These guys have the biggest size pieces of fish I have ever gotten at a takeaways. Very delicious too.

We had fish and chips. Fish was lovely if a little too thick with batter. Chips were good.
It also offers Chinese food off menu and smorgasbord. Chinese food is simple but well cooked and not greasy. Portions are generous.

Just wanted to put good feedback as the owners, Stanley and his family are just such lovely people who take good pride in what they do.
Today, someone who I will avoid name calling, decided to take my order even though I called out twice it was mine, my dad also did too. They then proceeded to eat it with their group next to us going "oh I wonder what this burger is, I don't think I ordered this fish, cool!" As we sat in total disbelief.
Anyways, Stanley (who is a total legend) recooked our whole order, remade a burger that had been handled a lot/was somehow squished and passed over to me (with nothing else, no apology either, just a flattened handled burger). They blamed the owner even though he clearly said what the order had in it.
But yeah, although we had to wait an hour, absolutely not his fault. He took a financial hit in having to recook an order from scratch. Sadly people the right thing tend to have to pay for people doing the wrong thing.
Anyways thanks Stanley, you are an absolute gem and I appreciate how much care you put into what you do. Will definitely be back.

Great little Chinese takeaways with good value family packs. The chinese food was amazing, beautifully cooked and full of flavour and very generous portions. Just a shame that it was so slow in being made, took 45mins to get 4 dishes

My daughter & I bought a range of takeaways this evening on our way back to Kerikeri. They were well priced, arrived after only a short wait, and were very fresh and delicious. Staff were friendly too. Highly recommended.
Hika takeaways is always good when our family wants a lazy night. They usually have your order done in 15 minutes and they are super friendly. We love the fish bites and spring rolls.
Don’t be fooled by the exterior. Inside lurks some of the greatest won tons and Chinese food. Fresh tasty and generous portions.
And all at very reasonable prices. Check out their specials too, they really have decent savings
Bloody Awesome Wontons!!!!! I went here again and in fact I keep going back again and again, my son rekons there golden chips are "up there", fun fact: they make the biggest won tons in all of new zealand 🇳🇿 also they give the portion of chips almost double in size here. Massive shout outs!!!!
Best battered mussels ever. Pretty cheap too. Got 3 fish 1 scoop of chips 9 battered mussels and 3 prawn twisters for $27. Their chinese is pretty damn good as well.
Chicken fried noodles wer nice and massive portion sizes witch is good. Will be back to try the fish and chips.
