Beautiful and vibrant brunch cafe with mass selection of cabinet treats of cheesecakes to gourmet pastries.
Ample parking as it's located next to New World's Hobsonville. The cafe seating can get quite cramped as there seem to be tables for large groups and tables fill up very quickly and can take some time for it to turnover
Their menu has options to cater to most dietary requirements including vegan options.
We tried the beef rib, and the mushroom toast. Portions are considered large for the price and food come out fast enough. Both dishes are very flavourful with Asian elements to it.
Overall environment can get cramped and cleaniness of the cafe is high though the bathroom cleaniness is average.
Delicious food, generous portions, and good price. Got kids omelet, porridge, and eggs Benedict with bacon. Friendly staff, and quick on coffees and food.
Will definitely be coming back.
Me and Hubby revisited this cafe today and it was just as good as the first time we came. We shared the Creamy mushrooms and French toast. Service was quick and staff friendly. Happy to let you know their favourite things on the menu and in the cabinet. Bit pricey but portion sizes make up for that. Sweet treats are nicely packaged for you to take home. We took a Snickers and a Chocolate cake for after dinner.
Will be coming back again soon.
My son took me here for lunch, I had the chicken with Asian salad and twirly chips! It was delicious! Staff were very friendly and service was fast! Will definitely go back again.
Lunch Monday 1.30pm
The place was not busy and had a fair amount of seating available.
It was clean, tidy, cosy and not to bustling. Noise level wasn't epic so you could have a conversation.
It was a good cafe, The reason specifically for my lower rating on food was the options for vegetarians. There were a few but not a huge amount.
I would recommend this for more the cabinet food with a coffee or smoothie rather than a sit down and eat occasion. If you have dietary requirements check out the menu first. In saying that the omni food that went past did look amazing.
Lower rating on service as some things came that were incorrect. The staff member did correct bread from regular to gluten free bread, thankfully before it was eaten along with a non-vegan sauce to tomato sauce.
Overall a very nice place
Wow what an experience. From start to finish, we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Kneads Cafe. Staff were friendly and greeted us warmly, the cafe was bustling and the atmosphere was great. Food was on another level compared to most cafes, the French toast was particularly amazing. They use Supreme coffee beans which are my personal fave and the smoothie was made from actual fruit rather than a syrup. Just a lot of nice touches that were appreciated. Will be adding this to our regular coffee stop!
The French toast was presented in the most beautiful way possible and the taste was impressive. Not overly sweet or greasy. It also had a small portion of burnt caramel panna cotta/custard and a dollop cream/cottage cheese on top. Some almond thins added a layer of crunchy texture to the dish. 10/10 would recommend!
Definitely one of my favorite local cafe. I have try every single dish on the menu. No matter what u pick from the menu, you will be amazed!
This is such a lovely cafe! The food was exceptional, portions were good and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a mocha and French toast which was delicious and very well presented. The staff also asked about allergens and have a variety of vegan and keto options. My partner had the buttermilk fried chicken and it was cooked perfectly. We will be back for sure!!
The cafe is visible from Hobsonville Road and is located in front of the New World. I ended up parking in the New World car park and headed up the stairs to get to the cafe.
They have a large cabinet with lots of tasty delights on offer and they also have an a la carte menu. I decided to eat in so I ordered french toast as well as a hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was nice. The french toast was very interesting. The toast itself was a huge slice of brioche so it was quite light and airy. The caramel flan was more like a panna cotta to me with its pudding like texture. The different components around gave different flavours and textures which made it interesting. I quite liked the crumb.
I ended up grabbing a double chocolate brownie for takeaway. I found it was quite cakey and was a bit dry. It had a strong dark chocolate flavour though.
What a exceptional experience, the cheese cake here is the best I have ever had in New Zealand . The staff here is amazing polite and welcoming .
A bright spacious cafe with good coffees and a large glass cabinet sandwich/scone/muffin selection. A small cooked meals menu, which were well executed (lovely flavours and plating).
Delicious food and coffee, went for a Saturday brunch with my son and husband, the kids menu isn't overly extensive or exciting so we got him a cheese and spinach scone and he nibbled bits off our plates which he loved doing and we didn't mind. We got the fried chicken with the hashtag fries. Yum! (although the turmeric bread was a little dry). We also got the Brioche French toast, which could have used a little more syrup on the piece that was standing up but the fruit compotes helped with some dry bits. An iced mocha, fluffy and a latte, all super delicious.
Would definitely recommend this spot for coffee or brunch, the cabinet food looked sooo tempting too. Can't wait to go back and try more.
Our go to place for weekend coffee. Lovely staff and great coffee. Keep in mind weekends they only got sweet cabin food. Their chicken pies are amazing and you can only get them during the weekdays. Great atmosphere with different types of seating to fit everyone. Food from the kitchen are well presented and tasty.

Remains impressive with the amazing presentation of their menu food. You will see my hubby's beetroot salmon dish. You are told to try & eat the rainbow each day for good health, v well this plate of food certainly shows you this.
A keto iced brownie for hubby, his favourite.
A very spicy soy chai latte for me & a chocolate brownie. All delicious

Amazing service, food & coffee.
I had the vegan Sichuan mushrooms with cashew cream. It was delicious 😋
Highly recommend
Good food, Friendly staff, good bread. Third visit of the breakfast club. Consistent high quality. 4.5 stars.
I was close to rating this cafe with five stars because actually we were all very happy with our meals. Big brekky has a real sausage on it, not one of those little cocktail things, and the Chorizo omelet is a consistent crowd pleaser.
Coffee is good and staff were attentive to keeping them coming.
I also very much enjoy taking home a loaf of the artisan bread. It is a bit pricey at $11 but is very well received at home.
Why 4 stars and not five? The bacon is good, but it appears to have been cooked under a weight and perhaps baked.
This makes the bacon hard and brown, but it not the same thing as dry, crispy bacon that has a snap.
If the bacon was crunchy and snapped to the bite, this would have been 5 stars.
Super yummy food and very well presented. Definitely a feast for the eyes. My only small suggestion is that they could turn the music down a bit as we had trouble hearing each other talk. That may just be my middle aged ears though.
Great coffee! My daughter and I visited one morning during the week and it was nice and quiet.
Kids fairy bread was a bit too sweet/sugary ( I mean I know it’s fairy bread but I didn’t expect all the jam) so we also ordered a scone from the cabinet which was unfortunately really dry.
Ginger crunch was a winner though and I’ll definitely be back for a takeaway coffee.
