to in NZ. All of our orders were great and have a different taste of each dish. We ordered the roast pork ( to die for), green beans with olives and chicken mince, fried wanton, and yangzhou fried rice. My favorite is definitely the roast pork it was well cooked and the taste is really so nice. Give this a try if you're in the hamilton area! Highly recommended!
Staff and services are awesome. Very tasty and good amount per serving, it was all worth the money. However, the area gets too crowded and loud. Cheers

Absolutely amazing place. I have a lot of food allergies, and as a result we don't visit restaurants very often. I was apprehensive about this one as I'd never dined here before but the staff were amazing- they were very patient with us, and the chef even came out to verify what my allergies were and clarify what was being added to the food. It may seem very trivial to anyone who does not suffer from allergies, but it meant the world. Staff were friendly, food was delicious (even though the chef had to make a few alterations due to my allergies). I'd definitely come here again.
I love the roast duck on rice here. Very cheap for what you;re getting. Service is good. Tbh, you cant expect service to be as good as the western resutaraunts, thats just how it is in chinese resutaraunts. This place and Master House is the best chinese placwe in tron
My friends and I eat here all the time. Previously when Cathy owned it and still with the new owners. Is it flash? No, not really. But its super casual with great food and the BEST bit no corkage? Yes sometimes they muck up the orders but that just adds to the beauty of the place.
Sometimes you have to say things 3 times but again, it just adds to the authentic experience.

Firstly dumb mistake for the person below to buy 3 $25 vouchers at a restaurant you've never eaten at! Very stupid of you. Now for my review, staff are friendly - although limited english they are very friendly and delightful and smiley- and they do understand whatever I say to them - you just need to speak a little slower - which isn't that much of an effort. The food is sooooo good, and I love the interior, I always feel sooo at home! It's not a flashy ponsy place but the food is great and the tv makes me feel right at home except I'm eating much nicer food!
Generally very good food at an affordable price. Service is average but typical of most Chinese restaurants - certainly one of the more authentic around (much like Master House Restaurant used to be before it Westernised) and my family, co-workers and I often eat there if we feel like Chinese. Usually very quick with serving dishes unless the restaurant is packed. Would recommend this or Master Kong Restaurant on Victoria St (near the Rif Raf statue) as the best Chinese restaurant's in town.
4 of us shared lunch here 12.30pm Wednesday 22/11/2023; 2 vegetarian and 2 meat dishes with rice, all surprisingly tasty! Excellent service, especially as there was only one other customer (probably a regular) at that time. Food in style of northern/central China, not southern as suggested by name of restaurant. Very happy to recommend, and will visit again!

I've been here for several times and during my last visit found some positive changes👍I've noticed that they use new dishes, plates and cups for serving tea and main meals, and also tables looked much cleaner, so I was really enjoying the atmosphere and view around☺️☺️☺️
This time I've tried roast pork with chilli on rice, 14.8,not the lowest price for this meal in Hamilton but it was yammy, enough meat, rich taste👌
Moreover they have a new main menu, not lunch express menu,another one, it's new and looks modern, I liked it.😊😊😊
🔴Only one small thing need to be changed maybe, the edge of the plate was a bit chipped, can spoil the impression for the customers.

The service is pleasant if slightly lacking and the atmosphere is alright.
Wonderful food as always we started with wontons and spring rolls which were both very good then for the main we shared roast duck rice noodles, lamb black bean and a beef mixed vegetable dish
The noodle dish was very good with a rich broth, the noodles had a slight chew and the duck was perfect.
My mother seid the lamb black bean was the best she's had in over 30 years which is a big complement as she always orders black bean when it's on a menu.
As for the beef mixed vegetable dish the meat was cooked perfectly and the sauce on it was delicious but the veg was almost entirely bok choy I think there was maybe half a carrot mixed in and what I believe was seaweed. So even though it was a good dish we would have liked if it had alittle less bok choy and alittle more of the other veg.
Oh and of course we had to get some roast duck on rice to take home for lunch the next day.

we love this restaurant. they just changed new floor that makes the environment cleaner. The food were as good as usual and we got a free dish of duck wins.
Spicy tofu soup is great so does the the duck and pancake most things is good but i reckon the BBQ pork is to sweet.
The duck is the best in Hamilton and they do lots of other very nice dishes. I particularly recommend the stir-fry beans.... My daughter's favourite!
One thing to be aware of it isn't obvious that this place is open. It is and it is worth checking out!!!

We were walking around town tonight when we stumbled across this restaurant. It was very quiet so our order was taken right away.
They staff were very lovely and attentive.
Our entree came out after our mains, but it was all very quick so I cannot complain. The portion size is huge! We had the cashew chicken and satay beef. We love both of these dishes!
