We stopped for lunch at subway while we were going to franz joseph. We were in search for some vegetarian food and subway at hokitika came to our rescue. Service at subway was slow which was disappointment as there was only one lady who was making sandwich and doing billing . But the subway which was made with pure love was delicious, staff was polite and well behaved.
Ample free parking was available outside this store.
Ordered Large salad and foot long both really nice, good serving size and happy atmosphere.
Thing it was the guy's first day so was a bit of a struggle with the order, but got there in the end
Went to grab subway for tea tonight. Awesome experience, wonderful ladies made the experience so fun, laughed lots and the food was bloody brilliant. Really wonderful to see such happy staff who are so customer focused.
Absolutely great experience both with the food and the staff. One of the staff members was very helpful, nice and at the same time funny. She literally made everyone in the queue smile.
Good for early morning meal. Opens 7am. Grab sandwiches before leaving Hokitika in the morning
The lady who was preparing our subs was super funny and friendly… didn’t mind waiting in the queue while hearing her funny comments! She made me laugh the whole time I was in that shop! The world needs more people like her :-)

Extremely expensive and over priced but was nice food and staff friendly.

The quality is as all subway should be, excellent.
The service was good, and everything was available as it should be.
It usually costs about the same as going to a bakery to get a couple of things, but it is (I am led to believe) healthy too. But get the cookie because its worth it ;-)
All up a pretty quick, satisfying for all, healthy, good meal or snack any time of the day!

12/04/2016 - had my breakfast in this store. I ordered a foot long seafood sandwich. Just like any other Subway stores, it is clean and tidy throughout and has a friendly staff. It's good to see a small place like Hokitika to have one of the major eateries in town.
Would I go back? Yes ☺️, only when I'm going to the West Coast.
