Been here a couple of times and never been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and great service. It’s very clean and food tastes Devine will definitely be coming more often

Why on earth would you go to Saimese Doll when you have this tried and true Thai on your doorstep!
Not only are all the food portions more substantial and much better value – its all served with a smile and genuine friendly attitude which makes dining there even more of a pleasure.
The decor is clean and stylish.
We gorged ourselves on juicy prawn spring rolls $10, buffalo chicken wings which were more meaty than your usual ‘wings’ including drumstick and My Darling says are some of the best he’s had $9.50, Golden Sizzler ginger chicken stirfry $24.50, and a mountain of Royal fried rice with crab and prawn $24.50. The white rice was served in the shape of a heart and $2 per person – I’m pretty sure this is unlimited but we didn’t need seconds, there was soooo much food already ;)
The great thing about #GoldenSilk is its BYO! So pop next door to the Trusts liquor store and get yourself a nice Riesling to wash it all down with. This combo of sweet wine and fresh flavours is so good I guzzled half a bottle all to myself!
Me and My Darling were in a food frenzy by now and I had to go one step further when I saw they had banana fritters on the menu, making me salivate remembering the Thai street food carts who made these fritters on the spot and served them with some sort of creamy condensed milk/custard concoction that made them irresistible… I had to have one!
What was presented to us was beyond my wildest expectations… the freshest banana with the crispiest golden tempura-type batter, lightly deep fried… and I felt like and excited 6 year old when I saw the scoop of pretty pink coloured toasted coconut and marshmallow ice-cream decadently dressed with whipped cream, hundreds and thousands and dollops of strawberry and chocolate syrup!!!! : O : O Heavenly! A bargain for $8.50.

If your looking for some Thai food in the hobby area then look no further that golden Silk! Favourite ol classic pad Thai is amazing among the rest which is also very good. Funny staff make you feel warm and welcomed and the takeaway is also very quick. No complaints here!
I haven't been into the restaurant as I usually order using UberEats. I always get the green curry and am never disappointed. Ordered again tonight and I haven't tasted one quite like this. Plenty of food for the money, just be sure to get extra rice and cashews (if you like them)
You could argue that you could buy a premium pizza and have it delivered for about the same price from elsewhere, but you'll most likely feel gross afterwards.

This restaurant is one of my favorite place where is located my main work area.
Especially i like the price for lunch special.all food is good price as much the quality and service.
I like the lunch-time menu and my order today was Yum Nua - Thai beef salad with garden salad in lemon sauce. Very nice and tasty. Pleasant service.

First thing that greeted us here when we came in was a friendly smile. Outright fantastic service from the start. The entree spring rolls was really good. The fried rice surprisingly delicious. The trademark pad Thai held its ground among the best ones we've tasted. Gotta say we were pretty full when we finished. Some left over takeaways too. Lovely 😍 thank you!

We have been to the Kumeu branch several times but this is the first time at Hobsonville. The staff are very friendly and greeted us with a warm smile. Drinks, Entree and Mains all arrived quickly. Wait staff took our photo and was very helpful. We like this place and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes authentic Thai food

An incredible restaurant featuring delightful, attentive and responsive staff. Plus, the dishes were extremely fair portions for their cost, brought out in good time, and left us desiring to return and try other plates.
A good local. Have had some great meals as takeaways. Staff are good when you dinner in. A good expanse of flavours.

We were here for lunch mid week. A table for four. Service was excellent, the food was very nice and the menu selection appeared to be quite extensive. The meal prices were very reasonable too. The wine and beer list was well chosen for the occasion. It is a restaurant that you could easily return to with friends and be confident about returning.
Amazing thai green curry with reasonable prices
Went to dinner tonight to celebrate my 10th wedding anniversary. The welcome w sgreat. We all know how covid 19 has affected the hospitality industry but these guys did well. It was a busy evening. Calm, warm and great atmosphere.
We had fish cakes and prawn spring rolls for starters which was nice then for dinner we had lamb rack and pad Thai. Nice sauce for the lamb but the pad Thai was a bit or much sauce.
Afterwards, there was a couple of pākeke celebrating their birthday. The host was very kind and surprised them all with a cake and candles. This was a very special moment especially when they ( birthday person) wa snot expecting it. I really had a goid time here and we all sung and clapped as we joined in celebration, 89 years old. A very special evening.
I will be definitely going back again. Loved it. Tha k yoh to the host. The lady and men servi g were very sweet and make each guest feel at home. Tha k you so much Golden silk Hobsonville.
Beautiful red curry duck leg and scallops. Nice staff n modern decor. Nothing to complaint except for slightly expensive prices which is a common feature among Thai restaurants.
