Really good place. Very good customer service. The portions were really big. The crispy pork ribs was delicious.
Eat here all the time . Food is good and no waiting time. Not the prettiest place but does the job. Nice teas and cold beer. Good value for money.
My partner and I checked out this place for a date night overall we had a delicious meal and friendly service. Definitely recommend for big groups.
Good price. Service is ok but I think the staffs should speak English instead of Chinese when they see any Asian customers. Food is ok. I recommend the roasted ducks.
A great YumCha place in Hamilton. Not necessarily the best place I've had but will definitely cure your YumCha cravings! Have been there a few times and will go again some time soon. However, it can get quite busy and crowded.
I come here regularly and have never been disappointed. My must have dishes are the round beans, the Peking ribs, Siu Mai, Honey ribs and the combination fried noodles. Most, if not all, dishes are consistently good.
Been here a few times and this is the only yum-char place that our family normally go to in Hamilton. The restaurant could feel grubby sometimes but they provide great food. We especially love the prawn dumplings, taro dumplings, turnip cake, prawn cheong fun, Siu mai, char siu pao, long beans and durian balls. The staff may or may not be personable but they are efficient with the food orders most of time. Will still visit this place.
So many choices of dishes, quite traditional Cantonese cuisine, and the same as the service. Stuff there is nice, the soups are awesome as special material are used, fresh and yum
Had yumcha this morning and the food taste so good. Quite busy and a lot of tables were being left dirty, but we still could get the foods that we want without waiting for too long
Our go-to place for quick Chinese treat. Their Yang Chow had a very strong wok flavor and generous toppings of vegetables, meat, and seafood.
One of my staple dishes here is the Salt and Pepper Squid. You can't go wrong with this dish. The squid had a very chewy texture coated with a fluffy batter. The spices that went through it were undeniably complementing to the overall taste of the dish. Delish!
Delicious !!! I've tried anything and everything on this menu and it was always delicious! I've been so many times and the quality is always very consistent. The only bummer is that not all the staff can speak English but, with the language barrier they are still reasonably pleasant. Love love love.
My husband and i dined here during our visit fir Hamilton. Good ambience. Good food and good value for money. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Fast and efficient service. Would recommend to others.
Great value for money, yummy Chinese food. Reasonable portion sizes which are good for sharing. Clean and tidy restaurant and good service. We had a combination of yumcha and many dishes and the flavours were authentic and delicious
As a family of 6 we found Victor's Place Yum Cha great value for money and loads of good food options. Ordering from the kitchen also provided a greater choice and the Sweet & Sour pork in particular is very good. Kids are great fans of the ice-cream ball for dessert! Staff are generally ok, if you happen to be there when Victor is present it is better and staff are more attentive. Food is available immediately so great for a quick lunch, seems popular with business-people and local retail workers and the Asian community, which is a pretty good sign that they are doing it right. Decor is a bit tired, but undeniably good value for money.
I have been here a few times and always come out with mixed feelings. The staff are friendly but so busy that you almost feel guilty for asking them too many questions. The food is good and love getting things off the trolley. But a lot of it is unidentifiable, well to me at least. Also ordering from the kitchen is an option and very tasty. It is just that the place doesn't seem spotless clean. It could be the plastic tables or the high turn over. But good for lunch after a morning of shopping.
Our family really enjoy coming to Victor's Place. We find the staff friendly and the food always tastes delicious. If we can't see what we need on the trolleys, then the staff always place an order with the kitchen so our children aren't waiting a long time for their favourite things, which we really appreciate. :-) We often take friends and family too.
The food here is good and it's a fun relaxing environment to have dinner with friends. Kitchen service is very prompt but some times the wait staff aren't friendly.
It's definitely not a bad place to eat yum cha. But again, it's also not the best place.

We went there for yum char. Definitely one of the better chinese restaurant in Hamilton. But their yum char can still improve. The high chair provided was wet and dirty from previous use. Staff was friendly.
For NZ, this is a great Chinese food restaurant. I was very impressed of the traditional Chinese touch to all the dishes. Also they were not salty as so many are in the area and they used trad spices and mushrooms/fungus. I appreciate Victor's choice in chefs and keeping the food true to Chinese cuisine as that makes the place a bit special. I am vegetarian and was able to eat there fine. They also do not use MSG for those of you who may be allergic. I only suggest that they try to include some Malay and Indonesian dishes that have been Chinese influenced such as Gado Gado with lemon grass and some coconut curry Malay dishes as I think this would broaden their menu for those who like to adventure a bit. I highly recommend this place.
Went at about 11:10am and the place just opened however they had some food under the heat lamps which we were allow to grab ourselves. Ordered the Roast Duck on Rice for $8.50 (what a bargain!) Was a very large portion. Barely could eat anything else. The steam cooked goodies arrived soon after in those trolleys. They looked good however was too full from the rice. Would definielty recommend
We got invited by a friend to this restaurant. The meals are.mostly Asian like Malaysian Chinese but also the atmosphere and the surroundings is like you are in Asia. We went upstairs to our right. There is also a conference centre and bar at Victoria's Place. The food was delicious and the service was great for me. We thought the price was reasonable. I do not know if there is a lift for the physically challenged community. We ate heartily and still managed to take our leftovers meals away. The biggest challenge is finding a car park in central Hamilton. It is not the establishment's fault. I just want to warn you about parking. It is better to arrive early to find a car park. Enjoy your meals
FUSION Rating - 110% the best restaurant i have ever went to. The most exquisite meal my family and I have ever had, staff were very attentive, welcoming and so lovely. The chef was amazing in the quality of food that was produced and delivered. Absolutely 5 stars for Fusion. We definitely will be back 💗
My youngest daughter has always loved Yum Cha since she was tiny. She used to insist on going to a place where your feet stuck to the floor but that got knocked down.
We were all sad puppies for a while until we discovered Victors. I know nothing about Chinese food, but the team at Victors deliver little baskets of deliciousness every time.
For us it's like Groundhog Day. My wife and daughter order the exact same things each and every time and like clockwork they come out just as lovely as the last time.
I can't recommend this place enough if you want a friendly, busy, enormously menu-ed chinese restaurant where you can seemingly eat your own body weight and still emerge with only a tint scratch on your credit card.

Omg, shock of my life when I went to my favourite Asian restaurant to find that it had been closed down. I live in Auckland and was travelling to HAMILTON and thought, ‘Yassss! Victor’s for lunch. Was almost heartbroken when I saw that the restaurant had been closed! At the moment, I flicked through my Snapchat stories and found that my cousin had been snapping images at the restaurant that appeared to have closed 14 hours before and I’m like, ‘yoohooo, have they relocated?!’ and she confirmed and gave me the new address! I was a happy lil camper and found my appetite had returned. Victor - you need to mention on your website that you’ve changed address k...? Otherwise people may think you’ve completely closed down... but because I’m a loyal customer, I sorted that out for you. Patrons - The new reastaunt (if you haven’t been yet) is an intimate setup, with an exposed kitchen that allows customers to see what goes on when their order is being prepared. It does have a few flights of stairs to reach the restaurant, but once you’re there - order up! My favourite dish is the string beans - highly recommended! I can eat that on its own for a meal. Check out the website for the entire menu A+. If you’re on a wheelchair - bring a young person to carry you up

The yum cha option were great, especially the dumplings, dim sum, sesame balls and durian. 5/5 stars.
Also got their bbq, which the whole family found it to be god awful, both in texture as well as taste.
Really delicious food, great place for kids especially in the upstairs part - there is a kids playing area. The karaoke booths looked cool too, will have to go back for that!
