Fantastic place. At first it seemed expensive as I didn't know what I'd get. But after food was given to me, the location, the quality and quantity of food made all the sender in the world. Best Souvlaki in Hanmer Springs. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back when going to be there again.

I went past the previous day and it smelt so good that I had to go and give it a try. The food is well presented and tasty. We ordered the snack basket, chicken souvlaki and beef souvlaki. It's kind of like a kebab, but different. Great service. Eat in or takeaway available
Love the souvlaki!!! Definitely one of the best I have tried. Nice and cozy place to have dinner after a day of spa and water slides. 👍🏻

Had takeaway salads from here last night. The chicken salad was very tasty with chicken that was well cooked. There was perhaps a little too much vinaigrette but not a deal breaker. The fries were hot and tasty.
Good portion, tasted great. Only suggestion is that to spread the meat and salad evenly with the souvlaki. Top part shows abundant of meat and the bottom half are all veggies.
We wanted a change from the normal pub food around Hanmer Springs. Tried Petra and was not disappointed. Son and wife ordered the falafel souvlaki which was delicious and generous. Huge feast, really delicious and generous servings. The mixed meats were all yum, and my partner was super pleased with the falafels. Really needed something with salad this holiday and this really hit the spot, very fresh and tasty. Oh and the chips were good nice and crunchy :)
Super good quality. The ingredients are as fresh as they can get. I am Greek - used to souvlaki and I can safely vouch for this place. What is more, the portions are pretty massive for the same or better price of most other places in the area. Highly recommended!
Lovely little shop that serves up huge plates of fresh, delicious food! The owner is always friendly and welcoming. We visit every time we're in Hanmer for a good feed 😋

Food was delicious. I initially thought that it's pricey but when I got my order I found it was worth my money. Had to wait a little however good food can take time.
Lovely owner and great food at reasonable prices. Had a great yarn about the staffing shortages in this mountain spa town. 1 of a kind in NZ. All cafes suffering staffing issues. The Spa seems to attract large numbers of local youth. Nonetheless I was served and meal on my table in double quick time
