Had a caramel latte and mocha, coffee was ok but quite milky, also shared the wedges between two of us, plenty of topping (sour cream and sweet chilli with bacon and cheese) they were lush!
Just ate the best fish (hoki) and chips we've had in years! 😀 Well worth the drive to get there, shame about the weather. Glad we settled for the smaller portions, as there was more than enough on the plates to satisfy our appetites. What a find, a real treasure.
food is very pricey for the sizing. This is the only place you can buy anything from , they have done the place up nicely so it's a lovely place to eat & enjoy the view.
Just back from a delightful lunch with 10 friends. Sitting on the deck on the best day in Autumn , watching the boats and the fishermen was sublime.
One of the best fish and chip plates, very reasonably priced, helpful hosts, and who can ask for more.
Well worth the trip to the Kaipara.
Great food. Friendly service. Large open seating area with a great view

Relaxing spot, stunning views, lovely staff, generous food portions.
Food a bit greasy, some more plantbase options would be good.
Have to comment on the public toilets...so clean, cute native tiles place among the while tile. Huge mobility impaired shower available. Super impressed.
The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Service was a little slow, but this was forgiven due to covid and the fact that the place was busy.
Really pleasant to sit on the front deck and watch the boats going in and out. Definitely worth a trip up to Shelley Beach for lunch
We stopped in here on our bike ride and had 2 long blacks and a chocolate brownie. Brownie was delicious and moist and served with fresh cream. Coffee also perfect. The best part was enjoying them outside with the amazing view. Staff were friendly, would definitely return
Lovely food and service in this waterview Cafe with very good potion&price, sitting in a beautiful and tranquil town☕️🌤🏖
I was a guest on the Kaipara River boat cruise and we stopped over at Shelly Beach from 12-2pm. I probably should not have listened to the Captain who told our crew not to all rush to the Jetty cafe for lunch to avoid a long queue. So I patiently went for a walk to explore and came back to the cafe just after 1pm. They were still super busy even after an hour and I was told I could only order chips because they wouldn't have enough time to get the orders out before the boat left. I was so disappointed, the food looked good but unfortunately I didn't get to order the hoki fish I really wanted to try. Really nice atmosphere with friendly staff and great beach views. Probably would have been 5 stars if I actually got my order in, oh well.
