Just finished one big family pack and it's the best I've ever had.... everything was so tasty, fresh and chips are crispy... worth every penny... lovely staff..clean and tidy place...simply the best

Used to be the best family owned fish and chip shop in the area but had a change of owners about a year ago and while the food is still better than the average fish and chip shop the atmosphere is different and there is a grumpy and at times rather unwelcoming lady there that sours the experience. The food at Oxford Takeaways is consistently fresh & delicious .The batter they use is very light so the flavour of the food stands out. They ask you once how you like your eggs - hard or runny, how you like your toasted sandwiches - soft or crunchy and then every time you go there you get perfectly
The quality of the fish & chips was good. Both were tasty & crispy & not greasy. The place was busy but it didn't feel like a long wait for the food. If in Hamilton & wanting good fish & chips, I would recommend this place.
Best fish & chips in Hamilton, we drive across town to get them. Our recent meal we had the most yummy tharaki, super fresh and fresh scallops. Always yummy chips too. Recommend 😊
