Wonderful inviting character lodge feel with stone fireplace. Food and service was great. Hubby had the 'Flintstone' steak and said it was the best steak he'd ever had!
Firstly, I've given this review before even finishing my dining experience here purely because I want to show my appreciation for our waiter, Hayden, who has already been an absolute legend and made a great first impression for us at this establishment. In terms of pricing, I had expected everything
Came in with a group of 10 last minute on a Saturday night to see if they had a table. They had one free and we're happy for us to come in. Staff were friendly and helpful, food took a while to arrive but everyone seems relatively happy with their food. The menu is bigger than other Five Stags I've
Dined here last night and we were all very impressed. The lamb was outstanding and the burgers were delicious. The service was great even though they were very busy and the waiters let us know before we ordered that there was a wait time of 30 mins or so. Great value for money and a lovely setting.
Great place for having a meal. Reservation is highly recommended. Nice beer, we tried Mac Gold. Their Flintstone steak is great in taste and presentation. Only con here is the dish for pork rib served in melamine dish thus only 4 stars given.
Loved this place! It's next to the hotel we stayed at so we had our breakfast here which was delicious and coffee was great. It's just got an awesome feel when you're here with super friendly staff, great decor and good food. Definitely recommend coming here 😊
There's so much character in this bar. Felt like a hunting lodge with the roaring fire. Nice big windows to see outside (pity it was too cold to sit outside). What we really liked about it though was the friendly staff. The bar staff were so helpful when we were deciding on wines and they were knowl
Was very hesitant to visit the restaurant after reading some negative reviews. We had an amazing experience here, and were utterly blown away by the service as well as high quality, tasty food. The chef clearly has attention to detail and is very experienced. We shared the calamari platter with slaw
We had the venison burger, fettuccine pasta, cheesy chips, cheesy garlic bread, pork ribs and the lamb shank, we werent able to have dessert as the food was that great and filling. Both nights were really awesome highly recommend and really cool staff and very fairly priced. We had breakfast here on
Absolutely brilliant service from both of the lads on tonight one by the name Hayden the other I’m unsure of his name but he was the manager . Managed to get us in to the hotel at a great rate and were very accommodating to my partner on his birthday, so that was lovely as well. Food was fantastic a
26/4/2023 Brilliant service, Brilliant meals. We celebrate a 21st at Five Stags, and would recommend to all my friends and family. Then returned on 20/5/23 through to the 23/5/23. I got the Cajun chicken, Pork ribs, and also the breakfast. Wow it was so amazing i would highly recommend it. All the s
Rustic ambience just the way we love it. Great share platter (blue cheese sauce needs the packed punch flavour of the cheese that was amiss). Sticky date pudding was nice and warm. The décor just got me. Encore is probably what I would say!
Delicious meals, we ordered the Pan fried salmon with steam vegies and mushroom sauce, this meal was all cooked perfectly and delicious! We also ordered the share platter, the calamari was either cooked too fast or too high as the outside was brown and crispy but very mushy inside. The chicken was a
Large area that is the bar and dining area. Yes, there are 5 stag heads mounted and hung on the wall. Rustic and full of atmosphere. Welcoming staff with a ready smile. Cocktails are yummm. The S & P calamari was a nice entree to share. Tender and tasty. The duck was accompanied with lovely fresh
Five Stags Restaurant Hamer Springs is a cosy, friendly and delicious place to spend an evening. The onion rings are superb, and I strongly recommend being there for happy hour, 4-6pm, $6 pints! There's a lovely grassed beer garden out the front with a fantastic view of the mountains in the distance
Went there for breakfast and couldn’t fault it. Incredibly friendly helpful staff, very tidy and a lovely atmosphere. Had the eggs Benedict and breakfast burger and both were wonderful. Well cooked and thick slices of salmon with the eggs benny and perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. The breakfast b
Absolutely worth a visit! I think they have the only happy hour in town (every day from 4-6), so they get extra points for that...why not grab yourself a $6 beer?? And, I was happy to see vegetarian options. The falafel burger was great. They also have nice outdoor seating options and friendly staff
