Well lit venue with plenty of seats and a decent amount of space behind you between tables. That being said though, would still recommend booking in advance anyway. Very polite and attentive staff, you'll get service faster and with less hassle than you would other Chinese restaurants. Food is excellent even the oily dishes aren't so heavy. It's on the pricier end but a fair cost for the quality of party of flavours dancing in your mouth. Recommend their shark fin fried rice and beef with more mushrooms.

Found this gem early this year and one of the best yum cha the city has to offer. Unlike establishments in the city, Mr Lobster offers it’s guest a wonderful variety of yum cha that’s freshly prepared, full of flavour and generous with quality ingredients used (not loaded with carbs just to fill you up!). Even the tea that’s served has generous tea leaves that doesn’t make it watered down even after 4-5 top ups - what a treat compared to many other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to. Every dish was immaculate - was hard to pick a favourite!! We were a part of 4 and food ordered was more than sufficient - even with some left over for take away. Be sure to book beforehand to secure a table - they do 2 seatings at 1030 or 12 on Saturday Slightly more expensive than other joints, a meal here is still very much worth it as it nourishing and filling. Great service too, restaurant is clean.

The staff members are friendly, patience, and accommodating. Their food are unique. Some have stunning designs, and all are flavourful. So far is the most expensive yum char in Auckland, especially their signature dishes; but it's made to impress your eyes as well as your taste buds. They also have yum char dishes that are priced competitively, but still full of flavours. A new favourite yum char place for my family.

龙虾意面 Lobsters 🦞 noodles, the noodles were so good!!! Better than lobster palace and Zen E I reckon 😂 love their 椒鹽龍蝦 deep fried salt & pepper lobster too!! Peking duck is legit good 😝 black pepper charcoal lamb is pretty legit too!

First time here. Place was crazy busy. Food was on point. Great portions, decent service. Order via QR code for yum cha. A tad pricey compared to other yum cha locations around Auckland I've been to. 4.5 out of 5 my rating. Recommended.

Yum char was a bit more expensive than usual, but really fun with the creative presentation. It's a nice place to bring visitors, good idea to book though!

Great place for yum cha! The beef tendon is my fav. Parking during weekends can be a bit tricky as this area is very crowded

We really enjoyed yumcha here. Everything is really nice. The only comment I have is that they wrapped veges in the Ja Leung which was... A weird idea 🤣 don't know what they were thinking. Who ever came up with it did not think it through 🤷 It just didn't go well together. Think of something else to put in it or make a longer yau ja gwai please. No need to be fancy about Ja Leung... sprinkle some sesame or something instead

Would have been 5* if the abalone was braised longer, too tough. Also, noodles portion was very small, please be more generous.

First time to eat here with my family. Location was not hard to find and had car parking close to it. Food was really delicious. Vegetable dish we had tasted really fresh and all the rest of what we ordered met our expectations. Staff had excellent customer service and let us stayed till their closing time. The staff and the level of service and in this particular one can"t fault it, they are always attentive, happy and even when rushed off their feet at busy times they manage to maintain that great service. Will be back again to sample the rest of the dishes in their menu. The whole restaurant is clean , tidy and has a nice dining atmosphere. So overall i would highly recommend here for dinner (because I went in for dinner) . Keep up the fantastic service and food Mr Lobster!!
