Popodoms with take away 😊
Serving one of the best butter chicken and goat curry. The staffs are friendly and accomodating in person and through phone calls. Highly recommended.
When my family and I feel like take out Indian we choose this place. Delicious curries, always hot. Cheap if you sunday-thursday I believe. Fast and friendly service :)
In despite of the location, it is a nice place. They are able to cook a wonderful butter chicken and other dishes. They have a good loyalty card and good customer service. If you want nice Indian food this is your place for sure!
Had 5 currys ( mango hockey, butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, lamb saag, and lamb madras) ordered last night and a selection of kheema, garlic, and plain naan bread. For $10 a curry they were very good quality for money, I would appreciate a bit more meat in the currys but other than that the meat was tender and juicy.
We had lunch in this restaurant recently. We ordered the Rogan Josh (beef) and Badami Goshi (lamb). The taste was good and the service was friendly. My only comment is the Badami Goshi was just curry but lack of meat. Though it was only a $10.00 meal, I would expect to have some quatity of lamb. Apart from this I still think it's still good to give it a try if you are thinking of a valued Indian meal.
Formerly Simply Spice, but now under new management, I've recently returned here for a few meals.
The hot chicken tikka masala was somewhat disappointing as it lacked any real flavour but the hot beef vindaloo and hot butter chicken were well spiced and very tasty.
Strangely, the chicken tikka doesn't come on a sizzling platter unless it's the main size (apparently they were worried that it looks small on their platters) so the cabbage and onion bed doesn't get cooked and nicely crisped up. There's no tamarind sauce with it either but they're happy to give you some if asked.
We had the pleasure of warming our bellies and souls here a few nights ago. I felt the NEED to review Kohinoor because we enjoyed it so much. We dined on Tuesday so our curry's were $10. We ordered Lamb Korma, Butter Chicken and the daily special which was Goat Curry. All the dishes were so delicious with authentic flavours. We also had 2 entree's which were an explosion of taste & texture. The most enjoyable part of our evening was the service. It was of the highest standard we've ever experienced. We will definitely be regular customers.
Definitely the best Indian around. Great prices and authentic flavours. Usually go for a quick takeaway lunch which never disappoints, thoroughly enjoy. Thanks
Best food for a cheap price! Authentic flavors, Will return surely to try other variety of foods. Orders are freshly made for takeaways and the quantity is best. Hope they keep this standard and it would go a long way for them.
Curries are great with 10 dollar mains. Not sure how long the can sustain this price though. Not bad if you are in the area.. But not somewhere I would necessarily travel to from across town... There are plenty of good curry places around.
A nice and compact Indian place in this suburb. Ambience is fair - awkward music videos play in the background. Staff is courteous and friendly. Food is nice.
Dined here last night. We ordered Malai Kofta, lamb nawabi and keema naan.
Both dishes were full of flavour and delicious. I particularly like the Malai Kofta. The sauce is similar to a korma sauce.
Very good. We mainly have takeaways from here. For $10 a curry you get generous amounts of meat. Very good value.
I love this place the food is hot and fresh. Being pregnant means I must to eat fresh!!! So if your looking for a yummy Indian lunch/dinner I highly suggest you try this place. Friendly staff, Clean, fresh hot food its not one of those places where the food is kept in heaters all day long it is cooked to order so its a 5 out of 5 from me. I hope you enjoy the food as much as me :)
Pleasantly surprised by the curries we ate from here. Tasty and excellent value. I will def go back. Not really a dinner eat in place but as a takeaway curry it's perfect. Lovely owners also. I had the butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala with plain and garlic naans, finished my plate of yum with some delicious onion bhaji. No complaints about anything.
Absolutely delicious. Finally a decent Indian restaurant out west. Food is amazing and cheap and they definitely know how to fill your plate. $10 for any main and trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Best nan in west Auckland, so fluffy and squishy! I had a butter paneer, it was so so good! We are usually chapati people but after tonight we are totally converting! Thanks so much!
Service was perfect, food was perfect, huge portions. Loved every bit of it. Best curry I have ever had. Really good value for money. We will be back :)
This is one of the three Indian Restaurant I often visit for some good and tasty Indian food. I have been to this place a couple of time. But since the covit lockdown, only takeaway is offered. Now sit down dining is back. Overall the food is tasty and the taste has been consistent throughout. Service is quick and friendly. No parking problem. If you like Indian food don't miss Kohinoor.

Fantastic place we always get our curry from. Busy place too esp their takeaway orders. Always a treat their butter chicken and fish curry! Try their pakoras too. Nice owner and chef. Knows us by name and very friendly. Would suggest they upgrade their interiors as its already dated. Still, a fantastic place.
Not the best group of shops out west BUT this place was a true gem. The food was really good. The seatong was good and atmosphere good. They had music playing in the background. The owner recommended a lamb dish ranagost or something like that. I will never go back to rogan josh again.... good food, good service pleasant surroundings and great company... Mani and Piyush🤣🤣🤣 Definitely recommend....
Genuinely good authentic Indian. We found this place by accident but it is now our go-to. Authentic takes on the classics like butter chicken with optional bone-in chicken and amazing lesser-known delicious curries. Definitely worth a try. And they deliver for a reasonable fee.
ONE OF THE BEST INDIAN RESTAURANTS IN WEST AUCKLAND
FRESH HOT AND DELICIOUS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
THE SERVICE IS AMAZING VERY KIND PEOPLE
ATMOSPHERE IS CHILL
THANK YOU
😊
One of the best butterchickens in the game. Friendly staff quick to order with decent english. They serve alcohol of you like. Dining in is a good option a little small inside but is certainly adequate. Plenty of pakring outside. No outdoor dining. Also they are one of the only indian places ive seen with a order online option with delivery.
Had the daily special and a cheese garlic naan. Both were fantastic. Maybe the best cheese garlic naan i have had.
Additionally, father and son are just lovely people.
Thanks for the great experience
One of our favorite place for delicious food. The owner of the restaurant is so welcoming and nice.
Normally Indian food is such a gamble for me - but this place was absolutely stellar!!
Food tasted as good as it looked (bombay aloo, tikka masala, naan, and samosas were so good!! They have great combo meals for certain days of the week); prices were also super solid (Indian tends to be on the high side price wise), and service was lovely.
Would definitely make the effort to come here again, pretty much one of the few embodiments of why I love the foodie life😂💕
Always happy with the quality and level of spiciness! Good portion and great price as well. They're usually busy at dinner time, and we won't expect fast food timing from here.
Amazing Indian food and such a lovely staff. Our favorite
Never disappointed. Super fast delivery also.
Currently my favourite Indian restaurant for takeaway nights. Food is good, some nights are better than others but I've never been disappointed. The restaurant is small but it has a warm and cosy atmosphere. Delivery option is convenient. I've only had food delivered once but it arrived quickly and was still hot.
